To further clarify, Olaplex states for No.6 Bond Smoother to use on towel dried hair before styling, but I prefer to use it on dry hair on day 3 to add back some shine and hydration :) I just found it too heavy on my hair (even at the smallest amount) when I was blow drying and styling :) What's your favorite Olaplex product? :)
I use the #3, mixed with Briogeo Leave in Rosarco Spray right onto rung out hair and then I out on an Aquis , wrap hair up and chill, 20-30 m later I comb out and apply oil ( Davines Oi oil)
I prefer using a clarifying shampoo to remove the products that were on my hair prior to using the No. 3. I leave it in my hair while I shower and then rinse and use No. 4 & 5.
I purchased Olaplex #6 and #7 and love the products on my thick wavy hair. I mix the 6 and 7 together sometimes to hydrate the ends on damp hair. #7 is nice to apply on the ends of my hair when dry to tame frizz. I purchased it because my hairdresser recommended it. Thank you for showing the other Olaplex products!
Olaplex really is worth the money, I've never used the entire line at once. I go between the Olaplex shampoo and conditioner and #3 and the Briogeo Scalp Revival line. When I use the #3 treatment I use it after I wash lol and I put it mid shaft and down but I also use the Briogeo SR scalp treatment at the same time on my scalp and roots (lazy girl trying to kill 2birds ya know 😄) I rinse them out then condition my hair. This process works for me, and I have seen a big change in my hair and scalp health. I stopped dyeing my hair and do not use heat on on it anymore either so that probably helps as well, but I do have dry scalp and very long hair that needed repair especially for my hideous split ends. I love Briogeo leave in conditioners they all work so well but, I think Olaplex shampoo is the best I love how little I have to use in comparison and that rich lather is awesome! I am using the Quai hair oil atm lol I'm just all over the place with my hair stuff 😊 like I said I really just need to/want to get the entire Olaplex line and go in. Thanks for the tips Jenna, I think I'll most definitely try them out❣️
Love this video!!! I LOVE Olaplex products and they have made the biggest improvement in my coarse, curly, color-treated, and heat tool loving hair. I started using Olaplex at my salon. I get my hair highlighted every 6 weeks and my stylist applies the professional version of #3 during the coloring process.Gamechanger!!! I use all the products 0-8. 0 goes on dry hair then I apply #3 and let that sit for an hour or more before shampoo and conditioner. Since I apply the #0, I don’t have to wet my hair prior to #3 but I used to just wet my hair in the sink and apply the #3. Great tip on using shampoo/conditioner, so I will try that next. After shampoo/conditioner, I use the #6 and #7 to blow dry my hair. Like you, I use the #6 midweek on dry hair to freshen up. I haven’t tried #8 yet but I’m very excited to try it!!
I own all of the products except for the new purple shampoo 4a that came out since my hair isn’t bleached. I have virgin hair. My favorite product for sure is the cult favorite 3, but I love the shampoo, conditioner and 7 which is the bonding oil. It works well as a heat protectant or oil to put on post washing hair. I am on a journey to grow out my hair. it’s currently shoulder length. I’m hoping with using olaplex I can get away with not trimming my hair for 6-9 months.
I actually did buy the shampoo and conditioner a while ago and thought it was meh, but I love the no.3! So I will definitely have to retry with these tips!
Aha! Now I know how to use these little mysterious bottles. I have very thick, curly, just past my shoulders length hair. And it's super dry ☹. I don't use any heat on it, preferring to air dry it. So, I buy varied bottles of this stuff (this was months ago) and I haven't touched them as I wasn't 100% sure as to how to use them. Because they're small they can look underwhelming and intimidating at the same time. Thank you for giving the confidence to give these little fellas a good go. 👍💞💞
This video was brilliant! Thank you so much! I have bought the Olaplex shampoo and conditioner and it has changed my hair and my life. You only need a little on the hair and the conditioner helps frizz too.
I wet my hair in the sink then towel dry then add the number 3 to my mids and ends then a few hours later whenever I’m ready to shower I shampoo my hair and use a hair mask in the shower. I love the pureology shampoo and hair mask a little more than olaplaex but the number 3 is a game changer.
The way I use number 3 since I go to a salon to do my hair nearby I wet my hair towel dry and put in the number 3 by the time I get to the salon it's already penetrated deep into my hair and I just wash it out and use 4 5 and 6 then they do rollers and I get underneath the hair dryer. My hair is very long and color treated. I love what the olaplex products i have done for my hair.
@@imawakemymindisalive13 yes i do i go once a week because my hair is long and i cant do rollers on myself because i have limited shoulder use on my right side which is my dominant side.i maintain it straight by wrapping it in a tubi which is a hair style you do with bobby pins by wrapping your hair around your head putting on a fishnet hat and taking out the bobby pins once the hat is on.
In ny especially in the bx its real cheap i get my hair washed and put in rollers then they put me in the hair dryer and my hair wrapped for 25 bucks i go after work.
This is so helpful! Thank you :) When you use the #6 and sleep on it, do you usually leave your hair down or do you put it up? Thanks to this pandemic, I have the longest hair I have ever had in my life and never know what to do with it when I sleep, especially if I put a product on it before bed.
I use #3 before shampooing. I really messed up my long hair by leaving a perm solution on too long and had to cut 5 inches off. That sucked :-( So the damage on the remaining bob haircut I was forced to adopt was/is intense. I run my hair under the sink, add #3, wrap in a towel, leave in 10 minutes, then add the product in the elongated bottle, #0 I believe. I re-wrap my hair drenched with both #3 and with #0 (the elongated bottle with spout) and leave the combo in for 10 minutes more while hair wrapped in a towel. Then I jump in shower and rinse both #0 and #3 out, then wash with the shampoo and conditioner.
That’s a perfect way to do it! I have so much product build up I wouldn’t want to waste it not actually penetrating as much as possible, but if I didn’t have that buildup that’s a much better way of using it on unwashed hair :)
Thank you for the great information on Olaplex. Love your videos because they are fun, lighthearted, and enjoyable. You are my favorite makeup influencer.
Oh, I have been looking for advice on Olaplex. How fun that it's from you who I already trust! I think I subscribed just after this one so I missed it.
Thank you very much for this vid. Perfect timing for me. I want to try it out at home since I have the Olaplex treatment every time I dye my hair at salon.
Ahhh amazing!! It’s my understanding the salons have a more intense version, to only be used for salon professionals. :) the at home version is still amazing in my opinion!
I had just noticed a couple weeks ago the same thing with the shampoo. What a difference adding some water and rubbing in my hands made. Unfortunately I didn’t think to try it with the conditioner so I will try it next wash. Thank you get video.
Thanks for this. I was using the shampoo wrong. I am not a fan of the oil. I have shorter hair than you and I feel I need more than 3 drops. I am not noticing anything with the oil. I do love the conditioner. I am interested in you comparing the Briogeo don’t despair repair mask to the Olaplex mask.
I was thinking of trying at least the #3 if not more. I was having issues with hair loss due to health challenges and the stress that goes with it. It is not falling out as much now but I would like to bring health back in my hair to grow in the places it's noticeable (obviously want it on my whole head but I just mean I'm trying to get it to grow back lol) but since they are pricey products, I was just curious if you (or anyone who sees this and might know) think it is worth trying for that?! Your hair is beautiful!
Jena I wish I watched this yesterday. I opened my first Olaplex shampoo and poured way too much on my hand and had such a hard time washing y hair 😂 A little does go a long way!!!
I’ve been using the no 3 the longest, ever since it’s come to market. And then as they’ve been creating them, I’ve been adding them in. :) the only product I haven’t tried is #0!
I wanted to give this product a try and got a sample of the 0 and 3. I heard you should put the 0 on dry hair for 10 minutes but then since it is damp from the 0 you can add the #3 to your hair without wetting your hair further. Should I rinse the 0 out and then put the 3 in? Or add the 3 after 10 minutes of 0? Thanks!
The damaged hair (#3) product is not for me. If I'm in the shower and all I'm not going to apply something on my hair and get back in to rinse it out. I know I won't. So there's no use to even buy it, it seems like an inconvenience.
This is why I can’t have nice hair, I just can’t hop in and out of the shower and back in, esp in the winter. No scratch that, even summertime. One day they will come out with a mask for dry hair that I can apply before my shower and then boom in the shower I am done 😛
Depends on the product! The shampoo smells like a light citrus smell, conditioner is next to no smell, the hair oil is like fruity and tropical, no 3 is slightly floral too! I wouldn’t say any of them have a pungent or super strong smell. ❤️
I actually have never tried this line. I need to. I have waist length hair , buts fine, thin, straight as ever , hair I can’t use any heavy product. I get scared. Ha ha

I have used the entire line and really like it. My hair has never been so healthy and long.
I have shared this video with several people and even FB groups. So so helpful!!
I’ve watched this and forwarded it several times now. Again Thanks!!

Thanks for the tip on the shampoo because it is very thick and hard to maneuver around your scalp if you just apply it right to your hair

I think I might give the shampoo and conditioner a go. Those itty bitty bottles had me seriously worried I would be repurchasing every few weeks 🙄
Honestly, me too! When I didn’t emulsify I was running through it because it didn’t lather well. Big game changing tip! ❤️
So when you use the #3 and #8, will you then condition or just leave it?
So shampoo no. 3 and then conditioner ?
Thanks so much for this. I might try the oil next
I see 0 and 3 sold together or recommended together. What do you think of 0 and should it be used in combination with 3?
Unfortunately I haven’t tried 0 yet! 😩
You can try a spray bottle to wet you’re hair for #3 before the shampoo instead of just jumping in lol.
