Great perspective on pre engine tactics, or slaughters. Gary said he usually saw 6 moves ahead, more like 10 I'd say, but such foresight seems lacking today due to the razor defences of engine training. I'm a noob so don't hate me if I have belittled anyone, but as engines are becoming spiteful and torturing good players I wonder what new skills are needed to succeed in chess.

After Rxd4, Topalov could have played ... Kb6 (noted by Kasparov himself), after which things are not so clear. Which is why I've always felt that previous game against Kramnik was Garry's true immortal.

Do one of Wesley So. I really like his style and in today's world, he is as far apart as it can get in terms of style.

    Hello Levy!
I have been a subscriber for over a year and I wanted to thank you for your videos.
I had played tournaments when I was younger, and then had to stop to play chess to study. But after I turned 18, I restarted playing, teaching myself as a hobby. I could climb to 1750-1800, and now I'm 21 and I have just hit 2000 rating points just from the studying of your videos. Thank You very very much!
Maybe you don't respond to many messages, but I hope you'll see it ever.

Kasparov once said that a secured knight on d6 is equal to a rook in strength

Do you only gambit pawns and sacrifice material from a terminology standpoint or can you, for example, gambit the queen?

In the game vs Topalov when Queen takes Knight on f6 if Topalov finds the check with rook on d1 Casparov only moove is king b2 after that queen d4 check and its forced Queen trade and its 2 rooks vs rook and bishop endgame.

34:40 i just can't stop laughing of imagining Topalov literally stealing Kasparov pawn off the board and run away (probably to Fabiano house or sum)

Nigel Short played Kasparov for the world championship after Kasparov broke away from FIDE, and started his own chess federation.
