Man I really forgot how hard Johto gym leader music goes. As the region I spent the most time in (over 600 hours in Silver) this theme speaks to me. Also Galar just hits so good always
I've played more HGSS than is probably normal and have rematched the leaders so many times, the theme going just as hard in this mix means a lot to me.

Man the Alolan Theme is amazing! Especially at 9:13 where it transitions from this super difficult battle to the players team picking up pace and winning.
fun fact: I'm playing through heartgold for the first time and oddly enough whitney was one of the easier gyms imo. all though I did have trouble with morty and chuck cuz underleveled and then bugsy cuz of his damn scyther

When gen 8 theme was about to end I was like “that was a cool medley”, but then you surprised me with the gen 5 last pokemon theme 😭😭😭 THAT WAS MAJESTIC!
See, this is why I love artists. I've been bopping my head for 14 minutes straight, feeling nostalgia towards the games music, and remembering the gym battles, loving the remix and the sounds with a dumb smile in my face. Noticing how much I remembered themes from games I haven't played much, and how much a love this music. Alola's theme "happy" part always makes me giggle, right after such a tense beggining. And I was so sad when I noticed the transition between Unova and Kalos, not playing the glorious last pokemon music, and so glad when, right after Galar's cheering, a detail I love so much about those games, right at the end, I hear that music that has made me so happy over the years, I started crying. Thank you so much.
The real chef kiss to these remixes is the attention to harmonies below the main melodies. Too many times have i heard remixes that are only the main melody and fall short so quickly. The time and effort is apparent. Great job friend!

The best parts of these themes is that when it starts, you just know you’re up against one of the strongest trainers of the region, and you better don’t forget it or you’ll be sorry. I love how this is then augmented by the Kahuna theme becoming very cheerful after the first melody, as if to tell you that battling, at its core, is supposed to be fun and thrilling. Then Galar shows us with its theme that Pokemon battling is a spectacle for others to enjoy and behold, and for an audience to be emersed in, hence the inclusion of cheering in the theme. I can’t wait to see what Scarlet and Violet give us.
This is just *chefs kiss* perfection! I love the transitions between gen 4 to 5 and gen 6 to 7, but my favourite part is how you did the cheers in the Galar part of the final pokemon theme. Great medley!

I am curious now lol My logic was that because the sound occurred right after the Gen 5 Final Pokemon theme, it also referenced the Low HP remix that Gen 5 introduced. I think it would've been hard to include the low hp theme as a whole in an epic such as this, so I thought you snuck it in there during your creative ending at 13:37 for style points.

Definitely one of the best medleys I've heard so far. Gym leader themes are always the best of any generation of Pokemon Games. These music always have a way hyping you up for the games greatest challenge.

that would be shorter, since Kanto and Johto's elite 4 just use the gym leader themes, Galar doesn't have an elite 4, and Sinnoh's is the gym leader theme in a higher key (and with an added electric guitar in the BDSP version).

Dear god, i never realized how intense Johto's Gym Leader theme was compared to the rest. Spent so much time playing and replaying Gold as a kid it isn't even funny. But somehow it just slips my mind how intense they made the gym leader music. Kalos comes a close second, but Johto just nailed the intensity xD
Yes intensity that's the word I was looking for. It really makes the Hoenn theme sound almost encouraging in comparison, if you get what I'm saying. It's a shame Johto was such a bad generation objectively (because it's my favourite after Hoenn), and that most of the gym leaders weren't nearly as challenging as they could have been (except Bugsy's Scyther screw that guy)

Concerning the songs themselves The fire dies down after Kalos but the first 5 gym battle themes.. peak pokemon music. It comes with the tonal shift from "Strap in this is a fight for your life" to "let's all hold hands and we're all just pals here"

Oh man, the nostalgia hits hard, I Just listened to it while commuting back from college and hearing this AWESOME mix... it made me feel really really happy, just remembering all the good times I had while playing Pokémon since I was a little child... I listen to this every Friday when driving home from work, the drive usually lasts exactly as long as this mix. Nothing beats stopping the car in your front yard right when the song ends in that legendary, triumphant tone.
I've only been a part of the pokemon community since gen 5, and even going through and playing all the old games isn't much, but I love the battle music a lot. This is amazing. This is my entire childhood all in one piece. Amazing work!
This is absolutely brilliant, I've never heard a more perfect medley before! Been playing pokemon since Red back in 1996 and played every single one of them, this was an incredible nostalgic bomb and I felt like crying at times. Outstanding work!
I grew up with Gen 5, and hearing the victory lies before you theme come in at the end nearly made me cry😭🖤🤍 Absolutely FANTASTIC work. You gave real tribute to EVERY theme and gave them all a chance to SHINE! (Also it made me really happy seeing the Kalos gym leader theme get some attention) The original X and Y definitely weren’t the BEST, but I’m sure they’ll make a comeback when they’re remade after black and white 🤘

Pokemon Blue was the first video game i ever played in my life at like 3 or 4 years old Hearing this small but significant part of my life play out before me fills me with so many thoughts & memories Makes me relive fighting everyone from Brock to Kukui and all the leaders, Elite 4, champions and more. A bit late but I would like to commend this excellent medley. I'm getting gen 5 flashbacks, my fav gen. I remember the intensity when the gym leader music plays and it syncs with the gym leaders movement, like after the music pauses for a second then burgh or elisa takes off their cover, like that gives me chills. The gym leader's final pokemon theme is so good, I remember my last pokemon got a crit on elisa's emolga and managed to kill it before she potioned. Also the galar part sounds like a church choir I would join.
Normally not a fan of gen 1 gyms music but this one had me boppin also gen 4s music always seemed a bit bland with regards to gym/e4 however you've fixed that as well your transitions are also top tier excellent work

I have been through all those regions except for Kalos and Alola. I discovered Kanto, Johto, and Hoenn when I was a child, and now I have just finished exploring Sinnoh and Galar, as an adult... This medley was a nice journey through all of that, thanks
While I'll admit that the overall story of Kalos wasn't particularly great, if you go through the game at a pretty decent pace, you'll run into your posse often and regularly. For me, it really gave a sense of travelling "with" my friends, even if they weren't always there. Like when you and some friends are taking separate vehicles to the same destination

This is really good! The only problem I can hear is the very loud bass or something in some of the songs. The Alola one is probably my favourite in this (or final Pokémon, I like how you incoperated galar and unova in one)

I listen to this every Friday when driving home from work, the drive usually lasts exactly as long as this mix. Nothing beats stopping the car in your front yard right when the song ends in that legendary, triumphant tone.

I've only been a part of the pokemon community since gen 5, and even going through and playing all the old games isn't much, but I love the battle music a lot. This is amazing. This is my entire childhood all in one piece. Amazing work!

This is absolutely brilliant, I've never heard a more perfect medley before! Been playing pokemon since Red back in 1996 and played every single one of them, this was an incredible nostalgic bomb and I felt like crying at times. Outstanding work!

Even though I haven’t played every generation of Pokémon (specifically have yet to play Kalos and Alola), you did such an awesome job composing this that I felt fully immersed in each respective generation. A bit late but I would like to commend this excellent medley. I'm getting gen 5 flashbacks, my fav gen. I remember the intensity when the gym leader music plays and it syncs with the gym leaders movement, like after the music pauses for a second then burgh or elisa takes off their cover, like that gives me chills. The gym leader's final pokemon theme is so good, I remember my last pokemon got a crit on elisa's emolga and managed to kill it before she potioned. Also the galar part sounds like a church choir I would join.

Normally not a fan of gen 1 gyms music but this one had me boppin also gen 4s music always seemed a bit bland with regards to gym/e4 however you've fixed that as well your transitions are also top tier excellent work
Listen to Unova's PWT version of the gen 4 Leader theme, It's a lot better.

I have been through all those regions except for Kalos and Alola. I discovered Kanto, Johto, and Hoenn when I was a child, and now I have just finished exploring Sinnoh and Galar, as an adult... This medley was a nice journey through all of that, thanks
Highly recommend checking out Alola. A lot of my favorite Pokemon, and definitely one of the top three storylines in Pokemon. (Base SM, not Ultra)
While I'll admit that the overall story of Kalos wasn't particularly great, if you go through the game at a pretty decent pace, you'll run into your posse often and regularly. For me, it really gave a sense of travelling "with" my friends, even if they weren't always there. Like when you and some friends are taking separate vehicles to the same destination

edit: goddamn the transitions on this are ducking insane especially that drop from hoenn to sinnoh JESUS CHRIST. also that smooth little trickle from kalos into the alola drum beat gave me MAD CHILLS that was so cool.
This is really good! The only problem I can hear is the very loud bass or something in some of the songs. The Alola one is probably my favourite in this (or final Pokémon, I like how you incoperated galar and unova in one)
