By the way, every one of your videos I've watched have been really good and covered stuff other Physical Therapy channels don't talk about. +1

Looks good, but I found a Neck Flex - MMB Pro Series on Amazon for $109. Why? I need to start really slow, but I'm starting to lift weights again and I get a lot of neck pain when lifting or sitting at my desk working. I've gotten really lazy for several years once my right hip got avascular necrosis. Also, we didn't have a stable place to live for a few years, which made it a bit silly to try and move around equipment. Decent apartment now, so I'm starting to buy stuff. They have dumbells and an incline bench (no rack, bummer) in a fitness room. So glad I don't need to buy those again. Just some plates. But this is a Senior complex, so I will recommend the NeckFlex to my older neighbors.

This just seems like a way more awkward version of an Iron Neck no?

The NecksLevel tends to be a much better starting point for clinical populations, and more geared to early-stage neck rehabilitation, but you are indeed asking an excellent question. I use them both with my patients, and they’re both great. Think of one as a dumbbell and the other as a kettlebell; neither is “better” than the other, they have lots of overlap and each one also has unique strengths that make it more ideal for different uses. Iron Neck is often more ideal for late stage rehab, and injury prevention, typically (but not always) in younger, healthier individuals. NecksLevel often shines for those in early stages, be it from whiplash-associated disorders (WAD), combined cervical dysfunction with vestibular/balance issues, and so on. Ultimately, they’re both outstanding devices and have their respective time and place for utilization depending on the specific needs of the individual/patient/athlete looking to work on their neck health. Great question to ask!

@@StrengthResurgence Thank you for the super quick answer! The analogies make sense, I would give the NecksLevel to my mom and I would do the Iron Neck :)

@@StrengthResurgence I have a 4 way neck machine that uses plates. Would this or the Iron Neck be better to maintain a healthy neck or are they about the same as a neck machine? I am asking bc I tend to pull a certain neck muscle doing the neck machine. I like strengthening my neck but this is a nuisance. I try to stay really strict but still tends to happen. Thanks!

@@shawnpearce8788 All of them can be quite ideal in their own ways. If you’re constantly finding that the 4-way is tweaking something despite using ideal load, intensity, etc., then looking at other options could be warranted. The more unhealthy someone’s neck is, the more I’d lean towards the NecksLevel; the healthier and stronger their neck, the more I’d lean towards the Iron Neck, especially if it’s for a young athlete participating in sports, particularly those that are contact-based. I have a video on my channel that shows how you can opt to try some basic theraband exercises for your neck, and if you can use a heavier resistance band and tolerate those exercises well, then I’d perhaps lean more towards the Iron Neck. But honestly, both are great pieces of equipment to use. Hope this helps! Stay strong! 💪

Unfortunately not. I don’t have any affiliation with NecksLevel other than them sending the device for me to review.
