Beautiful session 🤌 Thank you. Love the way you explain & focus on the nuances. I have always had a weird discomfort in my knees after veerasana variations.. Just that small stretch post it, helpex relieve the pain so much and almost immediately. 🙏
Hi Stephanie, I'm Erin's friend. This exercise definitely helps the feet and ankles, but it will take a few tries before I can fully rest my bottom on my ankles. Wow, that is intense. Thank you, and I will see you on Wednesday.
I'm so glad that I found your video. I have just been told that it have metatarsalgia and I've been looking for natural ways to improve my situation. I already participate in an Iyengar class at our local Y, but this extra focus is perfect for me.Thanks so much.
Thank you! Love it! I had plantar fasciitis that lasted for about a year, and ended about 5 years ago. This practice is perfect for me now, but I've got to say that I tried an assortment of these poses while I had plantar fasciitis and the practice increased the pain at that time, not just during the practice but afterward. The more I practice I realize how important it is to do the right thing at the right time, because even healthy movements can be counter-indicated in some situations.
💯💯💯Thanks for sharing that, Patti. So true and especially important for those of us who do a lot of yoga to be aware of. Also worth noting that bodies will respond differently. What works for one, may not be appropriate for another. Cultivating the skill of responding to your personal needs, to me, that is the true art of Yoga. 💜🙏☺
Nicest one I have able to apprehend. Blessings young chap. May God bestow upon you all his treasure of more and more knowledge like this one. If possible, pl send video on knee problem.
@@iyengaryogawithstephanie thank you from core of my heart. I will definitely act upon it on my wife aged 64 whose knees are tilted outwards. She has somewhat heavy body as compared to height. Though she is apt in flexing forward poses but backward poses are problem to her. Thank you again young champion.
Very good session. If I could ask you a question...I have a chronic mild soreness on the soles of my feet..will these stretches of the feet help? Thank you
Thanks for your note! It's hard to say without more context but provided that there isn't an underlying issue that needs specific attention, stretching and strengthening the feet can offer many benefits. How did you feel after the practice?
Hi Stephanie! So I want to tell you how difficult this practice was for me. I knew I have tight hips all my life and stuff, but yoga asanas were usually very easy for me. But last year I found out how tight my wrists were and I knew I cannot do sitting on my feet like this, but eversince I started running, I am dying. My left foot hurts if I don't stretch it out but I feel so tight that I cannot sit on my heels. I practice it almost every day, but this video made it even more obvious that I need to practice it every single day because it is a huge problem for me. Never thought I'd say that I have issues with my feet not being flexible enough, it just sounds so stupid! But thank you for this video, it was really hard and challenging and i need to come back more!
Hahaha it's funny that you say that about your feet because I had a very similar experience! Of all the places to feel stiff and sore from yoga, i used to think it was so funny that it'd be my feet but yup, yoga made me feel my feet in all sorts of new ways 😉😅☺️. Over time though, they definitely got stronger and more flexible. I'm happy to know that you found this practice and that you enjoyed it! Good luck with your yoga and your running!
Absolutely, if that's what you have then use it. I like using a rolled mat because it's a bit firmer than a rolled blanket but both are workable. Ideally you should try both and see which one you like better 😉.
Hi Steph! Thank you for making this video. I was so looking for something for my feet and ankles. I need help with asanas that makes feet and ankles strong enough to distribute the body weight evenly. In my case all my weight goes to inner feet and can't feel any weight on outer feet and around ankles. Any advice?
Soooooo, do your feet and legs feel refreshed?? Try this practice next: th-cam.com/video/TWcTNMGVzvA/w-d-xo.html 😉🙌🌈🧘♂
Wow. Better than physiotherapy
Beautiful session 🤌

Can I use a rolled up blanket instead of that roller ?
