@@RutuUSA I think the Ayurvedic doctor’s advice is the most inappropriate in this case. Ayurvedic doctors do not perform surgery and I suspect he had no much understanding of this condition. Surgery is the only treatment for brain tumours.
I watched the sad and unfortunate story of your life and can understand how tough the situations would have been for you. You faced everything boldly and handled with steady mind. Anyone else in your place would have collapsed. Narrating the events chronologically without a tear in your eyes shows your inner strength. We may blame the system but whatever happened had to happen as per the script and that's the reason you stay put there to face the allocated Prarabdha. I wish you and your children a good life in future. God bless.
@@DesiReturn USA is the land of the FREE & BRAVE, it's not a country for weak hearted emotional people and unfortunately Indians come under the category of the latter one. Indian culture is completely opposite to that of USA. You have to back yourself to win it in USA, by BACK YOURSELF means only by yourself nobody will come to save you, if you get in trouble and we Indians are not used to it. We don't have individualistic culture here, we have collective culture which helps to sort all our problems with the help of family.
I am so sorry to hear this, the pain and agony Sahithi went through on her own, the suffering her husband went through, it’s heartbreaking. You are so good to let her tell her story without interruption. She is such a strong person . I can feel her pain. God bless you and your children Sahithi
WE HAVE LOST THE SUPPORT OF JOINT FAMILY AND THIS IS AN EXAMPLE WHERE A GRAND PA A GRAND MA WHO ARE IN GOOD HEALTH CAN TAKE CARE AND SUPPORT FAMILIES IN CRISIS.
Hats off to the brave lady. She went through so much. I wish her story had a different ending. I wish her and kids a new beginning and all the best in India
Well, you should check out with the white Americans who come to India for medical tourism for life saving surgeries. We dont have to wait endlessly for MRI & test reports & we have options to change our doctors you see. We decide & not our medical insurance decide & so save your exclamatory mark for America & Canada.
She is a strong soul. Going through this much with 2 kids in a foreign country is hell on earth. She will be fine and kids will have great life in motherland.
America doesn't have any charm left at his point. I'm the second generation here, have lived here for the past 33 years, and came to America as a teen. I don't want to stay here. I'm exploring the option of moving elsewhere, but not to India. I'm not sure why Indians dream of coming here.
@@RakeshP-qk5fm certainly. India still has a long way to go, but for the most part, people going to India are H1 folks who can not keep going on H1 and can not reside here because of limitations-I am sure there are some exceptions, too.
This isn’t the American dream; it’s an American nightmare. It’s deeply disheartening, and unfortunately, similar things are happening in the UK. My heart goes out to that brilliant man who wanted nothing more than to be there for his wife and kids, but tragically, he’s no longer with us. As men, we often prioritize everything-especially work-over our own health, and it can have devastating consequences. I experienced something similar with an ear problem that led to facial paralysis in November and December of 2022. I have immense respect for the courageous woman who shared her story with such strength and resilience. She’s gone through so much pain. I hope her husband is watching over her and their children in some way. May his soul rest in peace.
Thank you for sharing your experiences and hope you are all well now. Well said about her husband who was thinking positive even when he was not getting treatment. Special respect and kudos to Shaithi!!
@@L20241 NHS is not the same as it used to be. When you have to wait months for treatment, you have no choice than spending your own money for private treatment. I can see NHS is driving people towards that path.
@@SUJAMUK it’s the same here in the US but a million times more costly. I have to wait 20-30 min for my pcp during my appointment which is hardly 15 mins. After that I’m charged with a huge bill. Even when I was in London I have to wait 20 mins but it’s “free”. I’d much rather that than over here!
I am a doctor in India Hyd there is a tremendous Change in the health care system. No one needs to stay for hrs in the emergency n for appointments. There are wonderful Drs who care for the pts immediately- love my fraternity.
I feel bad for her. She is a fighter. It's bad luck. What is the guarantee, that this surgery might have been successful in India? It's related to the brain, which is always risky. We can't just rule out like that. In India, they might have paid a great deal of money too.
I empathize with you. You are a very strong woman. Best Mother and Wife one can imagine. On a side note HealthCare is not that bad in the US. I am a provider Physician in the system, so probably will take the blame. If one is very sick they have morelikelihood to survive in the US compared to rest of the world. If one is not that sick then one will feel neglected here. God give you all the courage and happiness to lead your life suc free soul raising your beautiful children.
@@lakshmig2061 I can't help out than to differ with your opinion...… In US only the rich men get treatment.....others can't reach out to the hospitals... 😢😢😢😢 From Calcutta India
I live in San Diego, due to severe neck pain and headaches I had to go to Urgent care recently. One of the Senior most Doctors attended my case and he just gave me a pink slip and asked me go to a different location and consult ER, he mentioned that the headache could be due to timer in brain. I waited and took another appointment with my physician from the same hospital, she clearly stated that the pain is due to spondylitis. I got some Medication and got relief after a week. I am planning to move back to India next year. I have seen enough green grass here. It’s enough no more $$ dreams!!
I am a Surgeon myself in the US and I can certainly empathize with your story. Truly sorry for your loss. A lot of frustrations that you had mentioned in your video have explanations, but I feel nobody has taken the time to clarify these issues for you. To me, as a Physician, although I don't know the complete details of your husband's case, it wasn't the Dural AVF by itself that stands out as the problem. That was a relatively uncommon complication that your husband had developed and I wouldn't necessarily fault your husband's Surgeon for that. In my opinion, things REALLY took a downturn during that Angiogram and that's what I can't understand. Knowing what happened there is the key to this entire situation. But, I know that it's not going to bring your husband back..unfortunately. Stay strong for your kids and I am sure that you are in the Almighty's good graces
Thank you Dr Vasanth. I feel sorry for Sahithi and her family for the irreplaceable loss. May God be with them in guiding them and giving them the strength to get through with the loss. These things happen in India too, my brother in law fell down and the Dr in India sent him home after checking him up. They didnt do an MRI or give proper instructions. the next day he went into coma, then he was on ventilator. The trauma and the expenses the family went through was unimagineable. At the end we lost him.
Sir, but delaying/cancelling the appointments multiple times would not it increase the pressue. if not, appointments were cancelled i believe situation would have been different
So unfortunate. I had tears hearing what happened and feels very sad to her and family. 😢 She is very brave to share the story. God bless her and family.
One people have to leave to India due to their job loss or due to their personal situation, they blame USA and people living in the USA. Pathetic mentality 😨
I’ve had one colleague in India whose 5 year old kid due to late detection of leukaemia by the doctors in Mumbai passed away. And theres my cousins son who stays in Canada - got diagnosed with leukaemia at 4 years has received excellent treatment from Sickkids; she talks about how empathetic the doctors are. He is not allowed to travel to India for next 2 years since it’s a risky high infection prone country. Getting good treatment in any country is actually a matter of luck
Absolutely, why do they talk about the US or even any other country. Instead talk about the situation for the people lower middle class. Are they getting good medical care??
Yes. This is true. Also depends on the individual patient and the condition. We all hope something unfortunate like this will never happen to us. But the difference between living in India and the USA is the family support. A lot of us do not have that here.
I am so sorry to hear about your loss and you went through a lot Working in the US and hospital system I know sometimes appointments we have to wait for longer time But anything can happen to anyone My brother in India drove to hospital due to cough and chest discomfort to a local hospital in Ernakulam and transferred to a well known hospital stayed over a month spend 25-30 lakhs and He is no more Originally they said viral pneumonia then they said bacterial pneumonia On the other hand my cousin came to US as a newly married couple 6 months after he got married diagnosed with cancer Started treatment in India during that time they got the Visa and came to US He was able to get treatment without any insurance back in 2007 Then his wife use to say things are much easier here than in India He is no more either What I am trying to say is complications can happen anywhere My heart goes out for you Be strong God Loves you
I am a Hospitalist in United States… I really feel for this poor young woman and her 2 little children… very very unfortunate.. I would be frustrated beyond limits if the Angiogram is rescheduled multiple times this way.. I wish he had remained in the Hospital instead of leaving, maybe the outcome would be different… who knows.. Things in India is also not rosy, especially in Hospitals. However in Hyderabad and Chennai things are much more professional I think. I sincerely pray, Sahithi and the children are ok in India..
Lots of strength to you Sahithi. I was crying while listening to you. Yes, America is good until we are fit and fine. Once we have any health issues, it turns into nightmare. Take care of yourself ❤
I’ll chime in because many of my relatives are doctors in America. The reason why there’s a shortage of doctors in America is because the doctors association of America ensures that there’s only a limited amount of medical school seats so that they can keep their fees high. Low supply of doctors + high demand from the general public for healthcare means doctors make $$$$$. The solution is simply to increase the number of seats in medical school, but the doctors association won’t allow that because it will dilute their pay.
I live in the Dublin TriValley and it’s honestly sickening what the AMA is doing!! Doctors here have half a dozen houses whereas ordinary people even high paid techies can’t buy even 1 home!
@@deepthirao164no he/she is not misinformed. I’ve heard the exact same thing about the AMA artificially keeping doctors counts low by increasing barriers of entry from the get go
Heartbreaking story😢 Unfortunately, the other developed countries e.g. Australia are the same. The suffering of going through their healthcare system is much worse than the actual suffering.
This is the true reality of US health care infrastructure. Thanks Sahithi for sharing your heart wrenching experience. I moved US 5 years ago to live with my children. I am 67 years old, and I used to hear that in US, health care is very good, but the reality is that it is not available when we need it. The long waits for a simple consultation from a doctor is very much frustrating. We cant take a second opinion easily from another doctor if we are not satisfied with the procedure. We are so much tied up with the insurance and the infrastructure. We really feel helpless.
Huge respect for Sahithi! Not an easy feat! First to go through and to explain in detail for other’s learning. Thank you so much for bringing her on this podcast. Thanks to the host for his empathy.
Here I listened to her inch by inch and very sad that the man who had a lot of dreams went to the hospital casually and never came back I personally felt that he should have listened to his wife and had to come to India so that he could have multiple opinions and hopefully could have gotten right
So unfortunate, Sahithi has courage to share her tragedy. I wish well for family and kids. Losing parent at such a young age after surgery is unthinkable.
My daughter was almost 18 months and didn’t uttered a word and also not responding to Her name and not able to do any motor skills. We were so worried we tried to get an appointment with behavioral doctor and that appointment is almost 4 months away. Also we had to fill out so many forms and applications to let top doctors see my daughter. Than me and my wife took a decision to move back to India best decision ever Made in my life. Within a week after landing in India my daughter was seen my best doctors and the she herself recommended Ayurvedic therapy so we have met best doctors and therapists. She’s now behaving like regular kids nonstop talking. She’s also enrolled into top school in Hyderabad. (Prekg) i cannot put my happiness in words. I see lot of kids in USA with behavioral issues compared to India. The life is so lonely for kids in USA . Kids are attached to iPad and television. Atleast in India kids have family and friends around them to keep them busy. If you’re noticing any behavioral issues in your kid pack your bags and take them to India and you’ll see change.
If your daughter had spoken as one year old, you would have stayed in the USA and your daughter would have been hanging with iPads like you mentioned the kids in the USA are doing. just because you returned, you should not blame them like that. everyone should talk to their kids when they were babies, in India since a lot of people are there, it doesn't matter even though parents do not speak to them.
Very sorry to hear your plight mam. I am an Orthopedic Surgeon who returned back to India after working in London for 10 years. I have been working in India since the past 12 years. I can clearly say that India healthcare has changed a lot and you can equate easily with any western country. Many of the doctors like me have come back now and we practice the same values as in western world. I hear lot of stories of the pitiful healthcare there. I keep getting patients from many countries to have surgery and go back as it is economically much better. I suggest all of you not to suffer there and just take a flight back home for at least an advice. I operated on an elderly mother who went there to help her pregnant daughter. She sustained fracture and had to sit at home for almost 3 weeks as she didn’t have an insurance. I was shocked the way she returned to India. It was almost like having treatment from a bone setter as she just had some splintage by a local known person and the mother was in so much pain as she couldn’t get enough pain killers also. She was so relieved after the surgery and said that she would never dare to go back to that country again. I urge all of you not to suffer in silence. You can now do online consultation and if required fly back to India. We have best of the doctors and hospitals that match with any of the top hospitals abroad.
Thanks a lot for sharing your experiences Dr. Sunil. We have another guest (doctor Kiran Peddi) on recent episode who studied/worked in London for 10 years and been living in India for the past 14 years sharing his thoughts on healthcare in India.
This is the reason, why it’s soo important to have health insurance weather you travel from India to UK or from UK to India . NHS is struggling to cope with lack of finance. The UK residents are struggling for care . If you neglect by travelling abroad without insurance, you have to pay from your own pocket weather in India or UK . Very important Lesson, PLEASE TAKE INSURANCE before you go abroad . The children who invite parents to support them , must ADVICE . 🙏🙏
RIP brother. I can relate to this kind of suffering. One can clearly see the pain in her narrating the story. So sorry for your loss. God bless the kids.
My condolences to you, Sahithi. Every word you said arose from your heart and I felt the pain you went through. I pray to god to give you the strength to cope with your loss and to be able to bring up your children in the best way possible. You rightly pointed out that In India, we don't have to wait long for appointments and we have the choice of moving from one hospital to the other easily. Thanks for sharing your story.
Dear sister you went thru a lot. Words cannot comfort you. I am really appreciating your courage to explain your journey thru the valley of shadows of death. May the Lord take care of you and your dear children.
This problem is not only with US it is with other countries other than India. We live in NewZealand and yes we have doctors shortage here. They dont take anything seriously at all. India our country is better in education and healrhcare system too. Hopefully we come back to India by this year end.
What I seen in USA 🇺🇸 …the clinics milk down all the insurance amount until your quota is reached …. You goto a small checkup for kid and they scare you for lot of things ADHD ASD spectrum and refer to speech therapy behavior therapy occupational therapy even though you know that kid is perfectly normal in Indian sense. I think doctors make sure every one is making money and not sitting ideally and just milk the insurance company.
As began watching her story thought it end up positive note with all is well but so sad and went in tears at end🙏 May god give lot of strength to Sahithi!
I agree on one thing for sure. Doctor appointments are pure BS in the US, there's always wait time for a population which is 1/3 of india with so high class facilities and yet cannot get an appointment. This is the major irritating part for me in the US
And it’s just 15 min and they make huge amounts of money by cheating on their documentation by putting some billing code. They are more interested in documentation and defensive medicine than talking to you as a patient! We wait for 20-30 mins for them and get they hardly spend 15 on us!
@@L20241the doctor is only an employee, the hospital gets the money. Doctors appointments are only 20 minutes, if they spend more time with patients they are written up. Not an efficient system.

When working deduct 30-40 thousand per year from paycheck for malpractice insurance. Pass a board exam every 5 years. Compared to this misery techies are well placed with a 4 year degree and pay of 100 -150 k . Have you seen any 23 year old doctor in USA ??
I’m so sorry for the nightmare you have been through my friend. Your story hit too close to home for me. This past year of mine was completely upended thanks to an ear related problem. I saw the worst of the medical system here and eventually turned to alternative medicine which saved me. The healthcare system in the US was very different before the affordable care act. And then Covid added to a bad thing and made it worse. I became a us citizen in 2021 and assumed that life was set after a decade of immigration related ups and downs. After this illness though my husband and I were spooked. We are preparing our condo for sale right now. Life is unpredictable. It’s better to be around loved ones esp. family when you’re suffering. I wish you the best Sahithi. Thank you for your courage to speak up. You are brave and your kids are lucky to have you. Thank you for this interview Desi Return.
Thanks for sharing your experience. Glad to know that you are doing well!! Yes Sahithi is brave and courages to talk this publicly (all her intent is to help others who might be in a similar situation). Please note that there will be second part in few days.

Very heart breaking story you should have flown back to india. May almighty give you strength to bear this great loss. My daughter is settled in uk son in Denmark It is scary. India has best of best doctors.
What a heartbreaking trauma for the whole family! Brave of you Sahithi to speak up and do this video and bring awareness to others. Your late husband sounds like a genuinely responsible and family loving man who tried his best to protect you while suffering through his own health issues... and also not bother friends and acquaintances. I can't imagine how much stress he must've been under for those couple of years ... the upcoming baby, the baby's health issues, then fear of losing his hearing, then his vision, eventually his job and his American dream. He must've been so worried about the family. 😢 No one should have to face this.
Despite all this youngsters from India are still flying abroad to pursue dreams. There is no logic or rationale. Hamara Bharat Mahan. It is heaven here in India.
But the grass is always greener on the other side. Most Indians are not only ambitious , but extremely greedy. Currently they want more and more and more of everything. Actually USA is really good for people who like research , study , inventions , path breaking innovations , etc Not for our cheap labour engineers , software guys , etc. But most people ( or their parents) want to go to US to impress others , make others jealous , etc .But it happens in young age. Each one with own destiny 🎉
This is so disturbing and heart touching😢 So sorry for the loss of a young life due to sheer negligence of healthcare system in the US…… hope she finds the strength to live life raising her kids alone with memories of her dear husband….🙏
True, not only doctors, none in USA works 24/7.We Indians rather work like mad even in USA..I always wonder despite having the dedicated professionals in India, we lack infrastructure and opportunities in India and are compelled to come here
I was deeply moved and heartbroken to hear about your husband's suffering due to the inadequate care he received at the hospital. It's incredibly distressing when those we care about aren't given the attention and care they deserve. I can relate to your experience. Earlier this month, on August 8th, I had to undergo an unexpected PCNL surgery. I arrived at the ER at 4 AM, only to be told that my condition wasn't serious enough to warrant immediate surgery. I ended up waiting two days for the procedure while being sedated for pain. I can't help but feel that I might have received better care if I were in India, although I could be wrong. Many people say that the healthcare system here is highly advanced, but my experience has made me think otherwise. Even now, as I'm still recovering, it's been a nightmare trying to schedule follow-up appointments with specialists and hospitals.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts and experience. Accessibility to the healthcare is the key difference. I hope you recover faster and all will be well soon!!
@@buddinglearner1133 they scare us saying after care in India is not good! I found ICU stay here was pretty bad in America! Indian doctors have experience that no other country can match! We just have to pay for post operative care! In the US also doctors are good, specially the Indian doctors but ICU stay is lacking in care! Also everything in America is run by insurance companies!
I visited the US on a visit visa, and what I observed is that getting a special appointment is very difficult. By that time, most of the problems are solved by our body itself. I don't like the US healthcare system.
I left American dream 12 years ago and came back after being in USA for 6-7 years. I faced multiple issues in career, personal, health wise in India too but I am still happier than when I was in USA. My family support system is so strong that it would have been difficult to face it all alone in USA.

I can relate what she may be going through entire journey. In US there are wait times everywhere whether it’s annual check up, urgent care or even ER. Once we achieve our goals should return back. Sahithi- you did really good by coming back. May god give you strength to take care of kids single handedly. Be Strong.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts. In the next part you will realize Sahithi’s resilience and think of all options to make Srikantha dream true before deciding to move back.
Sorry for your loss, sister. You are so brave and strong. Life in US or in a foreign is good as long as you are healthy , working and paying taxes, paying insurance companies. Once you are sick, life is like hell. US health care system is short of doctors and nurses and specialists. In fact, corporate hospitals in India are even worst. At least in the US, there is an accountability. But in India, unless you have power or money, nothing moves. Family support in India is great. It's very unfortunate. Sorry for your loss. I hope kids will grow up well and support you. God bless you, sister .We pray God to give you great strength and a bright future.
Sorry for your loss. We have seen & experienced similar situations. Small health issues are turned in to life threatening situations if we are not careful. Not sure because of negligence or ineffective medical system or lack of experience or lack of compassion. Medical is very expensive & when we are sick, we need to take a long break from work to rest & take decisions. If we take break can’t pay expensive bills. No domestic or kids help. When health is fine & work is there…. then everything will be fun but small issues can turn our lives upside down. So we also returned back.
I'm in tears as I listened to her. I wish you'd sued the hospital for medical negligence, to get justice so this cycle doesn't repeat. Hospital wasn't responsible enough.
Will you sue an indian hospital if something happens like this ? Just coz it's US sue sue . Every hospital in india has medical negligence. None is cancelled.
for anyone in US -> 1) visit primary care when you have some symptoms and do not delay. If you don't get appointment right away and you have some health issue, go to ER, at ER they have to treat your problem 2) have proper life insurance 3) write a will/living trust

The way you explained your story without a tear is so inspired You are so brave dear and your kids are lucky to have a strong mother like you i wish you and your kids have a great life
I am so sorry for what happened to Sahithi. My mom got benign tumor too when she was 53 years old. We got to know about this when she had fits(seizure) and visited a general doctor, and he suggested for an MRI for safe side (so lucky he said so). She went for MRI and found out about this benign tumor (size of a marble). We consulted couple of doctors in Hyderabad, India and also a friend of mine who is a Surgeon too. With in 2-3 days we went for surgery and then after 3 weeks followed by radiation for 6 weeks i guess, and then followed by oral chemo for 6 months. With in 4 months post surgery she started working again (works as Maths teacher). Luckily we have Insurance in India we pay 18K for both my parents per year. It covered 90% of the total healthcare cost. Out of pocket was ~1L. My mom is 60 and still working. I personally feel India is better place for faster treatment and to get multiple opinions in lesser time. Also India have better health Insurances. But i believe US health care system is worst from my personal experience and from stories i hear from my friends.
If you have sudden vision/hearing problems- please get to a doctor ASAP. For tumers on head- ear, eyes, mouth... get them operated ASAP. Anytime any tumor touches the brain - it can be as worse as it could get. So sorry to hear this story.
Yes true. I got bad ear infection. I had to get admitted in the hospital for high dose antibiotics thru IV. My ENT doctor said if u will delay in treatment it will get inside the brain and will become life threatening.
Myself and my wife went to USA bay area on visitor visa and took insurance for 4 months and paid 2.25 lacs. When my wife required ultrasound of breast, we had to struggle and paid about Rs. 40000 for one ultrasound there. This costs just Rs. 1500 in India. Then we had to struggle to meet a doctor. For 3-4 weeks. Ultimately took video consultation from India. Even citizens don't get medical services so easily.
Very sorry for your loss! Very sad to hear how this case was handled. Sadly, medicine, religion, education have all become businesses only with an eye on profit alone. In my personal opinion, it is who you know. I lost my parents in India at famous hospitals in new delhi and to this date, unable to forgive myself for believing doctors. For those who feel India is better, I say living here we can comment on greener grass on the other side! We may be more comfortable with our own culture in India and so feel that way, perhaps! My MIL on the other hand, received VIP treatment in India because my BIL was in the hospital Board!! Regardless, You cannot enter a hospital without money given upfront! And every doctor loves surgery as it brings a lot of money for the hospital! Praying for strength for you and your family!
Thanks to Sahithi for sharing her experience while in USA. I have lost my wife, who was healthy, when she underwent a simple head surgery in the US. .Doctors are stressed in the US hospital system. They have to meet certain number of cases as a part of their productivity requirement, otherwise they will get fired. Many places there are doctors shortage and now they are filling these positions with NP'S and PA's. These are middle level providers. Their delivery of quality care is questionable. They have not gone through an intense training like doctors. As she mentioned we have many choices in India for health care. I am sure day by day the healthcare system in India is improving. Here there are many restrictions due to insurance requirement. Hope her story will inspire many people to be careful while seeking healthcare.

Really sorry for your loss Sahithi. Hope you and your kids find the strength to overcome this challenge. You have all the reasons to be spiteful of the doctors and the medical staff attending your husband. I have been living in US for past 40 years. While listening to you i realized how important it is for new immigrants to be aware of the Healthcare regulations, limitations, and the various benefits it offers. US has very robust legal system. If you believe that your husband is a victim of a negligence then you should pursue a legal option. Take care and good luck!!

Very sorry to hear their story. I came to US 3 years ago on H1, getting an appointment itself is a big thing here, if it's India I could go barefoot. I kept a timeline of 1 Month, if my problem won't get resolved, I planned to visit India for treatment. In parallel I was taking India doctor opinion via Practo app. After I spent $5000 doctors confirmed I don't have any problem except piles stage 1. I joined yoga from India and now I am back to normal. I decided my retirement place is India. US is only to earn money but not for a comfortable/Healthy stay.
I had tears listening to Sahiti. That’s too bad that you had to go through this journey. US is wonderful if everything is going well otherwise it’s a hell. Take care and ❤to your kids.
I’m in Australia, Iam seeing same issue, when Indian immigrant goes to hospital even with full insurance they are forcing us to wait for 4-6 hours during emergency, they will see only if it’s life threatening it’s not as easy as back in India
I was hoping to hear till the end that he finally did well. But he died . 😭 😭. Indian hospitals are no better . My uncle had surgery for same thing in Bangalore and was paralyzed on one side. After 3 months of physical therapy he started walking and driving. One side is still weak and small part of the tumor is still left behind. He says he will leave it like that. Too scared to go for another surgery. He is also deaf in one ear after surgery 😭
U should see my messages as I watched the video . I type as I go along . And I noticed quite often hosts interrupt the speaker and it’s pretty annoying , hence I wrote that .
My daunted had complications when she was born in NJ. She got good care and surgery for mandible distraction. She was in hospital for 3 months after birth. We didn’t pay any money. All bill was covered by insurance as we had 100% coverage . Every one took care of her. I agree specialist doctor appointments are hard to get and take couple months. These type of cases happens every where. We were thinking if our daughter was born in India , she would not have survived. Because negligence is also there even in India . One of our friend died in Bangalore, after some stomach infection, ventilator was not kept properly.
You are wrong. It is not in USA only, every where in western countries there is the lack of immediate medical facilities in the time of urgency. What happened in USA during COVID-19 is everybody's knowledge. USA has the highest fatalities out of COVID-19 outbreak. It just exposed the USA's healthcare system which was in perfect shambles. You should not forget that India has 1.5 billion people to take care of but India has the world's best medical care facilities and the doctors are the best in the entire world. I have visited USA and what I have seen that everything about USA is much hyped and lacks the ground reality.😊
Yeah I agree . I hate health care system here in US.. I came across many situation like this. As long as your healthy US is better place . The moment we see big health issues so much to suffer here. Personally and financially too. No emotional support you would get. I feel India is far better for immediate care doctor’s availability. Sorry about your loss. I can feel that pain😢 takecare children’s . Be bold as you look now . Took good decision Going back to India at least little mental peace you would get .
Srikanth seems to be a perfect guy always proactive and did everything he could to take control of his health and life but looks like unfortunately God had different plans. praying for Sahithi and kids.
I am a US citizen living in Bangalore and have seen the healthcare system in both countries. Idk about the rest of india, South india has top medical colleges, very good doctors and fantastic hospital infrastructure with great hospitals now. I was at Fortis, Bangalore today and the convenience of getting all the blood work done, meeting a specialist Ortho doctor, xrays was a giffy. Yes you need money for all of this but you get the best healthcare. And many were saying which American white goes to India, there were many white faces visible in Fortis today. They were speaking French and other European languages. So today, good hospitals are abundant in Bangalore and getting treatment under a specialist care is easy but may not be so affordable. If you have money, Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad amd Kerala have very good hospitals and doctors. After hearing your story, the entire system was negligent and due to their negligence you have lost your husband unfortunately.
I can understand what trauma Sahithi beta could have undergone. She is explaining every small incident in such details that I can understand the severity of the suffering she underwent. God be with her 🙏 in her marathon struggle, in bringing her kids up. God bless you Sahithi.East or West India is best.
This lady is so strong ❤ I am sitting here and in tears 😢 God give her all strength and her kids I am short of words.. healthcare is sh*t here also in the UK
the hospital system is broken everywhere, even in India. I had a very similar experience where I lost my mother due to hospital incompetence. After wrapping up my career in a few years, I am going to devote my time creating a better hospital system for everyone.
Yes there is no good system anywhere and requires close attention and multiple follow-ups. Good luck with your initiative and let us know if there is anything we can help with.
Very sorry about your husband and the loss of your beloved. You have been a strong wife for his treatment specially with two young kids and no family support. May you find peace and comfort in yourself and your husband have eternal peace . Om Shanti🙏🌹❤

No matter what one says. I am blessed 😇 to be in Canada 🇨🇦 and hospital 🏥 and clinic are blessing here ., 🧿.
I am so sorry to hear about your loss and you went through a lot
Working in the US and hospital system I know sometimes appointments we have to wait for longer time
But anything can happen to anyone
My brother in India drove to hospital due to cough and chest discomfort to a local hospital in Ernakulam and transferred to a well known hospital stayed over a month spend 25-30 lakhs and
He is no more
Originally they said viral pneumonia then they said bacterial pneumonia
On the other hand my cousin came to US as a newly married couple
6 months after he got married diagnosed with cancer
Started treatment in India during that time they got the Visa and came to US
He was able to get treatment without any insurance back in 2007
Then his wife use to say things are much easier here than in India
He is no more either
What I am trying to say is complications can happen anywhere
My heart goes out for you

Why you are in USA go back to to India
When are you going to buy one way ticket to India 🤔
Canada is not even comparable to the US. The MRI would’ve taken 10 months there.
Why don't you?
I’ll chime in because many of my relatives are doctors in America. The reason why there’s a shortage of doctors in America is because the doctors association of America ensures that there’s only a limited amount of medical school seats so that they can keep their fees high. Low supply of doctors + high demand from the general public for healthcare means doctors make $$$$$. The solution is simply to increase the number of seats in medical school, but the doctors association won’t allow that because it will dilute their pay.
Thanks for sharing a different insight and hopefully we need to address health things before they become serious. Here lives on line.
I’m sorry to say that you are misinformed. Speaking this as a practicing physician in USA.

My daughter was almost 18 months and didn’t uttered a word and also not responding to Her name and not able to do any motor skills.

Thank you very much for your best wishes
Doctor in India works 24/7 if required. US doctors do not work single minute after their shift.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts
we need a balance but India is the best usa is collapsed greedy mess.
They work just like here but not transparent & very expensive. Medical in India is good & doctors are experienced & have empathy.
@@sbolla2099 doctors in India use their experience and common sense to treat patients. In US they all depend on machinery.
W
I visited the US on a visit visa, and what I observed is that getting a special appointment is very difficult. By that time, most of the problems are solved by our body itself.
I don't like the US healthcare system.
Thanks for sharing your experience
Try the UK health system to compare then
I left American dream 12 years ago and came back after being in USA for 6-7 years. I faced multiple issues in career, personal, health wise in India too but I am still happier than when I was in USA. My family support system is so strong that it would have been difficult to face it all alone in USA.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts
So u finished ur H1B and got kicked out. now blabbering 😂. Anyway I agree US sucks in health care.
@@gnanasekarthiyagarajan7680 you are so judgemental as if being in USA and h1b and GC is highest thing to achieve. Good luck in your life. May God present to you h1b and GC and other circumstances in your life which will give you some perspective in life.

What kind of a pervert you are? How can you utter such words in a situation like this?
I can relate what she may be going through entire journey. In US there are wait times everywhere whether it’s annual check up, urgent care or even ER. Once we achieve our goals should return back.
Sahithi- you did really good by coming back. May god give you strength to take care of kids single handedly. Be Strong.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts. In the next part you will realize Sahithi’s resilience and think of all options to make Srikantha dream true before deciding to move back.
Extremely sad story, very heart-wrenching. I'm so sorry for her loss! More power to Ms. Sahithi 😢
I feel sorry for your loss and the pain you have endured. You are a strong soul, and I pray to God to give you strength and peace.
Thankyou
Thank you!
Thank you for sharing your experiences and well said
I'm in tears as I listened to her. I wish you'd sued the hospital for medical negligence, to get justice so this cycle doesn't repeat. Hospital wasn't responsible enough.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts
Will you sue an indian hospital if something happens like this ? Just coz it's US sue sue . Every hospital in india has medical negligence. None is cancelled.
Why in india we have consumer court @AshishOnline
Sueing is another nightmare. Better to avoid it.
@@bernadettemel2053 Yes you need to fight for 100 years to get Justice in India
for anyone in US -> 1) visit primary care when you have some symptoms and do not delay. If you don't get appointment right away and you have some health issue, go to ER, at ER they have to treat your problem 2) have proper life insurance 3) write a will/living trust
Important reminders and good info
Sahiti’s story is extremely sad. I wish there is something I could say or do to bring Sahiti’s husband back. Unfortunately, there is nothing I can say or do to bring her husband back.

Thanks for sharing your experience
If you have sudden vision/hearing problems- please get to a doctor ASAP. For tumers on head- ear, eyes, mouth... get them operated ASAP. Anytime any tumor touches the brain - it can be as worse as it could get.
So sorry to hear this story.
Yes important point. Thanks for sharing your thoughts
They were trying but not getting timely appointments.
Yes true. I got bad ear infection. I had to get admitted in the hospital for high dose antibiotics thru IV. My ENT doctor said if u will delay in treatment it will get inside the brain and will become life threatening.
Wish you guys had come to india much earlier ..just like as Ayurveda doctors told but hats off to you…went through alot!! God bless you!!
Thanks for your wishes and thoughts
Myself and my wife went to USA bay area on visitor visa and took insurance for 4 months and paid 2.25 lacs. When my wife required ultrasound of breast, we had to struggle and paid about Rs. 40000 for one ultrasound there. This costs just Rs. 1500 in India. Then we had to struggle to meet a doctor. For 3-4 weeks. Ultimately took video consultation from India. Even citizens don't get medical services so easily.
Thanks for sharing your experience
You are a strong mom n good soul...Jagannathji is there with us to help us n heal us
🙏
I got stunned but I had same experience in U S for my joint pain so I came to India and got treated . They had given me appointment after 4 months
Thanks for sharing your experiences
Thanks
Take care of your kids and yourself Sahiti. Ur a strong lady🙏
Thanks
Sorry for your loss🥲Thanks for sharing your experience and thoughts

Thanks for sharing your experience. Gald to know everything is good now
Thanks for sharing. A wake-up call for everyone. It is not single instance, for the family that is affected - it is everything.

Sorry to hear that. Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this

Thanks for sharing your experiences. Its case to case.
@@shravani111-y9ABSOLUTELY RIGHT 👍🎉
Yeah I agree .

Thanks a lot.
Thank you for sharing your experience. Some true info about situation in India
