    My son always refuses to go bathroom. I used the closing ur eyes trick. Dint work. He was still just sitting and laughing. I improvised and said I guess mommy will have to just dance alone and this kid will not be able to watch me dance. He got down in a minute and was in the bathroom ready. Thanks Dr Becky!!

    While the idea of talking it out is super helpful, there are way too many words for a three year olds tension span.

    Yeah none of these work. Single mom sleeping 4 hrs a night who has energy for this at 6am

      @Lisaderruck55 your child is not the reason to the situations in your life. Neither are you, but for your child the connection is really important. If you as an adult cannot handle urself how can u expect a child to. I always remind myself about this quote one doc said to me:
      Often times when we focus on how we feel we forget who we are to our kids.
      We are their world. Period.
