Really appreciate the effort and research you have done Deepika! Kudos! This video is literally THE answer to every question I had about olaplex! I’ve been using it since 2+ years and I love it! Thanks for sharing such amazing content!
Finally order it after watching your video. Was contemplating for a year. I really like the fact that you recommended to use as per the need, as I have virgin hair and I don't even use heat on hair but they tend to tangle at the ends. Every other video tells to use twice a week or once a week and you know we can not afford that. Excited to try it. Thanks.
Every week! Damn! Its not the right way. The every week thing is for very very veryyyyy damaged hair not for everyone. I dont see much difference sometimes even if I use it after a month because the damage level is really less. Its like just wasting the product. But you can initially use a wee bit only on the ends every 7-10 days. Also, get a nice trim that will help even more and then dont leave ends naked else they will damage again.
@@desicurly my hair doesn't tangle at the very end, they tangle near to the ends so I can't go for a trim as I have been growing them for a long time. Yes will be keeping hair in braids more.
@@bloomybloom5285 hi. Yes it does minimises the appearance of split ends alot. I use it once every two months as I have very very long hair and they tend to tangle and split easily.
Hi Deepika, I had beautiful curls like you and been following CG method for the past 5 years, but one day I ironed my hair from a saloon for a shoot and to my horror it never bounced back even after trying everything possible. I can’t begin to tell you how devastated I am now. I even mesaaged you in insta. Now my hair is slightly curly on the roots and needle straight towards the ends, like transition stage! I tried K18 but it didn’t work as expected. Do you think Olaplex #3 can help my extremely heat damaged hair?
Hi, if we have already washed the hair before the olaplex treatment, do we need to shampoo our hair again post the olaplex and protein treatment or do we just rinse the hair with water??
@@desicurly exactly I felt the same too.’ And also felt like , that way it will be even more beneficial to the hair .! But most of the other TH-camrs kept saying we will have to rinse with shampoo. So got confused .!
Thanks for the detailed video😍..had my 1st olaplex treatment from parlour as my hair were brittle n wonky n crown area curls were getting Straight or wavy but not curly which i wanted.. hoping to see the best of results🤞😊
Olaplex will 100% help with brittleness of hair! I hope with continuous usage you will get your desired healthy hair♥️ get the olaplex3 for home usage and you can then do it yourself whenever you get a chance 😍
Keratin is a type of prptein. Protein mask can have more types of protein. Keratin treatment however is completely different- its just hair straightening with fancy names

I am not sure what they do in keratin treatment plus cant really trust salons. They suggest something and do something else..not transparent at all. But if you feel other than being straight its very brittle and lifeless the. It will definitely help
No no you wont need to still use it that frequently. Every week is suggested only for extremelllyyyyyy damaged hair. Even if colouring or root touch ups its possible your hair is healthy. So use only when required
Olaplex did nothing to my damaged hair! They look exactly as damaged as they were before! Where I could possibly be wrong?? And I ordered from their official website
Whether Olaplex 1 and 2 (salon treatment) needed for virgin hair? Some parlour are providing the treatment to all and not specific for colouring persons alone.
See if your hair is in decent condition then using number 3 at home is more than enough for a simple but consistent care. If someone has extremely damaged hair like doing heat styling every other day, bleaching, colouring too often, not bothering to even condition hair - all of this adds to damage quickly. They would need even more intense treatment However 1 is added to bleach, 2 is done right after colouring. I am wondering how are they providing the service without colouring involved. Finding new ways to earn may be. Not sure but yes not needed
Just Roughness - gentle shampoo and hair mask would help followed by a hair serum or cream according to your hair type. Brittle or damaged - bond repairing would help. I think you should do both
No idea sorry never got it done in salon. Its not a treatment to do in salon honestly. Just have to apply on hair like conditioner and leave for sometime
Hi Deepika , First of all thank you for a such detailed information regarding olaplex.... but still I have some doubts as I do not know much about curly hairs , Actually I have natural straight hairs , type virgin : I have not done any colour treatment or other treatment from salons and haven't cut my hairs never ever , and along with the natural straightness my hairs are very long ( near about hips or below enough i guess ) . So , pls suggest me which olaplex product should I use ( Also , I want to change my shampoo and conditioner , please suggest one .....💌
Hi! So the thing with split ends is that you can absolutely avoid it without olaplex too. The reason they happen is due to dryness. Ends are oldest part of our hair and thus the weekest and most prone the damage. Since your hair is long I am assuming you haven't cut it in a very long time. So next you should do is get a trim because there is no way to join them back. Split ends also split upwards so they will damage rest of the hair too if not cut off. After cutting off you should always leave something moisturising on your hair like a water based spray leave in or any kind of leave in that keeps hair moisturised from mid to ends. - same as we do for our face and body skin else that will crack too. Same as mud cracks when its dry and dehydrated. So alwaysssss apply some kind of leave on styler in your hair. I doubt the hair serums will do the needful as they are oil based but water based ones can do it. Like olaplex has a couple of leave on styler, you can also use k18 which is a leave on bond repair treatment though very very expensive but worth it from what I have heard. You can also just get any spray leave in conditioner or a very light leave in conditioner. Thats the reason i do not have any split ends its been 1.5 years since my last cut - reason - being a curly girl I alwayssss use stylers like cream or leave ins so they keeo hair really moisturised till next wash. I always sleep om satin - either satin bonnet or satin pillow cover or both. This helpssss tons as compared to cotton pilllw covers that suck out moisture from hair
@@desicurly 😭 thanku so much for replying , and YES i have been using silk or satin bonnets ; tbh they really helps , also i change my bedsheets and pillow covers often , but I haven't used any leavi - in conditioner or spray until now , and talking about the trimming part ( or cutting hairs ) , honestly I cannot do it due to some spiritual and superstitious reasons 🥺 , so cutting is a Big No for me , what else shall I do
Which shampoo do you use before or after olaplex? Actually i want to know if i can use any shampoo with sulfate before or after treatment product like olaplex or loreal bond repair pre shampoo!!
Hi, sulphate containing or sulphate free doesnt matter. One ingredient doesn’t justify the property or cleansing ability of the shampoo. Do watch video I have shared when exactly to shampoo and which shampoo I use. Dont shampoo afterwards
Hi deepika! Loved watching this damm detailed video..had a query..i once had a word with the brand, they said we are supposed to shampoo hair again after olaplex..is that so?
Hi Pratima! No way! Not needed at all. Probably the person who ho replied doesnt know it very well. I mean I dont find a reason to use shampoo again after this treatment. It’s their patented ingredient in conditioner like base. And the whole formulation feels like a light conditioner on hair so not at all oily. Why to shampoo then. I also confirmed from Olaplex in DM about the shampoo thing. So you see how different people replying differently on DM😅 but practically no need to shampoo again
Also, this was a super helpful video. I was always confused about olaplex and I didn't know where to source the information from. This video literally has everything!! The hardwork you put into this is>> thank you! I really wish I could afford this though😂

Fantastic video Deepika, Made me subscribe to your channel. Have you ever tried a protein treatment with gelatine.? And if so, do you recommend it’s against the pea protein mask? Which one is more effective? Thanks.
Hi! Thank you♥️ Yes earlier I used to use gelatin that’s how I started with protein treatments. Followed it for 2-3 years then stopped because of its animal origin. Works almost the same honestly but reequil one is way simpler and easier to do and isnt messy either. With gelatin I would just procrastinate always but reequil one is handy.
Hey , Can we use 3rd olaplex without using first 2. I'm 18 and I want to use it by my own mean at home and i have virgin hair and I have straight and slightly wavy hair due to excessive damage.
1 & 2 are not available to individuals only professionals. Its not available readily for purchase either. 3 is at home follow up treatment and is not required to be used right after 1 & 2. So you can just used number 3. Have explained all of this in the video too ♥️ but if your hair is mix of wavy and straight due to salon straightening treatment like keratin cysteine botox etc, then I doubt olaplex will do anything
Do we have to have a haircut before using this?? What if we have few splitends ? Will it be helpful to enhance hair quality??? I mean I m planing to buy it but if have few splitends but I don't want to trim my hair as I m in the journey of increasing my hair length! Will it works if I use it without hair cut?..
Hi! Ends will feel a little better but I would HIGHLY recommend getting a trim for split ends. There is no way to get rid of them otherwise ans they just tear hair strands upwards. before or after doesnt matter you can anyway use olaplex
Very little trim would do work. No need to cut lot of hair. After trim make sure to always use a conditioner/hair mask after shampoo & also a moisturising leave-in product. Split ends wouldn’t even appear this way
I've never used olaplex but I did get curlsmith bond curl rehab salve considering the quantity that I get for the olaplex's price. I feel like it does work really goooood! But I'm eager to know your thoughts on it as comparison with olaplex ❤️
@@desicurly The same stuff that you said about olaplex.. Curl pattern at my hair ends is so good.. It makes my hair really soft too I don't have the need to use conditioner when I use bond curl since it has such a good slip! My sees has been using bond curl since last year. She occasionally uses heat on her hair. So I bought her that. But that has become her holy grail. She raves about how manageable and soft and healthy it made her hair despite using heat.
I have wavy hair..can I use olaplex number 4 nd number 5 ..as regular shampoo and conditioner like twice in a week...I'm totally confused..pls tell me 🙏🙏🙏 i wish you will help me
Hi! No i wont suggest that. Its an expensive deal and unless your hair is in really really bad shape its not recommend to use them every washday. Even if you do, do it only for a short duration and then back to regular shampoo and conditioner. Its better to use number 3 as and when required instead of getting shampoo and conditioner from olaplex
@@desicurly but I am suffering from split ends and breakage...i don't know what to do i have curly hair also...pls help me...I'm feeling so helpless 🙏🙏🙏😭😭... how I can save my hair 🙏🙏
It treats damage. If frizz is due to damage, you will see a difference after every use. But frizz technically is not damage. If a person has naturally wavy or curly hair and they don’t manage it accordingly, it will look frizzy no matter what. Damage repairing wont make it straight so frizz wont go.
I really wish this video came up a month ago🥺 nothing was working on my hair. And it was breaking off like crazy. I should've used olaplex but the Lookwell wale bhaiya was like "go for a keratin treatment" I immediately said no. Then he said itll it's just a protein treatment and itll stop the breakage issue. And after the treatment (which costed 6k) he was like this treatment won't work for your hair get our shampoo and conditioner and serum (filled with sulphates and silicones) which was worth 6k again. I hate myself for that decision and never repeating it again. 🥺
Oh my!!!!!! These salons🤮🤢 they have zero knowledge literally! No effective protein treatment will make curly hair straight ever! Now that you have done it, enjoy the straight hair phase I would suggest..will help you go through this summer easily♥️

I thought I already replied you! Oho! 🤦🏻♀️ sorry! Here is the video for olaplex alternate basically another bond repair treatment. I think making affordable bond repair treatment isnt possible. Why? Because these companies use innovative technologies to make the formulation penetrate hair shaft and do some chemistry inside…its a tough job!🥲 i would rather suggest using your bond repair treatments on clean hair and only when required to get the max out of every session. Also buying during sales ♥️ Here is the video you were asking for: th-cam.com/video/CnbBYx8nVP4/w-d-xo.html
so after shampoo u applied olaplex no. 3 n rinse it off with a plain water n then u applied mask n again you rinse it off with plain water...m I right...please help
Yes absolutely right. Mask shouldn’t be just any mask. I would prefer not using extremely softening kind of mask until and unless hair is extra rough. Over softening should be avoided
Hi in that case I would prefer to use shampoo and then number 0 and number 3 followed by no shampoo. Reason remains the same as explained in the video: treatments work best on clean hair. Rinsing off works. Excessive shampoo dries out hair and that’s what we do not want♥️
Thanku for such a detailed and informative video. Had a question about Re’equil pea protein mask….do u use it pre-shampoo or after shampoo as the product itself mentions it needs to rinse of using mild shampoo
Hi! Thank youu♥️ I dont use any treatment on dirty hair. I use everything after. And no need to shampoo after reequil mask..its not an oil that need to be shampooed off. They have mentioned to use it prepoo so that people dont have to spend a long time in bathroom when using it after shampoo. Doesn't make sense to me though😅 here's a video that will help instagram.com/reel/Ccz_M2upxNh/?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y=
My hairs are fine but the only problem is split ends a lottt of split ends 😢😢😢 For that i have to cut my hairs again and again😢😢😢 please suggest what olaplex number should i buy??? Hair type: virgin Please reply
Split ends occur only when we leave our hair very very dry! The ends get so old and so dry that they split just like dry mud does when there is drought in an area. If you dont let that happen after a fresh cut, that wont happen in the first place. Never skipping conditioner, using deep conditioner once in few days, using stylers that keep hair nourished and moisturised are some way. I do all of that and I dont have a single split end since 6+ years. Used to have before that. No product including olaplex would join split ends. Number 3 however can help repairing damaged bonds but again it needs to be rinsed off. If you have the budget then probably number three for occasional use and some leave on product from Olaplex will help. I have mentioned all of them in the video and there could be new ones too
It does not contain silicones. Even if it does, i think the benefit outweighs the buildup issue. Buildup does not happen that easily plus not all silicones cause buildup. Depends a lot on how the product has been formulated. I have learnt a lot about silicones and sulphates in past year and have stopped seeing them as devils♥️
Low Porosity has nothing to do with liking or hating proteins..every hair needs protein when it suffers damage or when body and definition is required. Infact hair is made up of protein too! Another important thing do not buy anything based on hair porosity because only microscope can find it exactly at a certain spot on hair. Low porosity is not a problem like most people show it to be..its a characteristic of healthy hair. But ends are always higher in porosity because they are old. So best to never buy things or assess your hair based on porosity- will make you loose a lot of money and time with little to no output Whether you need protein in your hair is something only you can assess- if hair feels too limp and lifeless then does not hold up shape- you need it. Nothing to do with porosity
CAN ANYONE SUGGEST if I can just use No. 3 Olaplex and then use Cantu shampoo and conditioner, I’ve really frizzy/dry( frizzy is the correct word ig) curly hair. Also, I never colored or had any chemical treatment done on my hair in my entire life so it’s just medium damage but I wanna repair it

Works almost the same honestly but reequil one is way simpler and easier to do and isnt messy either. With gelatin I would just procrastinate always but reequil one is handy.
@@desicurly ok, thanks
Hey ,
Can we use 3rd olaplex without using first 2.
Split ends wouldn’t even appear this way
@@desicurly thank you mam. ❤️
Best video on olaplex!! Thank you so much
Thank youuuu🥰♥️
Nice video…how to use olaplex rebonding oil?
As far as i know its supposed to be used as serum and not as a wash off traditional oil.
Love the video ! Super useful ❤️
Very useful video. Thank you.
Which shampoo I can use after olaplex treatment please reply
Shampoo is to be done before olaplex.
Excellent video
I've never used olaplex but I did get curlsmith bond curl rehab salve considering the quantity that I get for the olaplex's price. I feel like it does work really goooood! But I'm eager to know your thoughts on it as comparison with olaplex ❤️
That’s gonna be my next video♥️ what difference did you feel with Curlsmith?
@@desicurly The same stuff that you said about olaplex.. Curl pattern at my hair ends is so good.. It makes my hair really soft too I don't have the need to use conditioner when I use bond curl since it has such a good slip! My sees has been using bond curl since last year. She occasionally uses heat on her hair. So I bought her that. But that has become her holy grail. She raves about how manageable and soft and healthy it made her hair despite using heat.
😯😯😯😯
Maam there is under budget bond repair cream for curly hair please reply maam
Hi yes check the recent shorts I uploaded just yesterday
Does it treat the frizziness?
I didn't buy anything else because I immediately regreted my decision. I miss my curls!! 😭
Oh my!!!!!! These salons🤮🤢 they have zero knowledge literally! No effective protein treatment will make curly hair straight ever! Now that you have done it, enjoy the straight hair phase I would suggest..will help you go through this summer easily♥️
Thnx Deepika for bringing out this informative vdo on olaplex no 3 🤩... Pls consider mking vdo on dupes for olaplex 3/ bond repair treatments that r effective n economical n the ones dt wrk on clr treated hair.. Thnx 😊..
BTW i forgot to mention dt I jst bought my olaplex aftr progastinating on it for more than a year now 🤭(hvnt yet used it)

Also buying during sales ♥️

This is such a knowledgeable vdo
so after shampoo u applied olaplex no.
Have u tried Curlsmith Bond Rehab salve? If yes.. pls provide a review
Hi! Yes I have ill post a video on it comparing with olaplex
Amazing content .. very crisp clear and on point
Thank youuu Praneetha🥰
Such a concised and informative video! Thanks Deepika❤
Thank youuu Ishani for watching and commenting🥰♥️
thanks for this thorough video Deepika!
Always a pleasure! 🥹♥️
Is it necessary to use shampoo after doing olaplex treatment….can we just rinse it off from water only??
As i used both no 0 plus no 3 treament??
Thank u 😊 ♥️
Great job on the video
My hairs are fine but the only problem is split ends a lottt of split ends 😢😢😢
For that i have to cut my hairs again and again😢😢😢 please suggest what olaplex number should i buy???
Hair type: virgin
Please reply
I have mentioned all of them in the video and there could be new ones too
@@desicurly Thank you 🙏🥰
Thanks for making this .. ❤
As said in the intro , you covered everything ❤
That was the intention 😍♥️
I am a bit concerned if it contains silicon, and how do you remove that silicon buildup
Where can i buy olaplex can you share some link
Links placed in description already♥️
Do low porosity hair need that protein mask?
Low Porosity has nothing to do with liking or hating proteins..every hair needs protein when it suffers damage or when body and definition is required. Infact hair is made up of protein too!
Another important thing do not buy anything based on hair porosity because only microscope can find it exactly at a certain spot on hair. Low porosity is not a problem like most people show it to be..its a characteristic of healthy hair. But ends are always higher in porosity because they are old. So best to never buy things or assess your hair based on porosity- will make you loose a lot of money and time with little to no output
Whether you need protein in your hair is something only you can assess- if hair feels too limp and lifeless then does not hold up shape- you need it. Nothing to do with porosity
Can we use any shampoo L’Oréal etc??
Yes whatever your hair likes♥️
I love your outfit 😍 is it a dress or top? I wish it's a dress 😅

How frequently we should wash our hairs?
As frequently as your lifestyle and scalp health requires you to. Not everyday though.
@@desicurly washing hairs daily with water only can also cause damage to hairs???
should i washoff the no 3 with shampoo???
No no not required. Have explained the process in the video (timestamps in description)
Can low porosity hair people use these products
Hi, low porosity hair means very healthy hair. So yes healthy hair can also use if required
Is this product pregnancy and breast-feeding safe?
I would prefer not commenting on that dear. The answer is very subjective varies from person to person and only dermatologist must give a green light.

CAN ANYONE SUGGEST if I can just use No. 3 Olaplex and then use Cantu shampoo and conditioner, I’ve really frizzy/dry( frizzy is the correct word ig) curly hair. Also, I never colored or had any chemical treatment done on my hair in my entire life so it’s just medium damage but I wanna repair it
Hi...very useful video. Using Olaplex 3 I got it. I have got 4 & 5 also...how & when to use them to get best results
They shampoo and conditioner right? You can use them like that
