Best budget pedals: The "Nut cracker" - CH Pro Peddals Bought a set 10 years ago when upgraded from a X52 with saitek Peddals (the same Logitech shown in this video, but from the first batches released by saitek in 2005). The saitkes from the first batches have a design flaw, and can jam from time to time, requiring disassembly (there's a small piece with a tendency to jump out of place, jamming the Peddals). Bought a set of virpil ace collection a few weeks ago, and they are miles above the other two.

Great stuff, makes my purchase much easier! I really want Ruddo pedals but as I can get 80% of the way there for 25% of the price the Winwing Orion pedals are what I am settled on.
Great video as always. You are reviewing a niche within a niche though. lol I do use MFG Crosswinds and I do love them. They are like mid tier IMO they work in every flight sim. Like the Others a Damper added (the right way) Makes them reach the Mid level even more. They work very smooth. Zero Problems ever. Center Detent (with a Damper) is just no problem. Mine are mounted on the Floor. This would be my only negative point with the MFG. You have to work to ensure you keep them in place. Understanding - it is not hard to get this done. Fact is if you put them on the floor out of the box they will move on you. I think they are one of the most accurate input to movement I have ever used. I have all Virpil Gear and I went with the MFG Crosswind over Virpil. I love Virpil so MFG did something Right. I think you will still Pick the TM over MFG, You would be (one of the best) to review them with all the other pedals you have used you have more understanding of the big picture here. I don’t think I’d spend more than $10,000 for Rudders, Yoke, stick, throttles for single and multi engine aircraft. I’m wondering if I could build and F-35, F-15EX style all glass panel that could be configured to look like most fighters whether steam gauge or glass. Well. Thanks for the great videos and information. I appreciate everyone’s opinions and ideas
Just out of curiosity, why do you need a centre detent? As a former commercial helicopter pilot, I never saw any detent in pedals but I haven’t flown every helicopter.
This is more about planes but yes the detent section is all about having no detent and being smooth all the way through. The higher end pedals do this much better.
I originally had the Thrustmaster TPR pedals and loved them however I recently built a sim rig and they simply didn’t fit… the central pillar is too tall and the pedals are still too wide. I hope something in the mid-range comes out that aren’t so wide that can be easily incorporated into most rigs.
@@MikeInKing Unfortunately that’s the negative of not using aluminium profile. I made my own desk mounts which were just MonsterTech clones. I even used the same Bessey clamp. @@MikeInKing Good point. Anti torque are typically next to each other. In general probably a limitation of the rotational mechanisms used at this level. The closer they are the more sensitive they become, so they have to be excessively wide to make them more usable.
I installed a damper on mine and works great for helicopters and fixed wing. Quite frankly I don’t know why one would want spring return anyway, you are always fighting against the springs and you can always find center anyway.
Unfortunately not. They have been hard to get the way it's rolled out and I don't like talking about anything I haven't tried. How the build quality on them?
@ I happen to get 1. Build quality I say is 4/5. Plastic all around but the kind of plastic that is not cheap. The pedals are metal. The springs inside gives good/correct amount of tension and there is no wobbling or slack in the neutral position. Toe brakes are also working as it should. It is cheaper than the pendulum pedals of TM but I’d say it is toe to toe on build quality. My only gripes maybe are its big footprint and if it is on top of a carpet it does not grip it properly so it moves when you kick it. I hope they make a force feedback version in the future. I fly mainly Airbus aircraft so force feedback is not really on top of my list.
Wasn't really a comparison as such. I wanted to see where each set would end up in a points system, just looking at it from a different angle. I think the clear message I got is that the mid tier rudders really do quite well for the price.
I don't recommend these. I did a video on them a while back. They are good but they almost sit among the mid tier rudders in terms of price but with a budget feel which is why I don't recommend them for PC.

Hi there, it seems this is the first time your using some score/grading system. While I am not against it, there are some remarks. Firstly, design is very, very subjective. While I don't really see people enjoying the design of the T.Flight or G. Pro, I think grading this is moot. Furthermore, there's the ease-of-use, it only touches down on the Brunner, while I think it's a valid point, the other devices receive an 8, except for the TPR and Ruddo+ which receive a 9. What I am missing is an explanation why these devices received a higher grade. You simply brush over this point saying that it's close, but you never detail your decision. It seems this section solely exists to lower the score of the Brunner. The category marked as 'adaptability' does not seem to touch down on anything remotely concerning adaptability, I think you meant 'compatibility' as you only mention the Orion and VPC ACE being 'compatible' with most if not all sims. I feel grading pricing is ridiculous if you simply grade the cheapest product highest, and the most expensive one lowest. There is a point to be made about value, but simply slapping a 9.5 on a product for being cheapest and slapping a 2 on the most expensive product just makes the category worthless. When covering the features, you mention the TPR. They score lower than the Orion and Ace. You never mention why, you simply brush over this by saying they're 'more-or-less' holding up. This is nonsensical, why not cover why you think they deserve a lower score? We also reach the point of detents. You grade the devices on how well you feel the detent. You make it seem that a product is better, when no detent can be observed. However, I know that the VPC ACE comes with different CAM's even one that specifically has no center, which you are using because you installed the Damper-mod for the Virpils. Smoothness is a nice category, however, it kind of conflicts with the detent. As you describe, you are grading the entire range of motion and how smooth it is. However, we already touched down on detents, and obviously, if there's a detent it is not smooth. To be honest, the video seems a bit lacking, especially when scores are close you fail to dive in how and why these scores are established the way they are. I know you have the hardware, but I get the feeling this video was made by somebody who just read some reviews and Reddit posts, and then went on the apply some random scores. Also, in the video description you mention you touch down on 'overall value' however, this is not true. By pricing alone, the cheapest are the best and the most expensive ones, are a waste of money.
WINWING are a great pedal. That's why I put them in this video. All the pedals are up there for what they bring. Do you have the damper mod in the winwing?

I know you have the hardware, but I get the feeling this video was made by somebody who just read some reviews and Reddit posts, and then went on the apply some random scores.
Also, in the video description you mention you touch down on 'overall value' however, this is not true. By pricing alone, the cheapest are the best and the most expensive ones, are a waste of money.
No VKB love? Looking forward to seeing what Moza brings.
The VKBs don't have to brakes, no good for flight Sim. Maybe space sik and heli though
Must be something behind why you should leave out the brilliant Cross Wind MFG.
I've just never managed to get a chance to test them. I don't like speaking about anything I haven't had experience with.
Sorry but Winwing Orion for me all day
WINWING are a great pedal. That's why I put them in this video. All the pedals are up there for what they bring. Do you have the damper mod in the winwing?
@@g-locmedia Your reviews are the best and fair. Thanks for the videos they are high quality, I can't even begin to imagining the amount of work and time it takes to create them ....thanks again... I have Subscribed
@MILSIM530 Thanks for the kind feedback mate
Wheres the mfg crosswinds?
Unfortunately I've never tried the crosswinds. Only like to make videos about products I have tried and tested.
No Slaws?
Unfortunately not. You're the second person to mention these. I think its something I'll need to try and get my hands on.
@g-locmedia They're art!
No slav devices ?
Never tried them before but would love to. They do look really good.
@g-locmedia they are very good and in terms of build quality/ materials used/ ability to use damper , change cams /springs they were first on the market
@@tomcatvrkalisz820 I just had a look at them. They look very good. Thanks for letting me know.
No MFG Crosswind!
Unfortunately I've not had a chance to use them. I think this comment could be a common thread here.
The Virpil Ace move around too much on the floor
I have them on quite a thin carpet and though they were pretty good. Although I guess it depends on the spring tension you're using.
Unless your a girl TFRP are very unconfortable
Lol. Tell me more about that
@g-locmedia well I think you understand that the 2 Ballon like having some space, but anyway what do you think of the Saitek Pro flight Combat Rudder pedal, just like the turtle beach one,you can change their angle
