Just got geforce now yesterday 🤯 Amazing! Connected it to my OLED 4k and getting 80-90fps on cyberpunk and 60-70fps in Wukong with maxed out settings. Less input lag than playing on my xbox in my living room and no frame drops. I’m sure I could make some minor tweaks and easily get 120 frames. Even played some overwatch just to check the ping and was doing fine (i do have solid internet, so this may be an issue if you don’t). Zero need to upgrade the laptop now. Amazing game experience. Try it for one month for $20! You’ll wonder why you didn’t do it sooner.

Because I get 8ms latency with GFN, with machine latency on their end so low, especially with nvidia reflex, take CoD MW3 I have 8ms Internet latency, 2ms VM-server latency and about 15- 20ms machine latency, vs xbox series x has between 60 and 90ms machine latency+input lag, I play so much better using GFN, as long as you don't use frame gen, I use extreme settings 4K with dlss set to quality I get 120fps stable, when I played campaign single player with frame gen and extreme settings was able to run it 4K DLAA 120fps, the key for me is my 7-10ms server latency, couldn't return to series x after playing like this 😊

@@zaofactor why buy a $400+ console when you pay $20 a month for access to this service that allows you to play a larger variety of games and not restrict you to a console platform.
@RyanManleyLive Because you are still restricted to the collection of games available on the service, otherwise you have to buy games, and then 20 bucks a month to play those games that you bought. If you have that service for 2 years, you have already paid the cost of a console, if not more. It's a cool product, but extremely niche. More of a tech demo that you pay for more than anything else.
You need insanely fast internet and even then, you cannot match the latency compared to native rendering. If you are the type of person who doesn't notice latency, sure, but I've tried it befoer and I feel like this type of gaming is simply for casuals who can't even tell the difference between 60hz and 144hz monitors lol.
It depends how far the data center is. The closest to me is about 120 km and the latency is 3 ms. Human reaction time is 250 ms. You can do the math lol. And it gives me the opportunity to play on 4080 instead of some potato that runs hot on medium setting hahaha.
@@alexforce9 I mean yeah. Rhe reaction time face is true, but you still notice the input lag, with your eyes, trough that you feel it with your movment (30+ms ping). @@fufu1405 nvidia reflex definitely mitigates this, I am used to playing 120fps on a local machine (cod on xbox series x) and I maintain my input lag, and general performance in a match is far superior on GFN, it showed the server latency of everyone in my lobby, where most were about 10-20ms, mine was just 2ms, obviously have to add my 8ms server latency (to GFN data centre) but this is still just 10ms latency

@fufu1405 absolutely, I was comparing console to GFN, a native 4080 would obviously outperform GFN ultimate, but it also costs silly money to build an equivalent PC, you are liable if it breaks, and it does not automatically upgrade when next gen comes out, the 50 series will be out in months, a few months after that nvidia will roll out GFN 5080, like they did with 3080-4080, GFN is not perfect, I hate the compression artifacts and sometimes blurry vegetation in some games, as adults I think we can agree this is not black and white, there are grey areas for both points of view, for me the fact I can play cyberpunk on highest settings, RT psycho at 120fps with DLSS 3.7 on performance, or I can play witcher 3 maxed out DLSS Quality 90fps, Ghost recon breakpoint, ultimate preset 4K native 100fps, CoD MW3 dlss quality, extreme settings, FG off at 120fps, and so many more game that I love for £20 a month, if they doubled the price I will still pay, because value for money is 100% there for me...
More of a tech demo that you pay for more than anything else.
amd cards are really good nowadays, i get a constant 60 fps on ultra ray tracing with fsr 3 no frame generation on my 7900 xt
The reaction from eyes to brain to hand movment is 250ms add the 30+ ping to it and it is easy to notice. Dont get me wrong, I love GeForce Now. I get 7-9ms ping in my locatio. If i dont concentrate on the input lag i dont notice it, and im pretty sure the noticingi itself is mostly placebo.
@@Jamie-z3u That's great to hear, but you're comparing console to PC and PC will always win. I'm trying to say that if I already am on PC, I will 100% have increased input lag. But I'm glad this exists for people who don't have a PC.
I get it is different for others, depending on their tastes in games, even their hardware to run GFN and especially their Internet stability, I do hate those compression artifacts soo much ut it is a price I am willing to pay 😊
boosteriod is good too
I’ve only looked into them a bit recently because they carry a few games that GeForce now doesn’t. I’ll have to dig into them some more though!
@@RyanManleyLive yeah boosteroid game collection is 10x better
@@ChrisTheCasual need the technology infrastructure of GeForce Now with the game collection of Boosteroid lol
@@RyanManleyLive i know we do
you don't need to own a PC??
no
Nah will always prefer to own my hardware. Gonna be the same as with the various other steaming services as they increase these rates as soon as thy reached a certain marketshare
possibly. but they have only had one price increase since 2017 and have maintained a free tier so until they change it otherwise i support the current business model and pricing
You have not tried for sure then
