- In this video we look at Phil's complete audio setup and go over the ins and outs of how poorly its setup, Phil's lack of knowledge when it comes to how the audio on his streams function, and just the sheer laziness of the worlds worst KNATENT creator none other then Phil Burnell.

DSP acting like he knows it all when he knows nothing and actively mocking and ignoring those that do know what they are talking about, for me is probably the most annoying of his many bad traits

Never forget the mini pc saga
Mocks the suggestions saying to do a whole troubleshooting stream as if Phil hasn’t done that multiple times before. Comcast internet saga is the most recent example that comes to mind. And then Phil says it’s better to turn the podcast into a troubleshooting stream rather than the day or night stream. lol You can’t make this stuff up.
Of course no troubleshooting should be done on stream but Phil says it’s easier this way. Bc the grown adult needs his audience to hold his hand and tell him exactly what to do instead of educating himself on his profession.
But what do I know. Pigroach has been doing this for 15 years on level 1. Phill must level up like BG3 where there’s only a few levels and each time it’s a meaningful upgrade that drastically changes how he streams. When Phil ascends to level 2 his streams are going to be infinitely improved.
Have you heard (and possibly tested) MixLine Beta from Logitech? Heard its does wonders and make everything easier for seeing connection. If so, what are you thoughts on it? Would that be something to suggest? since Mr. Contant Curator can't fudge it up.
I have not tried MiXLine yet.

That arc is going to be so good.
Phil is the only streamer on the planet that has been doing streaming this long yet has learned nothing about streaming. He even told everyone last week his PC is old as the hills. Phil puts nothing back into his business. He just spends all his money on drink, doordash, and WWE Champions.
Its crazy Phil knows almost nothing about his equipment and doesn't want to learn how to use it properly.
He would have a new PC by now is he wasn't such a greedy asshole because in 2022 he received two offers for a new gaming pc and simultaneously managed to torpedo both.
Offer 1 was from RTU, but DSP got pissy about the fact RTU made the offer public.
Offer 2 was from a fan who offered to buy DSP a $1500 PC, but DSP chased the dood off because he kept on tying to squeeze an extra $1000 and RTU's offer being made public didn't help matters.
Phil's mini PC that a fan bought him or whatever is much better than the old PC he uses now.. He's too lazy to reinstall OBS and plug in everything into a new computer. He knows he's so dumb he'll have a hard time setting it up. Which is ironic because he acts like he knows everything and is smarter than everyone

you also get larger frequency range with the high impedance headphones, insted of 60 hz they dig down to 30hz some even go to 20 witch is that thumping bass XD but pig roche is deaf and couldn't tell the difference. i love obs on linux we can route vst 2/3 plugins and ive got like 8 options XD is windows as easy ? im on an all amd system i wish we had those ai utilities
I use a Beyerdynamic DT990 Pro. Once you go hi impedence and a studio grade headset there is no going back.
@@ProphetTech those are a classic, great choice , I got monster DNA pro 2.0 . I've since got studio grade monitors (speakers ) because the same reason
His ego can't handle the idea of the mic being closer to his face as he doesn't want to risk his snort sacks being hidden.
Mic technique is equally important as mic settings, Phil's technique is to rock back and forth so you can never gauge his ACKtual volume and then he sits back in the chair so his mic is 3 foot from his mouth.
With all that he pays for WWE champions, he could have bought a decent PC.
$100 each month for the last 30 months he's been begging for a new PC he'd have the $3000 PC he wanted...

Basically in a nutshell he needs to get updated from Windows 8 correct? I think that's his whole problem he hasn't invested any money into the business he's got a 10 year old computer 🖥️
Definitely, it's not an end all be all though but being on Windows 10, updated version of OBS etc etc will help.
He needs to just take a day and gut the office. And take the time to plan it all out.

it took him 10 years to change the pop guard that made him rock back forth to see the screen behind it. It will take him forever to update his pc and instead of updating his pc he has in the closet with some ram and a new ssd drive he bought a 400$ mini pc to play one game that both his laptop and old pc could easily run. He is so god damn weird and backwards .
20% audio? that explains why i have to turn up the volume when watching your video, even with headphones on.

I use a high impedence headset, Beyerdynamic DT990 Pro 250ohm. I listen at 20% when just watching TH-cam. When I game I go to 30% but anything over that pretty much matches my Sony XM5's at 100%.

Look at all of the games that require you to build a character.
Fill will spend an hour or more of his stream picking out facial features and what they will wear. That should all be prepared for his stream.

DSP is so unique in that everything he does is infuriating and awful.
I’m certain he doesn’t have a GFCI in the bedroom. If it was newer construction, it might be arc fault protected but GFCI are usually only outside or near water. That said, I have NO clue how he doesn’t have issues with his power strips. If I could sneak into this clown’s office, I’d love to use a thermal camera on his setup. It’s probably bright red in there.
Heat is the enemy. DSP has decided to do everything possible to make his setup generate and trap as much heat as possible.
I just don't know what he has plugged in to the outlets, could just be an extender with USB support? I just don't know.... But the amount of equipment plugged in an surge protectors daisy chained.... Like wow...

I love all the detractors, but most just carry the same Philisms over and over. I love the fact that you take a deep dive into Phil’s ineptitude on technology with your knowledge. I think that really separates you from the pack.

Good points you do say in this and other videos I have emailed DSP about and he has changed some things such as utilising his GPU in OBS. Phil has always been the 'if it ain't broke dont fix it', which is why he does implement changes when things break.
Last thing, for all the audio talk your audio level is terribly quiet and unleveled to the video playbacks.

The reason why my audio is lower then the video playback is because we have to boost Phil's audio since its so quiet.
DSP has been told to use his GPU for the last 9 years since he's had it. He said it would never work, it doesn't support hardware encoding. He tried it once but shadow play screwed him up.
As for doing things off stream, that's what most content creators do. You just create an unlisted or private stream, invite people and test it all out. Detractors do this all the time, infact Jad and I do this on the regular.
Phil's setup has pretty much not changed since 2015, its still setup the same way since we've seen the office during the TV dieing, closet clean out and the TH-cam shorts. Just way more cables, way more of a mess and way more issues.

Granted but only the last few years he's decided to listen. When I first suggested it showed up blank for him because he never updated any of his hardware, it only became available when either windows or OBS did a force update.

@@Darziak it never became accessible due to an update. PHIL disables updates to Windows, he defers it, his own words.
You are not the first to recommend him using hardware encoding, he was told to use it way back in the fall of 2014 a few months after he got ripped off by Cyberpower.
Hardware encoding has been in OBS since 2013, the 7 series is the first GPU from Nvidia to have a hardware encoder baked in.... OBS became available in 2012. He never started using OBS till 2013 when Rambo after years of suggesting him to do direct capture...
Right now you are doing what Phil does, you are talking about stuff you know nothing about and trying to make yourself out to be right.
