@@PC_MonkeyHello and thanks for reply. My laptop battery was at 12% and died when i tried to turn on laptop. That's what i believe caused all this mess. It doesn't even give me the option to change to Legacy. Option is greyed out. About recovery F3 key... it simply doesn't work. I press it and nothing happens. The menu doesn't open, all that opens is BIOS as always, and always with correct time and date. I'll try the first method you showed but at this point i don't think that's the problem. Laptop was working perfectly fine for 3h while i used it. Then i turn it off and back on to make sure i saved my document but it died during startup...
@@verdecao8365 1. Are you able to try the rest of the function keys as yours may be different than F3. 2. So before this issue, you tried to turn the computer on but the battery died during startup so the computer turned off during startup?
Definitely gonna try. I have an msi g63 that turns itself of after running for 10 mins them is stuck in a bootloop. Based on the comments, and the clearness of you explanation, and the expertise you display, you did some quality work here. Hopefully it will suit my case! (I lost half of the screws also, I should but a bunch)
Update: my issue was partly solved following the steps, but my PC still sometimes shutsdown when I slightly touches it (gaming with the mouse is fine). There is clearly something going on with the hardware. When this accident happens, it enters the said bootloop again. I did this operation a few times. Also, I did it with laptop plugged on alimentation. I wonder if there is anything I can do further, to at least identify where the weak component is, and maybe replace it back or something ?
What do you mean, battery drain issue? Is your computer starting and working well other than the battery draining too quickly? Also, did anything happen before this issue appeared? Liquid spill, overheating, Windows update, etc?
I have a problem that seems to be unique to me, since I haven’t found anything online about it and posting on subreddits hasn’t helped either. I have an MSI Alpha 17 that kept looping back to the click BIOS menu, and after selecting the option to restore default BIOS settings a few times and exiting out, it’s now stuck on the logo screen whenever it tries to boot up. I’ve left it for roughly 8 hours trying to boot up like this and it makes no discernible progress. I can’t access BIOS menus anymore, no matter which key or combination of keys I have attempted to use, and I can’t access windows recovery. Beyond that, I’ve tried taking it apart and flushing the battery, I’ve tried the standard EC reset process according to instructions from a link I received to an MSI site, and nothing has made any noticeable change. I don’t have money to take it to a shop and have it looked at, and the only thing I haven’t tried is uninstalling and reinstalling all the hardware. I don’t know if you’ll see this or respond to it, or if anyone else will for that matter, but I’d appreciate any help I can get.
@@ifardedarghhh it would have, but my motherboard stopped recognizing my SSD so I had to buy a new one. If you’re having the same problem, make sure when you download the windows media creation tool to double click the file while it’s in your thumb drive folder and run it as a program. This will let it create the actual windows files and put them on the thumb drive. It can take around 40 minutes. If this doesn’t work for you you’ll have to buy a new ssd and install windows on it.

Hi, suddenly my Win11 only boots into the BIOS. I couldn’t switch from UEFI to legacy (disabling secure boot support changed nothing). Optimized defaults also didn’t work. Hitting F3 worked once but that didn’t solve the problem, and when I try to hit F3 again, it no longer works. Edit: I somehow got the pc to boot by unplugging the power (not sure how that works), but when I restart, I get to the BIOS again. I then managed to get into the pc several times, but this is obviously not a long-term solution. Edit 2: I tried again rebooting by unplugging, and it no longer works. I then tried again to boot by pressing F9, and it somehow worked.

I have a question, If MSI Laptop GL63 Keep Restarting over and over again after a sleep what could possibly the problem ? Everytime the laptop put to sleep while it plug-off (not being charge) and Chrome is on, the next time i started it, it will suddenly shut down and keep restarting over and over again. I always fix it by dismantling all the component and push the CMOS Reset Button (dat exist in MSI gl63 Mainboard). But every time i make it sleep with chromes on (and plug-off), the problem occurs again.... I can fix it again, but well...... im just curious what the problem is........ i put my sus in the CMOS battery, but wasn't too sure about it........

Hey bro, how did you change from UEFI to legacy? Option is greyed out for me

Good luck !! Let me know how it goes :)

@@PC_Monkey The % of battery drops like the half of the total when its off , i usually dont use it daily.
Yes, at that point, I would try a new install of Windows unfortunately :(
@@PC_Monkey I’ll give it a shot and see how it works out. Thanks.

If you’re having the same problem, make sure when you download the windows media creation tool to double click the file while it’s in your thumb drive folder and run it as a program.

Sir how to fix abnormal status reported by rapid storage technology uefi driver
When are you getting this error? At startup or at another time of using the computer? Also, did anything happen before the issue? Overheating, liquid spill, Windows update, etc?
My problem is that my laptop starts and it works on a monitor but the screen is black no matter what and I've tried rebooting it
If the computer displays to an external monitor but will not display to its own screen, your most likely looking at a problem with your LCD or your LCD Cable. I would first try reseating the cable at both ends to make sure its not just loose. If that is not the issue, I would then replace the LCD and LCD Cable one at a time till I find the issue. Let me know if you would like help with any of that:)
@PC_Monkey thanks for the prompt response! I will definitely try that out tomorrow and see if it fix or locate the issue! Do you have a video on your channel where you remove the cables? Watched yours and was able to unplug my battery without messing up the wires lol

The problem I am dealing with is my laptop is stuck on logo on startup. My laptop is the same model used in the video but I tried all methods except the first one (due to warranty and lack of tools to due so). The one i had most hope for was the f3 solution but when i do it all it shows is a black screen.
In that case, the next DIY steps would be more invasive. But since your still under warranty, I would have to suguest you contact them. Usually attempting DIY isnt worth losing the warranty :(
