Honestly the most unrealistic part of this pack is the landlords come to fix your stuff without you having to yell at them 900 times lmao. My immersion is broken!

It took our apartment complex more than a year to replace our oven. We would have moved out had it been cheap enough we could have actually saved enough to move. Without an oven, we got a countertop oven that was okay and a burner plate. We're finally moving out. We don't want to pay $1800 a month for a place that takes over a year to fix our necessities.
But it is 100% accurate that THE LANDLORD makeS a mess then fines YOU for it

I want to see James and Gluon run apartments together. "The Apartment Boys" or "The Compound Boys". It is very imperative this happens, I demand and ask humbly at the same time that they do this. Please. They have to do the voices too, it will be Phenooomenaaaaal.

Mold is cool but being hysterical is still the deadliest thing in the game! Almost all of my sims died from it... In addition the comedian is like being serial killer in this game :D

Fr, I was literally thinking “they must have taken a lot of inspiration from the last of us.”
It's so realistic. I'm renting an apartment and I have to deal with mold regularly. The piles show up in random places (fortunately they don't reapear in the places I removed them from). It's annoying, and I am even allergic to the mold repelers... However it's better than just ignoring it. My neighbor got sick and ended up hospitalized for a few months because of the mold in her rented apartment. She didn't know what caused her illness till I pointed it out. I visited her one time and I instantly saw an unimaginable pile of black mold around the windows. Apparently it was already there when she moved in and she thought it's a black paint till I told her that's how mold looks like and that similar thing was in my place but not that bad yet. And I told her how I dealt with it (mold repellent, lots of cleaning plus an antimold paint). She moved out afterwards. There is someone else living there now. I wonder if them or the owner removed the huge pile of black mold or the owner waits till yet another tenant gets hospitalized.
Dehumidifier! Can't live without it in my house
@@Kristenhas3cats My house isn't particularly humid (well, it is during summer - about 60-80%, I do use dehumidifier then). The trouble is with temperature differences. When cold months come the humidity (of 35-65%) seeks the coldest place to turn into water drops there - and where water his mold grows. It's not much of a problem if the place is waterproof and well insulated but unfortunately my place is pained with a very cheap paint (I am not allowed to paint walls - I only painted the parts near window because I figured the owner won't see that anyway) and there is virtually no insulation of the walls. The humidity goes to the coldest part of the wall, I use mold repellent there and stick a piece of an easy peel off waterproof sticker and in a few months I find new mold in another part of the wall because the previously coldest part is now isolated with the sticker. I could stick the sticker to the whole wall but it would cost me a lot of money because the stickers are expensive and only come in max 90x200cms pieces while the wall is about 300cms tall.
Endure and survive!!!! That's another reference to The Last Of Us, it's an iconic phrase. Love that they added it to the moodlet for the spores/mold hah

About that rule violation thing, I wonder if you could set that kind of rule and then constantly go into your tenant's appartment to spam the tv and collect those sweet sweet simoleons?
Honestly it feels like it spread too quickly, maybe it was an accident or the size of the lot was at play? It's fun to have challenges or dirt around your lot, but if it changes from "two nasty stains" to "clean everything right now or you'll die" within a day then you pretty much have to get rid of it right away or you'll die, 0 to 100 lol
When the toilet broke it went quick, without that it’s much slower - look to my first early access video in the hotel, I played for 9 days in game and we did get mold but it really wasn’t trouble or annoying tbh

Gluon forced mold on his stream by placing trash piles from debug & breaking every water utility. Even then it took a few ingame days to form the toxic mold but when the Sims got sick they died fast.

This makes me so sad 😢 my last apartment was covered in toxic black mold. Not only did it destroy all our belongings but it put my son and I in the hospital 🏥 I sued my landlord and won.

James is so goofy- I love it. His intros always make me laugh, as do the rest of his antics. Maybe kinda random, but I always think he’ll make a great dad.
Semaj is basically James sims alter ego. He sits in dirty toilet water, washes dishes in the bathroom sink, disturbs the neighbours with loud tv at night. Avoids his landlord for tenancy violation. He’s a right rebel 😂
I think the reason it reduces/resets off lot is that The Sims, traditionally, does not like for Sims to die off of an active lot. For instance, you couldn't drown in the ocean/lakes in TS3 once ocean swimming was added.
I'm watching with closed captions on and it's so funny. Every time you say "Johnny Zest" it says "Johnny ass" in captions. "I don't actually want Johnny's ass anymore" "Can I do anything directly to Johnny's ass with mold?" 😂😂😂

I'm super upset they didn't take the opportunity to make zombies in this game, proper TLOU vibes with spore zombies. It does make it a bit scarier to think your Sim could die, but imagine how cool it would be if they could rise up and be a walking dead funghi. :)

😂 this was so accurate! Getting sick by mold basically causes Bronchitis and the Pneumonia which is deadly so good accuracy Sims, but the death animation is hilarious also the notify “fungus among us” 😄😄😄😄
It would’ve been cool if Grim popped up in a hazmat suit, when a sim dies from mould
You can be protected from toxic spores by wearing a Strangerville suit 🍄 You can also "Attach a Mold Buster Dehumidifie" to your Roomba (Cats&Dogs). And ofc use a spell to burn the mold. This is a good cross-pack features!

I think I’m most excited to finally have more apartment options. I never liked moving fresh young adult sims into houses cause it’s not realistic that a young adult fresh out of college or just got a job could own a house. So now my sims can finally move out of their parents houses and not just have to go live in San Myshuno

If the mold is anything like the dust from bust to dust, there's going to be a lot of unhappy players and months of buffing and nerfing the mold system so that it either doesn't do anything or is so unplayable that no one uses that lot challenge ever again.

When For Rent is released can you please make a slumlord let’s play? Separate from the Bigwallet let’s play. So you can have a save that won’t affect Laird’s life, but still be awful.
IIRC there was a suggestion to have Laird be a good landlord and Wren to be a slumlord 🙂
It's really fun figuring out other Sims secrets and then blackmail them or keep the secret.

In Turkey we dont use the toilet like that. We separate bathroom and toilet and when we use toilet we wear plastic toilet slippers. Because pee is splashing around😅 I see so many youtuber who use like that. I think it is disgusting. Please separate 🙈

I feel like mold is happening a little too fast. It's not very realistic. It makes sense that it grows quicker if the apartment is dirty but it's too quick. Also I feel like you should be able to inform the landlord about the mold infestation and have them remove it, that's more realistic to me than having the tenant deal with it.
