@@IRON--MAN but it kind of annoys me when two incredible players play a match, people think the one who loses is inferior an the one who happened to win this one game is infinitely better.. like "Magnus Carlsen/Anand won against XYZ, so now he is the GOAT", "oh Carlsen/Anand lost 2 games in a row, now he is inferior to the winner".. it's a childish, sensational or immature way of looking at chess..
Hi Levy, Great video, I was hanging around wondering what was the story between Carlsen becoming a world champ and, of course, you have it covered! Thanks for your content.
Awaiting to see round of matches between my 2 favourite youtubers Agadamator and Gotham chess. Love to see you concluding matches with "it this moment Agadamator actually resigned the game" or "at exact this moment I resigned the game"!!
I’m in to board games and my mom wanted to do handmade Christmas gifts last year. She made me a really cool epoxy/acrylic board and pieces that she worked so hard on. But I hadn’t played chess in like 15 years or so. These videos have me so hyped to relearn though! I downloaded Dr. Wolf, been watching guides and playing exercises. I think there’s even a pretty active group in the area that goes to cafes.
I think Annand made a mistake revealing his team. Magnus has shown an alien brilliance to remember games/positions and I'm guessing he was laughing because he then knew EVERY possible opening he could face.
Its not new in prodigy chess players to accurately remember chess games WITH their dates too. Hikaru has shown so, so has Wesley as well as Anand. It had a lot to do with tact more than opening intel but yeah you do make sense here.
There's never been a better time to learn chess. I started playing in mid 2000s when i was 12 when Chess streamers/youtubers werent a thing. Then quit and havent played much since. But now there are so many entertaining and knowledgeable teachers out there. "Back in my day" all I had were crappy 360p videos, web articles, books and a chess club.
Totally loved it ! I must say this is the longest video I've seen and dint realize how time went!especially those clips in between made it spicier Love to levy!💜
Actually, it is super amazing for me, to find out this video by Levy today, I was just thinking about the same idea, to cover those matches when Carlsen became the world champion and when he retained his title, just in time.
Vishy ‘s playing era was not in Morden supper computer engine period .. even though he is one of the best among super GM s in 51 year ..recently beaten Neppo …he is legend in chess history ❤️
Thanks a lot for this video. Also can you make recap of Vishy Anand vs Boris Gelfand if possible. One of the games is very small and great, where the queen gets trapped very early and Boris Gelfand resigns
You should do a series of these type of chess history videos about different players. For example you can make a video on Kasparov's or Anand's world championship runs and more. Its very interesting and very informative.
33:59 "You see, the game of chess comes down to a tempo, one move very often, as you've seen from *pause* those endgames" Am I the only one who is mesmerized by the rhythm of this sentence? Feels like rap lyrics, nice Levy.
I always remember the fact that when i was a kid / young teenager playing chess in a club, Magnus was the up and comming Wunderkind in our age who everybody knew will become champion eventually if he doesn't start partying and getting more interested in the girls (boys) playing chess insted of the game like the rest uf us did. Kinda cool that less than a decade later exactly that happened.
Great video. You also can make a little review of who was the favourite, or what was expected from the match for the ones like me that dont know so much about chess history

@@IRON--MAN okay sorry, I misunderstood you.. if that was your point I agree completely, just because he lost there doesn't mean he is inferior to Magnus Carlsen in a sense of being a legendary player. Yeah Anand has to get utmost respect for his achievements and yes is still up to this day awesome
I'm sorry I am too immature, I giggle every time he says Peter's fiddler😂😂😂😂😂
omg it's so horrible they have to do the press conference thing straight after the match.
I think moving that pawn as the 58th move was the tactical flare. Another fantastic video thank you.
Hi Levy,
Great video, I was hanging around wondering what was the story between Carlsen becoming a world champ and, of course, you have it covered!
Thanks for your content.
Awaiting to see round of matches between my 2 favourite youtubers Agadamator and Gotham chess. Love to see you concluding matches with "it this moment Agadamator actually resigned the game" or "at exact this moment I resigned the game"!!
"I'm going to show you this clip o a press conference before the match begins"
*Save the children ad plays*
Excellent video. Just one thing: on 31:00, the Nimzoindian variation with 4.f3 is called the Kasparov variation
Nice! How is that going for you right now, 4 months later?
I think Annand made a mistake revealing his team. Magnus has shown an alien brilliance to remember games/positions and I'm guessing he was laughing because he then knew EVERY possible opening he could face.
Its not new in prodigy chess players to accurately remember chess games WITH their dates too. Hikaru has shown so, so has Wesley as well as Anand. It had a lot to do with tact more than opening intel but yeah you do make sense here.
Absurd questions in chess interviews compilation sounds like a really cool video idea!
A chess interview compilation sounds like a great video idea, I'd watch hours of that XD
Please do make a compilation of absurd questions players get asked!
I remember this very vividly, it was during ICC’s peak, everyone in the chat was in shock. Everyone felt so bad for Kramnik.
I don't see anyone dethroning this king for many, many years to come. The player that will dethrone him might not even be born yet...
I must say this is the longest video I've seen and dint realize how time went!especially those clips in between made it spicier
Love to levy!💜
Actually, it is super amazing for me, to find out this video by Levy today, I was just thinking about the same idea, to cover those matches when Carlsen became the world champion and when he retained his title, just in time.
Vishy ‘s playing era was not in Morden supper computer engine period .. even though he is one of the best among super GM s in 51 year ..recently beaten Neppo …he is legend in chess history ❤️
well kasparov was also not in the era of super computers
@@asylum9868 Who said he was in the era of super computers?
Part 2 PLS. Man i dont even playing chess but love these Videos. Its like a Anime fight
30:18 - do so! :)
20:54 Vishy does not drop the knight back , Magnus does!!!
Sorry you said sorry after but you did levy!
"and you've double isolated E pawns which just looks ugly and gross kinda like me " 22:57
Thanks Levy now I have water on my pc
1:22 I love that high five you give yourself before you start a game
Can you makes more history moment of chess like this
Thanks a lot for this video.
I loved playing the pirc defense with black, wait for your opponent to overextend himself and attack his weakness as he tries to attack you
this man deserves the youtube algorithm blessing fr
15:35 you went a bit mad with the arrows there 😳
Magnus is so suitable as a TV personality. His trolling is on another level 😂
33:59 "You see, the game of chess comes down to a tempo, one move very often, as you've seen from *pause* those endgames"
Am I the only one who is mesmerized by the rhythm of this sentence? Feels like rap lyrics, nice Levy.
Levy’s middle name starts with C, where C is CONTENT!
Or chess 😳😳
@@bullymaguire632 you, you little…
@@jinolin9062 hehehe 😏😏
Levy please can you make another video on how to prepare for a chess tournament please?
Absurde chess press conference questions video when? :D
This is one of the best thumbnails, EVER!
Great video. You also can make a little review of who was the favourite, or what was expected from the match for the ones like me that dont know so much about chess history
Lmao the thumbnail 🤣
can we have that compilation of chess players getting asked absurd questions?
Bro I was just thinking that I wanted to watch a Gothamchess video, thank you god for this gift
