Thank you for encouraging words Kumar. Yes when you are enrolling in CBSE board school then Hindi is compulsory for second language. For third language you can choose either local language or foreign language or any special language. It is best to talk to your kid if he can gel well with students in classroom conversing in local language. As he is in teens he may feel out of place in initial phase. But later he may catch up also. It depends to child to child how nicely he adapts to the new environment. Academic wise yes he has to choose languages as it's compulsory in Indian school curriculum unlike American school curriculum. All the best for your move!

Good discussion Avinash and guests, It’s not easy discussing about your personal experiences . I would like to add Indian community in North America is strong and kids learn Indian values as well. They are proud of Indian heritage
Thank you! True big kudos to guests who are open to share their personal journeys as they would help others. NA has lot of Indian diaspora which with different indian activities for kids
Thanks for the great video! I need your help to understand - I’m planning to return to Hyderabad, India, from the USA by mid-2025. Does my 13-year-old son need to mandatorily take a second language like Hindi, Telugu, or any foreign language in the CBSE curriculum apart from English? Any other suggestions in this regard would be helpful. Thanks!
Kannada he is not learning. So we are going change his third language to Sanskrit in 5th grade which he can learn from scratch next year when he will be in 5th grade. Because the school is international school Kannada learning may be diluted at his 4th grade. Thank you for your question
Being a believer in astrology, it was interesting that @sreelathapendu mentioned astrology at the end if the video. Wonder if it played a role in their move back.
@Achtungatutube Yes astrology did played important role in our move. According to our birth charts the time for move had already come. But COVID delayed it for an year. There was no specific date that COVID will end. So according to astrology if we missed this opportunity the next opportunity may come very late and by that time my son would be grown up more and it would be more difficult for him to adjust. That's why we undertook this dare devil act of travelling in peak of COVID 😅. Thank you for your question. Hope I answered well.
@@sreelathapendu: : Hi , firstly thanks for all the inputs and it really helped me a lot . I could connect a lot as I am in US. One question out of curiosity, is your son US born ? if so won’t the same problems that you mentioned , will that not repeat later when he settles there in US as a citizen ? This is just for my knowledge to understand things from experienced like you . Pls advise
@@RakeshSingh-k2q So just taking birth in USA and USA citizenship doesn't make the child Americanized. The upbringing environment and education plays the major role. We are brought up in India cultural environment then even though we went to USA we identify and act the Indian way right. We atleast don't marry in other ethnic group. So even when my son goes to USA in later part of life I am sure he will marry in Indian culture and continue our heritage. According to astrology the jubiter (planet) matures by 14 years. By that time the believe systems and 'identity' are formed. Whenever the child is brought up that environment he identifies with that environment. That forms the foundation of a person's existence. For example even if my son born in USA, he never says I am American, he says I am Indian because he is brought up in Indian environment. Hope this answers your question. All the best!

Lol!.😂 'Indian culture' means different to different people. All have their own perspective. For us it means Indian languages, Indian festivals, Indian cuisines, Indian family values and Indian ethnic wears etc.....
