Appreciate the honest review. I agree with most of what you said. I just started using their shampoo so not sure if i like it yet, it does lather very nicely. 1&2 are a must. 6&7 combined work miracles to get rid of frizz in my hair. #3 isn’t strong enough for my hair.
I had completely fried my hair. It was falling out and breaking off just from running my fingers through it. I purchased the No. 8 and No. 7 in December and my hair started getting softer and dried quicker (it was shoulder length and used to take almost six hours) I still had to cut a lot of hair off but for the newer hair that had suffered some heat damage but wasn’t beyond repair, it was great. My ends did look more sleek and my hair overall is tremendously softer. It did take several months to see any sort of difference, but it was worth it. I didn’t repurchase the hair mask, but I could see myself repurchasing the oil. That one small bottle has also lasted me almost a year. I have thick hair so I use about four drops and i oil my ends every night, but usually alternate between No. 7 and a cheap argan oil from target lol.
I love no 6 and no 7 along with no 3, However using No 6 and 7 to air dry my naturally curly hair doesn’t really do anything for my frizz but I love it for blow drying.
I really really love Olaplex for my fine blonde hair. For 2 years. All of it . But I wouldnt purchase 0 again. And I Completely agree about the No 4. 💖
I just used the Olaplex NO 6 Bond Smoother for the 1st time this morning and OMG, I'm obsessed!! My hair never felt better!! If you are on the fence about this product, GET IT!!!
I tried the Olaplex conditioner and I agree with you. I use a wide tooth comb to comb out my damp hair after using a micro fiber towel. I had such a terrible time just combing my damp hair before trying the #7 bonding oil and #6 bond smoother. Those three products were extremely disappointing to me. While #6 was ok for my hair, I had to use copious amounts on my hair and not the recommended nickel sized amount the the hair care specialist recommended. I was also told that the #7 bonding oil would help the bond smoother "latch onto" my hair better, but I noticed nothing. Yes, I also used quite a bit of the oil instead of the recommended 1-2 drops of it on my hair. Needless to say, I saw no added shine, my hair looked even more frizzy than usual and felt a bit like straw. I will purchase the professional grade 4 in 1 moisture mask and see if this helps my hair. Otherwise, the local store brand conditioners helps my hair become smoother and more silk like in texture than the pricey Olaplex conditioner and oil does. I even ditched my regular hairdryer for the ceramic ionic hair dryers (yes they dry hair so quickly!) But for now, I am still fighting the Battle of the Frizz LOL!!! I am also looking into a leave in hair conditioner and a heat serum to combat the "rizzies." Do you have any recommendations that won't blow my budget? Olaplex is already doing that just fine. I have to add that I gave up on using curling irons, hot rollers, etc. years ago, and occasionally use a flat iron ( once or twice a year). I only use a hair dryer. I don't dye my hair or anything. I just want nice smooth straight hair. No curls. But all I have is a big poof ball of hair on my head. :(
I'm curious did you buy your products from an authorized olaplex seller? I have heard there are lots of counterfeit products around.....even from walmart!
@@GlamByKam yes, Dream Coat is *amazing*! It’s one of my “buy back ups of back ups” products. Also agree with you on 6. I mix it with a few drops of 7. Ive just discovered 4C and I’m honestly blown away. I have hard water so I get mineral and product build up and 4C is honestly life changing 😆 I also recommend that people get the 2 in a salon size if they possibly can because it’s even more amazing than 3 and works out cheaper per ml.
@@charleskorecky2210 EXACTLY what I've been thinking! I LOVE Olaplex- but a lot of ppl say their hair falls out... I wonder if it's from counterfeit products on Amazon, etc!
I could not figure out why it is impossible to brush out my hair after a shower I use 4 5 and 8. Thanks so much I now use #4 and Karseell, what a difference in my hair, after a few days I add Moroccan Oil. Just seeing my hair shine and feeling light is a bonus, especially the results from Karseell. THanks so much Kam
Wow. I guess everyone is different. I don’t like the shampoo and basic conditioner. But literally everything else they make, I adore! Especially the mask and olaplex 0 and #3!
I have 1, 2, 4 and 6 at home. I love it! xo. I also have the Color WOW Dream Coat, which is the holly grail for frizzy hair, hands down! I also use the Kérastase Nutritive Cream Magistralea and the Protein Recharging Leave-In Treatment by RATED GREEN which are absolutely amazing for dehydrated and damaged hair. These are my absolute favorite hair products.
You look beautiful. I used Olaplex nr 3 but I didn't want to wait some minutes to wash it out, so I'm using Olaplex nr 6 and am very happy with. I use always kerastase shampoo and kerastase oil. Now I bleached my hair again (I colored purple and didn't want any more) and bought kerastase products for blond hair. I'm going on to try redken conditioner.
Great review! That is because it's your honest opinion. Some reviewers are probably loathe to give any criticism due to either being sponsored or hoping to be one day. Also, since you actually do have fine, thin hair the review is more relevant for many of us. #3 does work on my virgin hair. I have totally virgin hair (don't even use heat). But that is after decades of abuse. My hair is super fine like yours. I have a little more of it, and that is probably due to it being virgin. Mostly where I am seeing the most benefit is at the ends. They are more 'chunky' vs. 'wispy.'
This warms my heart!! I want nothing but the best for my Kam Fam ❤️ I love the way you describe it as "chunky" vs "wispy"! I've tried calling them "clumped" ends too lol. Thank you for letting me know that the No 3 works on your virgin hair, I'm so glad!
I appreciate your opinion. This line is primarily for “repairing the hair”. In other words, it is BEST for the hair. You have to know how to use them, paired with all the others. The #5 may not allow the slipping through your hair because the shampoo should have cleansed the build up. The #7 is best used for heat. It’s all extremely concentrated. A quarter-size of shampoo is A TON! As a stylist/instructor for 30 years, I just hate to rinse it down the drain because your using too much. The #3 is the same exact product as #2. The #1 & #2 are packaged and labeled for salon use only. A client shouldn’t have the #1 at home. It’s commonly mis-used. Enjoy!
So Kam, you are pretty amazing, thank you SO MUCH FOR THIS REVIEW. Honestly, regarding the Olaplex Condidtioner, I seriously thought I was taking crazy pills, because it gets pushed by all hair stylists, but I never felt like it was doing the job of a conditioner. My hair didn't feel softer, or even really conditioned after I used it. Same with the No. 0. I couldn't really tell the difference in using it with the No. 3 either. I have dark brown hair, that has been bleached and is now pink, so my hair is definitely damaged. I am going to look into your Kerastase masks - will def keep using the No. 3 from Olaplex as well, but yeah I'm with you on the conditioner and No.0 Spray-in boost. Thank you again for the DL on these!
I found the same with Olaplex 8, it is very very light. I expected something more think like no 6. I use 3 which I think is the best and the main product worth buying, and I buy 6 and 7 and mix them together for a nice blow dry with heat protection. I find most hair oils too heavy as I have very short black hair
The olaplex shampoo is VERY heavy. I have thick hair and it weighed it down a lot. Which is hard to do in my hair. I only used a very conservative amount. I much prefer Redken extreme shampoo. I used Olaplex number 2 once per week for 8 months and all it did was made me shed a tonne of hair! I used it appropriately. The minute I stopped using Olaplex, the shedding stopped. My hair is bleached professionally. I am licensed so am able to access professional products. However, the Olaplex number 6 styling creme is excellent. The number 7 oil is only really for fine hair. THe moroccnaoil is far better for thicker hair. The olaplex 4x4 conditioning mask is also excellent (professional product). The best thing I ever did for my hair was using the Pureology leave in conditioner before blowdrying. That did wonders for the condition of my hair
Olaplex No 3 literally save my thin and frizzy hair, so I ordered Olaplex 7 Bonding oil and Olaplex 8 Moisturizing mask and I'm happy that is was right choice, because FUCKING PRICE'S!!! 😭 thank you for video

Hey , I got keratin treatment and rebonding done bout 6 months back n now my natural hair have started growing n they are very frizzy n unmanageable . Please suggest which product should I use for my hairtype ( I also have damaged and broken hair ) . Kindly respond 🤍
Thank you for this great Olaplex review! Florida frizz ball here. I've been using Olaplex 6 for a couple of months now and love it! One question, not related... realize this is video has been here for a little while and you may not remember. What brand and color is your lip color in this video? It is beautiful and looks so natural! Thanks again!
No 6 has "unrated" heat protection. It won't protect from anything hotter than a blow dryer, which is about 140 F. But for blow drying it should be fine, I usually like to add a few drops of No 7 just in case.
I’m a stylist of 34 years and #6 you can let the hair dry until it’s almost 100% dry then add some heat with a round brush and it’s smooth as hell. It literally amazing. I blow dry at low heat but high air give a shot of it’s a ten split end mender and it’s perfection
This is more like best and worst for women who do severe damage to their hair regularly 😂 The higher their active ingredient is on the ingredient list… the better the product is for severe damage. If you don’t have severe damage, use stuff with that ingredient lower on the list. Like no 8 and 5…
You keep babbling on about 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and we cannot keep track of it. KEEP THE IMAGE ON SCREEN NEXT TIME so we know which product you are talking about
I was not impressed by Olaplex at all. The effect is not that big compare to Davines Replumping Filler + Conditioner or to Lebel products (Japanese brand) like Lebel Forti Serum
Thank you for your honest opinion. We appreciate this feedback!

I was thnking of getting no 3 no 4 and no 8 but now Im not so sure about no8... what would you recommend as a mask or conditioner after shampoo? for dry, split end, damaged hair (I woudnt say its extremaly damaged) but after washing with normal shampoo, and brushing I do get hair falling out more then I would like
Best and honest reveiw
Thank you so much so helpful!
I love the 7 but I don’t like the 6 it makes my hair dry and frizzy 😮
Hey , I got keratin treatment and rebonding done bout 6 months back n now my natural hair have started growing n they are very frizzy n unmanageable . Please suggest which product should I use for my hairtype ( I also have damaged and broken hair ) . Kindly respond 🤍
Color Wow Dream Coat is great for frizz, it's almost like a mini keratin treatment. I'll link the video I did on it in the description box!
Have you tried Oribe? Can you compare Olaplex to Oribe as a whole? Thanks!
I'm slowly getting into Oribe, and plan on reviewing them in the future for sure!
Heya, thanks for the honest video! I was just wondering what conditioner you use when you use the Olaplex shampoo?
Usually various masks from Kerastase.
How do i get my hands on 1 & 2?
You can't, its for salon use only. You have to go to the salon and have them use it on you.
Is Morocconoil intense hydrating mask better for virgin dry damaged wavy black hair than Olpalex no. 5 ?
Absolutely. The Moroccanoil is one of my favorite masks 💯
@@GlamByKam Okay, thank you Kam
Wow I love you new nose ❤
K18 is BEST product I’ve used
What if you do 1 at home?
Wow. Thankyou
Olaplex number 8 my fav well after 3
Thank you!
Are you sure number 6 is a heat protectant? My hair dresser told me it isn't... it was my favourite until I found that out
No 6 has "unrated" heat protection.
What about 4 in 1 mask?
Is good!❤
No.6 makes my hair tacky and hard to comb.
Would you now put #9 at the top of your list?
Thanks for your information. It's helpful 🙂 ☺️ love from 🇮🇳
Thnks alot 😘
People just try the products for yourself , and stop listening to people tell you what works and what don’t
You’re gorgeous❤ wow!
Nooooo! This oil is not good. Don’t work for my hair.
KEEP THE IMAGE ON SCREEN NEXT TIME so we know which product you are talking about
Wow bitchy
I’m not looking your looking 👀
I was not impressed by Olaplex at all. The effect is not that big compare to Davines Replumping Filler + Conditioner or to Lebel products (Japanese brand) like Lebel Forti Serum
