Hello Stephanie. I love your videos. How about a video on hallux rigidus (arthritis of big toe joint) and some insight into whether we should practice bending the big toe joint or that is aggravating further? Thank you x

Ahh yes, hallux rigidus - not pleasant and a stubborn joint to work with! Please know that my understanding of the condition is pretty basic but what I have learned is that generally speaking, 'if you don't use it, you lose it'. So in other words, mobilizing the big toe joint in all directions is a good idea. Having said that, there IS such a thing as too much. I suffer from this condition too and I find that I need to work into the pain somewhat in order to make progress with both mobilizing and strengthening the joint. BUT I don't want the discomfort to linger beyond the duration of the asana. If when the practice is done, I'm in more pain than before the practice then I know I've overdone it. It has been a bit of trial and error to find the 'edge' that is right for me and the asanas presented in this video are some of my favs for mobilizing the big toe joint. I've made a note though for a future video, to share a few more 😉👣👌. Thanks so much for reaching out!
