Funny I’m in rags to riches in life as a artist a, jewelry designer to sell and sugar body natural scrubs, and bake cakes for thanksgiving and Christmas to sell .
The reason the chowder is going so fast as it's fall. They prefer certain foods based on the seasons. Icecream and drinks do well in the summer or hot days and warm toasty foods and drinks do well in colder weather and seasons.
@Minxy3922 yeah I found this out through my own selling table when I made lemonade and stuff in the summer and there was a pop up about it. It does help alot especially in rags to riches.
Only 2 minutes in but you should get a bonsai tree. That's great for gardening skill when there's nothing else to do with the plants. I got sick and tired of waiting for my sims gardening skill to go from level 8 to 10 to finish the aspiration because tending the plants does so little so I got that and it worked wonders.
I’m pretty sure it was said at the end of the last let’s play that the point of the nectar was to have it be her “prized possession” n not to sell it 🤷♀️ idk tho I could be remembering it wrong.
If you don't want to blackmail people, you can just confront them and not do anything else. If you don't promise to keep the secret, then sometimes the sim will approach you and give you a bribe to keep it and it will actually be more than 100 Simoleons. I'm not sure if it happens every time, but it happened to me once when I forgot to blackmail them.
Clear the table after a sale, then drag the food back into the table before having her put back in her inventory. Then the food will be in the table, in her inventory and she won't eat it.
@@moonpie21012 Generally a house with multiple fridges have a shared inventory so I wonder if it would be different in a rental? I would guess not but it's possible

I got a coupon for "75% off a computer purchase" and it didn't seem to take anything off the laptop I bought. Does it mean like buying something FROM a computer? I'm so confused. 😅
What I love about the hopscotch too is ontop of all the different rock animations _every_ swatch has a slightly different arrangement of numbers which the animation adjusts too... I swear half the budget just went into this item
If I remember correctly the very first community voted pack thing had an option for a pack about doing the grim reaper's job as a career. I wanted that one so badly but we got laundry instead I think. Maybe the grim reaper jokes and hints could be related to that potential pack concept. I think the paranormal pack was also one of the ideas in that survey and we did end up getting that one eventually, so I hope we'll get the grim reaper one someday also.
Yep, there was. It does often take a year to do packs, so if SG Ninja was talking about it quite a while back, I wouldn't give up quite yet. I believe they toss out those mentions nonchalantly to see what the reaction is sometimes.
I have also learned so much about different foods from Sims 4, I often look up recipes for things I haven’t heard of before. Sims has done a great job of including different food cultures! 🥘🍱🥟
What James pointed out about Grim made me remember that becoming a grim reaper had been one of the community vote possibilities when Knifty Knitting had ended up winning And well, when Laundry Day had come out, an Eco pack had also been a choice and later on came out as Eco Lifestyle. So who knows, maybe they are actually working on the other community vote concept and are making a Grim Reaper pack after all. Would for sure be nice
Yeah, we don’t get the same intros as the horse ranch letsplay… But, Hey we get "What stupid merch is Laird wearing today?" Ahhaha I love the series so far can’t wait to see how pretentious Laird the “landlairdy” becomes.
So I got the pack, tried to see how little I have to do to keep my tenants happy... You have to do absolutely nothing, no inspections, no maintenance, hire a maid, and you can ignore that there are people renting from you. The maid cleans stuff in the shared spaces, which makes your Tenants happy, no revolts, Events handle themself (even when fully ignored) and the rating goes up, had 5 apartments with max rating after 6 days. Hire a butler instead of the Maid and that one will even repair things :D Truly the pack with the least bit of gameplay in it.
I lived in an apartment once where the man who lived below me was definitely always building something. My partner and I called him Bob the Builder, and every morning around 6am, he would also go out on his balcony and blow train whistles. My only regret is never talking to him and finding out what in the world he was building.
I’m Jewish and hearing you pronouncing Challah made me laugh. And growing up where English isn’t my first language, The Sims games series helped me so much with learning the English vocabulary overall and new words that I’d probably wouldn’t have seen in any context anywhere else. I still don’t know what rosebud is but that doesn’t matter 😂
I'm Italian-American, but Challah is a big thing in NYC and on Easter even for Catholics. It's funny to me that it seems there might not be any or many Jewish people in Australia. The US is the only true melting pot in the world! 🫂 🤗
A bud is a flower that hasn't bloomed yet, you can also use it as a verb, to say something is budding means it is in the early stages of growth. So a rosebud is simply the bud of a rose
Is this the series where alien abductions come back after being on hiatus for two series? I mean, Laird is hanging out with the McGlorbins an awful lot so....
i think the grill got "repaired" while traveling between units on the home lot. Remember the pink flamingo hotel video, the same thing happend with the stove and i think the sims team didn't fix that bug. i wonder if it would work with the burned stuff in the household inventory, if you put it outside in the common space.
I usually cook the Turkey and other holiday meals, then sell that. Usually sells for a lot. I had 300% markup and at level 6-7 cooking skill, and earned 300+ simoleans per serving of that hahaha!
I don't know if anyone mentioned this, but you can have your sims research the plants they're growing to obtain knowledge about the plant and it also increases gardening skill. You can only research plants once per day, at least that's how its worked in my game. It will increase her gardening skill the more plants you have to research.
Make an easel and put in the shared area. Then you can steal other sims paintings and sell them. Also sell all the white cakes that your roommates makes.
Speaking of learning things, I actually learned so much english as a kid just by playing the sims. All the skills, food, traits etc. It really is good for learning English:D
Surprised that there aren't more people shouting about 'Glercia' actually being Glerica! But I feel like 'Glercia McGlorbin' has a nicer ring to it anyway 😂 The 'which way I'm gonna go' dabbing sequence followed by immediately reminding us that he is a genius has me in stitches 🤣😂
I tried selling fine nectar worth 11k simoleans on the market table, but the individual portions only sold for a few hundred 🤷♀ turned out to be more profitable selling from inventory
I think you can get the gardening skill by pruning the shape of a bunch of Bonsai trees (I remember doing a line of 5 or 6 of them). I think it grows back fast enough that it's worth it compared to waiting for the plants to need tending. I just don't remember how much they cost 😬
If you put the trash piles from the floor into the dumpster, you can dumpster dive. Also you can use gardening to reduce your expenses as a chef by using fresh ingredients!
i think I’d love to see a Laird x Glercia romance lol where they run their for rent franchise together; one could be generous and the other could be evil, sounds like a killer power team 🙈
I am waiting to see the renovation 😂 or at least room upgrade. Also, more crafting instead of selling food would be great! Goes hand in hand by being handyman/girl. I think Laird needs to show that she's good at being a landlord and fix the walls etc. At least some small nice changes before becoming an actual landlord
The fact that James' subreddit hit the goal of 25,000 members and us getting Hotel Build Part 4 now, with For Rent having released, is just *_perfectly_* timed on all parts

I'm so enjoying this new series of yours. Laird's apartment building is such a dump, lol! To raise her gardening, she could get a bonsai plant. She could interact with that more often than her temperamental garden plants. Love you and Laird wearing the matching T-shirts!
James, in real life when you play hopscotch, you throw the stone usually in order starting at #1. You skip that number and when you come back to it, you pick up the stone and skip it again. Then you throw it to #2 and so on. Everyone takes turns, and the first person to finish it wins. You have to start again if you drop your foot in a skip or fall when picking up the stone. I love that the Sims team added that game play in even though they do it randomly. :)
