In comparison, Diantha's battle chamber is thematically so fitting for someone like Diantha, and it even has all eighteen types represented in the central circle. A chamber that feels equally more distributed to every single type is anyday better for me.
It’s not necessarily that people don’t like her, in the anime she’s great, they were just disappointed with how easy and how undeveloped she was in the games.
I transferred some of my old unova team members the ones I used in my first Pokémon adventure I found it nice to have my starter from that game So my team consisted of 1.Emboar 2.Greninja 3.Venusaur 4.Lucario 5.Brivary 6.Zoroark

This fight was much harder for me than it should ever be. Yes, i was 9 and had never played Pokémon before, but damn this battle was close. My starter and first ever Pokémon Delphox got down to 11 health against Diantha’s Gardevoir before managing to take it out, still easily one of my proudest achievements to this day. I actually recently replayed through Kalos on my Y version a couple years ago, with much more actual knowledge on the game and a far better team, and was able to sweep most of her team with an Aegislash. Sword boi OP in Kalos
Funny, I actually beat her a few days ago when I finally beat my Platinum version after having it for like 5 years or something. Even with a team of level 60 pokemon she was tough, that garchomp did the same amout of damage with a neutral earthquake than an ice punch did to it
Man, I'm sad that Mega Evolution is no longer a thing in the new gens. I still think that it is the best form of temporal evolution/power increase we ever got. It's by far the most fleshed out (in terms of in-world explanation) and also most badass of them all in my opinion. I still remember throwing my own Mega Gardevoir at Diantha's. Not because it was the best strategy, but because it was the coolest option to end this fight for the throne.
I’m glad I’m not the only one who misses mega evolutions. Tbh I’m tired of all of these new gimmicks when a super cool gimmick is already at our disposal!
If you weren't experienced at Pokemon at the time then I don't blame you for struggling against Diantha, her team's hardly bad and she has a pretty decent and varied team, with a screens setter, a fast sweeper, a tank, and some heard hitters especially her Gardevoir. In all fairness Pokemon once you're experienced as a whole is easy, none of the Champions are really *that* hard even to an experienced player and if you manage to build up the proper team (of the best Pokemon) and movesets for each game it'll be an easy ride regardless.
*QOTD:* I still love the fact to this day... that my Level 68 *_Furfrou_* beat Diantha's Mega Gardevoir with 2 Headbutts. Furfrou is a _tremendously_ underrated Pokémon!...
The games where fun but if the exp share didnt exist or if it worked similar to the one in sword and shield one the games i think X and Y wouldn't be as hated as they are

I never played x and y before, but i just want to say that the battle intro (the music and the atmosphere) is perfect I think i've watched this more than 10x times in a week, it's just so good
7:40 That moment gave me chills. I played Pokemon X when I was 9 and Me and Diantha were down to our last pokemon. I sent out my Delphox and needed to land a few more hits but Gardevoir was hitting my Delphox like a truck so I needed to heal and revive my Kadabra a few times to heal Delphox. (I can't trade cause of controls because my parents bought it for me) And Diantha got a critical hit ending my Delphox. That was legit the most heartbreaking loss for me...
Diantha may not be the hardest or most involved champion in pokemon, but y'all gotta admit she has the coolest looking league building, the coolest battle intro, the best theme for a champion (maybe behind kieran) and the most satisfying victrory jingle.

Diantha's Hawlucha & Steven's Skarmory have the dual typed Flying Type Diantha's Tyrantrum & Steven's Armaldo are fossils that is Physical Attacker Diantha's Aurorus & Steven's Cradily are fossils are Special Attacker Diantha's Gourgeist & Steven's Claydol are weird looking and bulky Diantha's Goodra & Steven's Aggron are 3 evolution line dinosaur looking ones, with bulky and versatile moveset ---It should be Metagross for the pseudolegendary but--- Diantha's Gardevoir & Steven's Metagross are both dual typed Psychic typed pokemon, Gardevoir is Special Attacker and Metagross is Physical Thank You for reading!

I remember going into this fight incredibly unprepared. Most my pokemon were under levelled, I didn’t have the right types, I was a goner. I made it through all her pokemon and she went through mine. All that was left was her mega gardevoir and my level 30 bee drill. I gave up at that point and just decided to attack with poison sting. SOMEHOW, IT ONE SHOT THE GARDEVOIR AND I WON.
When I fought Diantha my team was: • Blastoise ( level 79) • Delphox ( level 71) • Sylveon ( level 73) • Raichu ( level 70) • Pidgeot ( level 70) • Lucario ( level 69) Yea, the fight was sorta challenging but very underwhelming for the first ever Pokémon game I’ve played.

Every time I hear Diantha's theme, I remember the tough fight I had with her, but when I hear Alder's battle theme I don't even remember hearing it. Odd considering BW was my first Pokemon game, and not Gen 6? I know I beat BW but I don't remember any of it...
Sadly it's about the experience stuff and overall weak pokemon. I literally did a romhack challenge for an ealier generation for my friend's birthday and he took a LOT of full restores to just get past some heavy well equiped pokemon. I wish game freak really try to step up their games, at least give the trainers actual strategies based on their personalities or type.
There are two reasons this battle is that easy: The exp share, and the fact that her team shares so much weaknesses, i would have gave her instead of hawlucha, aurorus and tyrantrum Pangoro, Klefki/Mawile and Rhyperior.
I don't personally think that Diantha was the easiest champion of them all, Lance was in my opinion because you could just sweep his team with an alakazam knowing the punching moves, with Diantha you'll have to think about type matchups and if you didn't got the use of megas and an overpowered exp share she maybe would be harder to battle.
I don't know how that's gonna work in heart gold soul silver. But GSC yeah Alakazam can sweep. The first time I battled Lance I actually had a fun time I actually swept him with ampharos and Mamoswine.

While this was the first pokemon game i ever played i only remember using two of my favourite pokemon (They were hella over leveled for some reason idk) chandelure and doublade.

Im pretty sure im the only kid who had trouble with the entire league in kalos. I lost like 3 times, i was 7-8 years old at the time and it was hell. My team was balanced but i still lost due to my party being underleveled.
I wish diantha was stronger, then she would’ve gained more recognition! The battle theme slaps, she has Gardevoir, one of my favourite pokemon, Gen 6 is my favourite Gen of Pokémon, Maybe there will be a Gen 6 remake, maybe Pokémon Z? Maybe if that happens, she’ll get stronger
I completely deactivate the exp share during the adventure in X in order to be under levelled than Diantha. I can witness her battle is really more challenging
I think Steven, Diantha and Kukui are my favriotes. And then my least favriotes are Cyntha, Alder, and Lance. I never got to play x and y because my 3ds broke and I'm stuck playing my least favriote game Pokemon platinum. I wish I could challenge Diantha one day
This was my first pokemon game too. I didnt know you could heal your pokemon in battle so i foughtthe elite four and champion without healing. I had a hard time😅 This is definetly my favourite gen. Greninja was my first pokemon😊

That's because Beedrill actually had a pretty not bad looking base attack stat, and Mega Gardevoirs physical defense is shit.
I wish they brought back some of the battle cinematics from X and Y, they were pretty neat.
5-0, shows how weak Diantha really is. Wish she was actually stronger, or if X and Y were actually difficult.
X and Y is an extremely easy game. Then again.. The newer games are always easier than the old ones for some reason. Usum was really easy too.

While this was the first pokemon game i ever played i only remember using two of my favourite pokemon (They were hella over leveled for some reason idk) chandelure and doublade.
I’ve now pre-ordered Pkmn Shield and no matter what people say about it I will like it because I’ve loved Pokémon...yeah pretty much my entire life actually

Im pretty sure im the only kid who had trouble with the entire league in kalos. I lost like 3 times, i was 7-8 years old at the time and it was hell. My team was balanced but i still lost due to my party being underleveled.

I think Steven, Diantha and Kukui are my favriotes. And then my least favriotes are Cyntha, Alder, and Lance. I never got to play x and y because my 3ds broke and I'm stuck playing my least favriote game Pokemon platinum. I wish I could challenge Diantha one day

This was my first pokemon game too. I didnt know you could heal your pokemon in battle so i foughtthe elite four and champion without healing. I had a hard time😅 This is definetly my favourite gen. Greninja was my first pokemon😊
