In the video we look at the stupidity of Phil Burnell AKA DarkSydePhil with the Chinese Knockoff TrigKey S5 5800H with the built in Bitcoin Miner. We will look at the in's an outs comparison between it and the legit Beelink 5800H that this is stolen from by AZW or AliExpress.

Phail is incredibly lucky he hasn't angered the wrong person, at least so far. However the way he's progressing as of late, it's only a question of time until someone decides to find him in person. You can also be sure, it's not going to be a detractor, but one of his dents that finally had enough of the abuse.
When you only leave the house once a week and keep to a strict routine, you're probably not going to run into many people.
Well, not sure what to make of the video. The unit in my video actually had a Ryzen 5 5560U. I used it for a month or so as my primary unit. I think we did my first live stream from it. It isn't a great example, I had stuff set up wrong, but the machine had more than enough headroom. I used it to edit some videos too, until my stuff was delivered. It is currently collecting dust, awaiting the fate of all the mini PCs I've bought for reviews or just to play around with. Thanks for sharing my channel with others.
Your video had an awesome teardown and had some knowledgeable thought put in to it. Alot of the other reviews got a lot wrong.
This community focuses on a e-scammer Phil Burnell who goes by the moniker of DarkSydePhil.
Someone recently gave him the 5800H unit and he had no idea what it was and made shit up on the spot to make him look knowledgeable.
I debunk him on his technically knowledge, for the past year he's been begging his viewers for a new $3000 streaming PC, calling the Sony A7 camera a motherboard while trying to convince his audience he used to build gaming PC.

That's not his goal. He wants to use it to emulate ancient games so he can get 100% profit. He already didn't pay for the thing, now he figures he can play old SNES games and whatever on it and the tips will flow. Problem is no one wants to see him diddle around on mario bros for 3 weeks when you can literally finish the game in the time it takes to microwave a hungry man meal.
I had a ASUS ROG G73jh 10 years ago that could play almost any modern game at the time. It really was one of the best laptops I've owned despite being huge to the point of ludicrousness.
I had an HP Dragon around the same time, 20" notebook.... I had to carry it around in a duffle bag...
I despise people who mindlessly waste money on the levels that Phil does.
The fact that a dent sent Phil a Chinese spyware infected lemon is karmically satisfying since he actively attracts and exploits vulnerable fans.

Yes according to reviews online it comes with some questionable software installed. The Bitcoin miner is built in to the LAN/WIFI/BT and USBC driver.

I got a similar computer as a gift. I got the Beelink Ser 5 Pro. It's not a bad computer. I only use it when i travel. Phil talked out of his ass without knowing anything about it.
The Beelink is very good, the TrigKEY is a knockoff of it, buil at the same AZW manufacturing plant.
@@ProphetTech Yeah, i mostly play my games from gog on it. I have tried out Dark Souls 3 and Fallout 4 on it and they were playable.
He just wants to use it for emulation... AKA... free games he can 100% profit off of.

@@michaelkitchin9665 His old PC, which he's too stupid to do a few upgrades for and install windows 10, he's still using windows 8 and claims windows 10 is too expensive despite it being free, is just tool old to do anything. That's why he needs $5000 for a new on. His laptop has a GPU powerful enough to play GTAV maxed out, he only uses it to monitor chat and count the tips. This is the same genius who bout a 4K smart TV and then said he's never going to use it as a smart TV, just to watch himself get his ass kicked at street fighter.

DUDE DID YOU RELISE HE GAVE HIM SELF AWAY ABOUT THE 10 YEAAR OLD LAP TOP ! the apu is from 2020, vega8 is not rdna its the precursor to rdna. the steamdeck has a rdn1 apu. lp is lowpower not low profile. his laptop has 16gig but 4gig is allocated to the gpu.
Can't wait for piggy to meltdown about this when some of it's dents will pass the info :)

I saw this this morning when I got up, it didn't crash, you could see Chrono turned around so the game was working. More then likely the controller screwed up. Phil purchased a shady long USB-C cable. Remember the USB-C driver has the built in Bitcoin Miner as well.
Just Phil's stupidity, plus he immediately blamed the viewers.

lol using Megaupload for software updates is a massive red flag. Yeah if i owned one of these id nuke it after unboxing then reinstall Windows and DL all the drivers myself. Phil however would never do this since he is beyond lazy and incompetent.

How do you know for sure that the driver file has a bitcoin miner?
The threads you showed don't specifically say that the file is malicious (it's just listed in the Malwarebytes scan log as whitelisted) and I couldn't find any information about that specific file being one or the device itself containing a miner.
I also scanned the file on VirusTotal and it didn't report anything suspicious (0/67).
It's not considered a virus as it's a legit mining tool.
Even in Goodmonkey's video that I used he had to put it behind a firewall and the wiped it out and installed Windows on its own.
I might get the unti from him and I will do a followup with the original software install.

I believe most mining tools still get flagged by AV as a Miner, if detected that is.
In Goodmonkey's video, he said he did it just in case (not a bad idea considering the origin) and didn't look into it further.
Again, I'm not sure how you'd know the driver has a miner in it without investigating the device yourself.
In any case, I wouldn't mind a deeper dive

Unfortunately no, the unit has no Thunderbolt 3/4 support for an external GPU.
I'm running a AMD Ryzen 3900x CPU and highest temps i'm getting is 65C with my AIO on it. So is my CPU doing wrong ? XD

Yeah, his are from the 5600H.
I purchased the 5800H for myself using a $120 coupon, so the unit was only $380. I've replaced the NVME with a 990 Pro and Redline CL16 memory instead of the CL22 it comes with.
Still things are really shady and the hardware and software in the unit do not line up with what TrigKey says is supposed to be in the unit.
There will be a full breakdown once I have the time.
Anyone with any semblance of tech knowledge cringes hard watching DSP. His take on AMD cpu's was hilarious. Also hilarious he shits on the mini pc so much when the cpu alone has double the processing power of his 4930k and with 2 extra cores 4 threads and more modern instructions. Yeah his 780ti is more powerful than the iGPU but it's not like itd be anything he'd noticed when he doesn't even use his GPU correctly for the most part anyways. Then the fact the mini pc has NVME and 32gb of DDR4 vs his Sata ssd, HDD, and 16gb of DDR3 (although if he was actually using all 4 channels at 1866 cl9 the ram difference isn't as big. I'm not sure if he is or not but still he only has 16gb). Also him thinking the pc with melt or blowup if he tries to play a 3d game lmao. It's not like mobile processors are made to be low wattage to keep temps down, can deal with high temps, and will simply downclock when they get too hot. It's not the 90's anymore. If things work that way then his phone would melt or blowup during his long WWE champions sessions. Plus it does have a small fan and heatpipes for fuck sake lol. He must think there is no design at all and some dude just threw in a motherboard with a cpu on it into a small case then call it a day.
His modern pc wishlist is also hilarious lmao. So much stupidity.

@@ProphetTech I feel like it’d definitely wreck it when it comes to video editing and stuff like that, not like he does any of that haha. The only things really hurting the mini pc is the ram’s latency and lack of discrete GPU but I feel it would do well in a lot of cases despite that. I actually happen to have a build very similar to Phil’s desktop. I have a 4930k but I have a Asus Maximus IV Extreme, 8 sticks of 4gb Dominator Gt’s 1866mhz with CL9, and a Titan X maxwell. I also have a Xeon 1680v2 I’m about to swap with the 4930k. I was gonna do a video before swapping to show how competent the build is for streaming and gaming but you beat me to it haha. I mostly just built it as a dream build idea I had back in the day after being on a forum people where trying to figure out what would be the most powerful build possible that natively supports Windows XP. I decided to try it haha. I triple boot Xp 32-bit, Xp 64-bit, and Win 7 on it. It could be a pretty decent modern Windows 10 build too, I know a lot of people with worse haha. My main build tho is a 11900k, rtx3090 strix oc, and 32gb of b-die clocked at 4000 14-14-14-34 so I stick with that for modern stuff and heavily modded older games haha.

dsp is abit of a dunce coming to tech and anyone who plays cod well. as for the trigkey s5 i bought one to replace the asus tower i had for 10 years and yes i wipe the drive with freebsd then mx linux. the linux is kde form works out of box with no tech problems. with the gaming situation all but skyrim works. of the more graphical intensive games , scorn, succubus, and cough 2 worlds 2 goty edition all works and played smite a day ago. granted the machine is not a graphical powerhouse but you can play lol and dota at 1600 x 1050. at 57 my gaming needs changing and i played lol for 9 years so. what i do play works flawlessly . something about the wine make them better . as gen x gamer hardcore gaming is more than fsp requires skill and testicular fortitude in general the younger generations are lacking just saying. in conclusion although it is a knockoff its working without a problem under mx linux 23 and screw microserf
