    Love it! I have waist long natural aging hair and was using 1/2 a bottle of Olaplex #0 which can be costly. I nowadays put 1/4 into a spray bottle, wear a mask and spray very close to my hair and that does the trick. I need a lot less product of #0 and of #3. I used the entire line except for #1 and #2 once a week for 3 months and now I use it once a month. My hair looks very healthy with less shedding and no breakage💃🏻

    One tip, because virgin hair isn’t damaged and doesn’t need help, I reserve #0 for mid to ends. I’ll saturate my roots with water and then use #0 on mids to ends, where it need the help. Then I go in with #3, which is so much easier to apply to wet hair, you use so much less!!! Before #0 came out I fell like I was wasting #3 trying to get it all over but my hair was drinking it in too fast. So even thought I’m spending that $28 on #0, it’s worth it to me because it actually has the reparative properties that water does not and it also stretches my #3 to go further than it would normally.
    Also, I also do each with a cap on, so it quite literally doesn’t dry one bit. And you know I always add heat, which makes the cap act as little sauna for my hair 😂 But for real, the humidity that builds up inside the cap is also helping to open those cuticles! And I always at least double the time they recommend. I do #0 for 20 minutes and #3 for no less that 45 minutes. And then at the end #8 for 30 minutes! All under a cap and half the time with heat. It’s an all day affair with Olaplex for me 😂
    Also I ALWAYS use a regular conditioner before a deep conditioner, I know it’s redundant but I’m a just creature of habit! 😂
    One last thing I failed to say! I absolutely LOVE your videos 🥰♥️😘

    • @heidiguttenberg
      @heidiguttenberg  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Nice tips! Thanks so much for sharing!

    • @nancytwinkle7677
      @nancytwinkle7677 ปีที่แล้ว

      TBH I don't understand why people spend a lot to get Olaplex unless OFC they bleach their hair. I damaged TF outta my hair after a bleach job gone bad that changed my hair texture for the worst and Olaplex was one of the things that helped rescue it but after that and chopping off most of the nasty hair, Olaplex didn't do much for my untreated hair 2 years later (it was literally created for dying hair and after dying/bleaching hair care)

    • @NativeNYerChicHK
      @NativeNYerChicHK ปีที่แล้ว

      @@nancytwinkle7677 you can damage your hair with too much heat styling too, not just with dye and bleach. But if you’re not heat styling your hair that often that it would cause noticeable damage then I wouldn’t recommend wasting money on this stuff. This isn’t going to smooth just like natural frizz or dryness or protein deficiency, this isn’t that type of product. It’s exclusively for rebuilding the broken bonds of severely damaged hair and that’s it. I think that’s why some people who try it, but don’t really understand what it’s meant to do and don’t truly have damaged hair but think they do, don’t love it. Because they’re expecting this to help with unwanted natural textures and other deficiencies, and that’s not what this is about. Deep conditioning, oil treatments, protein treatments and gloss treatment are more what those people should be trying to see what their hair actually needs to see which works for them best.
      Olaplex is really revolutionary, but you have to understand what it’s meant to target and use it for that purpose explicitly to get the results promised. I’ve since stopped dying my hair, I’ve really cut down on even heat styling very often, and I’m growing my hair out. So now when I use Olaplex it’s strictly on the mids to ends where the old damage still is. Otherwise, if I applied this to the virgin roots that are now about 5” on top, which aren’t damaged, I’d be wasting the product and my money. And it isn’t cheap 😩 so I’m definitely not doing that! 🤣
      Too many people don’t really know or understand what’s going on with their hair and assume what people online recommend will work for them too. And that’s just not always gonna be the case. Honestly, that’s rarely gonna be the case. You have to really understand what’s going on on top of your head to know what’s going to combat what you’re trying to correct to get the results you’re after. That should be everyone’s first step, get to know your hair, what it needs or doesn’t need and set yourself up with a realistic, reasonable expectation for what you’re wanting to accomplish. That way you’re not ending up disappointed because you’ve been wasting your money on expensive products that aren’t addressing your actual needs... But blaming the product for your dissatisfaction 🙄

    • @nancytwinkle7677
      @nancytwinkle7677 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@NativeNYerChicHK Yes but Olaplex is specifically designed and used for (or to prevent damage of) chemically treated hair.
      Specifically: The system was created to aid with chemical in-salon treatments like bleaching and relaxing, which can be super damaging to hair.

    • @nancytwinkle7677
      @nancytwinkle7677 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@NativeNYerChicHK
      Instead of spending a fortune on Olaplex, there are better products out there to help hair that is heat damaged or dry or whatever other problem but unless someone has chemically damaged hair I don't think spending $$$ on Olaplex would be worth it or necessary

  • @paulineboucher7074
    @paulineboucher7074 2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

    0 has the most building bonds and you MUST wait 10 minutes or more , than hit with number 3 . My favourite overnight mask is #6 mixed with 7 . Never let the product dry out because it stops working ( put on a hair bonnet ). Using the entire system for a few months will improve your hair like you would not believe. I also love the new K18 , it’s expensive but it also really works 💕

    Masks because my hair is so dry. No3, no5, no6 & no7 are my favorites. Have u tried the new L'Oréal 8 second wonder water? If not it's a must! Nothing will make ur hair as soft as that stuff! It's amazing & like $8 a bottle. For those that can't afford these look into the Cantu products at the family dollar stores it' contains Shea butter & always leaves my hair feeling amazing. I love the Cantu Shea Butter for Natural Hair Intensive Repair, Deep Treatment Masque they are $1.50. I leave it on my head for hours. I love your videos Heidi! I love olaplex, but only use the salon treatment and nr3 because so expensive.. I am thinking about using the oil since everyone seem to love it. Also would loove if you could recommend loreals new metal detox shampoo and mask, they have a three step salon treatment as well. But would love to see what you think about their products for home use. They have already come out in europe not sure about south america, but if it hasnt maybe you can do it in the future. I know that the salon treatment comes out in north america in september so maybe they also release the home products then as well. And I would guess that north and south america would get them at the same time :)

It has completelly transformed my bleached seriously damaged dry hair, and my hairloss has stopped completelly. I do 4-5 like every other day, sometimes more and add a bit of 6-7 daily. Then once a week the whole routine and I am going to get nr 0 og 8 also. I am in love with my hair now. :) and it is only getting better and better.

    This is the routine that I use after strong bleaching and hot tools everyday. These are the only products that saved my hair. I recently discovered lamellar waters, I bought the redken one the "extreme bleach recovery" water. I use it after the mask. It's spectacular!! I don't know if you ever tested these, but I recommend them!!

    • @leungchingting4880
      @leungchingting4880 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Definitely kerastase cuz ur hair isnt that damaged to use olaplex and there will only be minimum effect on ur hair. But will recommend olaplex no 6 and 7 if u blow dry or heat style ur hair

    • @imawakemymindisalive13
      @imawakemymindisalive13 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      virgin hair can still have severe damage from heat, chlorine, water in general, chlorine that your water provider may be putting in your water 💀, hard water, UV rays, humidity… all of these things combined can be worse than bleach, so depending on what other damaging environmental factors your hair is exposed to olaplex actually may work great. i live in sunny california and i’m a swimmer, and i wash my hair twice a week after swimming in the local pool and their showers probably aren’t filtered so i get a bit of damage. i take such incredible care of my hair, but it still gets damaged, so that’s why i’m excited to try olaplex.

    If I had to guess, I’d say your biggest complaint about haircare products other than shampoo, especially like masks & sprays & other products from Ketastase & Olaplex & even other brands is that they don’t give you enough product for very long thick hair! I feel like they make products for European women who often have thin & not very long hair & only wash their hair once a week so for them products last but for us they don’t 😭 it’s so expensive to look after long thick hair

      @ooohlaa13 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      yes makes sense ... i rarely have much product in my hair but usually do wash before 0 and its such a loooong day to do all the steps, as you have already acknowledged. BTW on the ellebangs channel she says that olaplaex users made it difficult for her to bleach the hair she says it makes it a bit resistant to the bleach, I was using it for 3 years to combat box dyed grey hair and I grew it out to 3" grey/white roots and my hairdresser had a helluva time stripping it, she said even the grey and white was very resistant, more than most she had seen. She does use Olaplex and Redken products So who knows, there may be some truth in ellebangs observation. Just passing it along for our data bank. Love your professional and polished presentations!
