I thought i was the only who noticed! I remember playing Emerald and teaming up with Steven in Mossdeep when battling team Magma, and he threw the pokeball sideways which i thought was badass LOL
Because Steven was my favorite of the Pokémon Champions, when I challenged him in Omega Ruby, I wanted to make our battle memorable so I used every single member of my team against every one of his. My Manectric against his Skarmory, My Aggron against his Aggron, My Milotic against his Armaldo, My Froslass against his Cradily, My Salamance against his Claydol, And lastly my Mega Blaziken against his Mega Metagross. I know this might sound corny, but has never battling a Pokémon Champion been so much fun (at least for me).
KSound Kaiju I used Protect first turn so that Blaziken could get an increase to its speed from Speed Boost. Then I Flare Blitzed his Mega Metagross. It wasn’t enough to KO it, so I did suspect it was gonna take out Blaziken with Zen Headbutt or something. Fortunately, it used Giga Impact but missed. Which gave my Blaziken the chance to KO it next turn with another Flare Blitz.
Mine was gardevoir aggron sharpedo sceptile altaria and also a Linoone believe it or not linoone was one of my best Pokémon and everybody except Linoone had mega stones
So I was doing a play through with no items in battle, no experience share, and on set mode. I had a Sceptile, Gardevoir, Aggron, Tentacruel, and Zangoose at level only 45 - 50. You can probably guess that it was very difficult. I only got by with Rock Polish Earthquake Mega Aggron at level 50, though this meant that his Mega Metagross of all things was the easiest thing to handle.
My team I used was Blaziken, Mightyena, Frosslass, Aggron, Dustox, and Flygon but I had a team of 7 which consisted of ludicolo but I decided to go through the elite 4 without him but I enjoyed my team because my I breed my mightyena to have the egg move Play Rough and Ice Fang which I loved and it came in very handy :) Edit: I cant believe you used a plusle in your team I always wantes to use a minum or a plusle but I thought maybe they were too weak or their abilities made them only good for double battle but now i really want to use a plusle

REGULAR MEGA METAGROSS!!!!!!!!, a Latios which could Mega Evolve which was my first legendary in the game but obviously since that's the first legendary you get in the game, A Blastoise that could also Mega Evolve, and a Steelix which in the present now can Mega Evolve because i didn't know how to get it's Mega Stone and that is my OP Champion Team but the one's who gave me a hard time was Cradily and Armaldo BECAUSE STEVEN KEPT USING THE GOD DARN FULL RESTORES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!😡😡😡😡😡😡😡 but other than that Skarmory got one shotted and Claydol was also being mean to me BECAUSE OF STEVENS FULL RESTORES HE USED THEM 11 TIMES!!!!!!!🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 And Thats how i beat the Hoenn Champion Steven Stone and what team i used. BEST CHAMPION and idgas if u guys say that Leon's better cause hes not he was sooo easy to beat except his Dragapult and his Inteleon.

The fact that Gallade inexplicably shakes off being POISONED in order to not disappoint his trainer and that Sharpedo holds on with 1HP is such a disappointing mechanic. Well everyone in the comment talks about there team. My team was a bit different. See the first time I beat Steven in Omega ruby was during a cagelocke with my friend. My team ended up being Ninetales Gyrados Leafeon (gotten as a wonder trade for Latinos) Swellow Guardevior Mega Mawile.
I think the team I used was: Mesprit Torkoal Tropius Kabutops Ampharos(I think I had the mega stone too) And Groudon I think This was honestly the easiest champion battle I ever did, I think the only Pokémon that fainted on my team was either Mesprit or Torkoal. I think I used Torkoal for most of the battle.

@@ksoundkaiju9256 Don't knock it til you try it. I won't call it the easiest Pokémon to use ingame, but it can really come through against some of the tougher enemies. And I'll admit I had it even tougher in Ruby, using a Wynaut that I actually insisted on keeping unevolved just because it was cute, but I actually still have that Wynaut and I love it. Also, there's something very satisfying about taking out Norman's final Slaking by using the Truant turn to go for Destiny Bond while you still have your Nuzleaf ready to go so you don't black out.
@@cameronjohnson1576 That's how I got past Norman's first Slaking- Pelipper was packing Protect. But I was also a tad underleveled, so that only got me so far. Pelipper had gone down by the time I got to Norman's second Slaking.

That's the luckiest Gallade I've ever seen Managed to take out Steven's Mega Metagross with a Mightyena ten levels lower - I also didn't realize Steel had lost its Dark resistance, so I kept relying on Fire Fang instead of Crunch
Bro i got in this video after many years one time i remember challenging the league for the... i dont even know how many times i used rayquaza at level 100 to make it faster bro drake's salamence killed my rayquaza one hit clean without crit i literally asked myself what the fuck did just happened but then i won with kyogre (level 100 too) and got to steven and the same thing happened to my rayquaza but with his metagross and i was again like wtf did he just did that fr and then he almost ko'd my kyogre too and i was like did yall get nerfed or he just got a non existent buff all of this without crit so i did never understood how they did that by the way this were and still are my favorite games they are so cool the battles the musics and even the battle and events its so cool right now im playing again all the games from first gen (not in terms of game mechanic i play it based on the games like for first gen fire red and leaf green) i am at heartgold now and i didnt remember this to be this fun (apart from ridicoulus crit and some old mechanics like paralisis on electric pokemon😅😂)

I also think being able to swap after taking down a pokemon is a BS mechanic. It should work similarly to online battles.

played alpha sapphire and beat it on real hardware, did the same with omega ruby on an emulator. heres both teams. most of the pokemon are the same in both of them

Managed to take out Steven's Mega Metagross with a Mightyena ten levels lower - I also didn't realize Steel had lost its Dark resistance, so I kept relying on Fire Fang instead of Crunch

Bro i got in this video after many years one time i remember challenging the league for the... i dont even know how many times i used rayquaza at level 100 to make it faster bro drake's salamence killed my rayquaza one hit clean without crit i literally asked myself what the fuck did just happened but then i won with kyogre (level 100 too) and got to steven and the same thing happened to my rayquaza but with his metagross and i was again like wtf did he just did that fr and then he almost ko'd my kyogre too and i was like did yall get nerfed or he just got a non existent buff all of this without crit so i did never understood how they did that by the way this were and still are my favorite games they are so cool the battles the musics and even the battle and events its so cool right now im playing again all the games from first gen (not in terms of game mechanic i play it based on the games like for first gen fire red and leaf green) i am at heartgold now and i didnt remember this to be this fun (apart from ridicoulus crit and some old mechanics like paralisis on electric pokemon😅😂)
