- After the deal for my Subaru BRZ fell through I ended up going with a 2023 Toyota GR86. In this video I take delivery and cover my plans for the car.

Congrats! This was the most fun car that I drove last year. I honestly tried to get one before the M2 but none were available. I feel like the Camaro guys don't understand the purpose of the GR86 and BRZ. It's a ton of fun. It just lacks the gobs of torque. It's fun to rev out. Like a budget GT350 but reliable.
Thanks man! Yeah for the price around 30k this one is so tough to beat. It follows the recipe of a s2000 or a Porsche Boxster. High reving light weight sports car. So good!

On the Utah meetup I've been on, most of us swap cars for various sections of the roads were driving, and one of the guys brought a GR86. It is a basemodel as well, but he added larger wheels(same size as the ones that come on the Limited trim), and he's also running PS4 tires. Everyone that drove it loved it, including me. While I still love the Camaro, I would have been equally as happy with the 86.

@@Gonin60 fantastic time, wish it could have been longer. Will be starting out on the long journey home in a couple of hours, but this will be an experience I won't forget. If I can't make it to their Pilgrimage trip next year I'll try to come back to their Utah Adventure again.

Starting a better paying job and I think i've decided on spoiling myself with one of these. Test drove a brz and at first I was hesitant if I actually enjoyed driving it, then I got back in my e36 and realized how much I actually loved driving the brz

Bought my ice silver metallic Limited BRZ at Mark Miller last year. Walked out of Wally World automotive a couple of days ago after getting my Everstart Maxx battery tested (another free replacement battery on the way). I overheard two young auto dept. employees talking. One sees my BRZ and says "look - a new GR86". Will be the same story with 98% of the population.
And yes, i did add the OEM spoiler because it looks so good!

Would you mind sharing how much it costs? At 69 I’m not sure I need the extra down force,but then I think I need the force to be with me🤔

Hey man I owned a brz for 5 years and just got a gr86. Tbh never needed another car. Worked in snow with cheap snow tires and was always good on gas. If you need space for people specifically get the wrx for the 4 doors but the brz is practical for cargo with the folding seats.

@Ace Morales Thanks for the tip. I'm in the mountains of NC so we don't get much snow, but sometimes it gets icy. I would need some decent winter tires for those months.
@Diallo yea the brz is so light that in snow it usually rides right in top. If you get one some cheap blizzak winters would do wonders. If you could get some studded tired for the ice even better. Definitely never had a regret with it. Also since no turbo on the boxer engine I never had blown head gaskets. Owned a 2013 brz limited, a 2017 limited and currently a 23 gr86. Only issue I ever had was coil packs on the 2013 after 95k miles and changing plugs is a hassle. Other than those things can't complain.

I actually just traded my 22 Wrx for the Brz limited same color but the higher spec…paid $31k also made $300 for driving my Wrx for 3 months other than getting in and out I love it. Wrx is faster but I love the Brz look…congrats tho
Congrats! What did you pay for your WRX and what did they give you?
@@Gonin60 paid $30,700 for 22 wrx with the 11” touch screen the spec above base in feb and traded last week for the brz. Couldn’t get a gr86 here, think i got the brz for $31700. So payment went up about $20 but insurance saved me more.
@@Gonin60 $30,800 for the trade and paid $31,280 for the brz actually i just checked.
@@jasonroberts6133 I paid 36 and change plus taxes and the most I can get trade in is like 27

The higher trims have two more speakers. I’m sure it’s better but I think both are probably not that good

Utah "requires" a front plate but i'd estimate 30-40% of vehicles don't have them. It's never a good idea to give law enforcement an excuse to pull you over (and yeah, i know they can always make one up).

#1. Even its premium it's still cheap (specially you said you got yours MSRP so 100% you can get the premium MSRP as well).
#2. You can sell it for a higher price (if you ever planning to sell it itf),
#3. Blind spot monitoring & Rear Cross-Traffic Alert, doesn't matter how careful you are, people are idiots, and it always doesn't hurt to buy extra safety feature for you & for your car.
#4. Base pedal sucks
#5. Adaptive Front Lighting System.
