The best 911 is the 991.1 GTS. This is the distillation of the Porsche marque in one vehicle--the look, the power, the sound, and the driving dynamics. A future collectable and thoroughly enjoyable classic!
I have driven both the 991.1 and own a 991.2 GTS. The .2 is the sweet spot and a true mastwr stroke by Porsche. Once you drive a .2 you will realise they are next level.
epic 911 value … last naturally aspired Carrera before 3.0 turbos and soooo good in manual with a few mods exhaust and Numeric shifter … great balance between road car and track toy
Greetings from Germany, after my 996 Cabrio, I could buy a 991.1 4 GTS few weeks ago. I can’t wait for the season beginning in April to make my first experience with it…-
8:37 And that is exactly why I bought a "new" 991.1 Carrera 4 GTS with a 7-speed manual in 2018 even though the 991.2 models have been out for 2 years and even though I have driven the 992 on the track with the Porsche Track Experience. I say "new" because my 991.1 after 3 years and 1 month that the previous original owner owned it, it only had 159 kms or 98 miles on it. I would not straight trade it for a 991.2 or 992! Plus it came with $45,620 in Porsche factory options and quite a bit of EXPEL PPF applied to it. Zero over-revs in all six ranges using my Durametric and I ran my Defelsko paint thickness gauge over the body to make sure even though it came from a Porsche dealer with CPO. The best part, I got to break it in the engine.
@@invictusporsche Well I am not on the track trying to win races where a PDK is beneficial. In the 5 years I have owned it, it now sits at just over 11K kms. I have motorcycles and I spend 5+ weeks in Europe riding the Alps and our summers are relatively short so those trips take away from driving back home. Plus I have a daily driver.
Basheer, I've watched you grow as a reviewer over time and this is a fab review. Even though I have had my 2015 GTS for a year now, I still love watching reviews of it and this is one of those I return to. Well done and keep them coming. Mine is Lava Orange but this Guards Red is awesome too. You've said it all - I love my GTS and the only one that could tempt me is the 991.1 GT3 but I will stick to the GTS and save my money 😀. Great Review!
I have the 981 Cayman equivalent, same spec / colour but with red stitching. This 991.1 GTS is the one I’m going to get, let me know if you have another one please!
The 991.2 and forward 4s is better choice. You can apply an inexpensive tune map for the gas power. The center locks are something you don’t want. So, you can get a gas for much less money. The gts does have stiffer gt shocks but those make for a harsh daily drive.
Love the spec on this one. If I was looking for a used 911 I"d definitely look for a 991.1 GTS.
They will be a future classic too
Thank you, what do you drive currently?

Couldn’t agree more. Have you driven one?
❤
Just here to reminisce over my 991.1 GTS. Can’t wait to get back to Montana to drive it.
I love this particular 911. You must have some phenomenal roads in Montana. Have always wanted to visit it

I’m warming up to the .2, I just feel at low speeds the .1 sounds better
Once you understand the dynamics of engineering required to create a .2 to sound like a .1 it is by far the pinnacle of engineering
Isn’t the .2 turbo vs NA on the .1? Wouldn’t you rather have the NA as it’s the last NA GTS
Gotta love those 991.1 with all seven buttons. Great video you’re the man!
Thank you Sean. Appreciate it
I would have to swap out those rear lights for red ones
I prefer the red too but some people upgrade them to clear lens

In manual they are amazing and very few of them here in UK

Hello, April is round the corner and you have chosen well, enjoy the car and make many memories in it

Manuals are rare in UK. You have a stunning spec and I hope you never sell it. How many miles have you done on it?

Thank you so much for the feedback. You car colour is special and I hope you enjoy it the way it should be. If you are ever near us, pop over
I definitely want one now! 😊

Will let you know mate. Keep an eye on our website too as they don’t hang around too long
I too also have a 981 Cayman GTS 6speed and I’m also eying a 991.1 GTS as my next car. Seems like it’s everything I love about my Cayman but better.
Probably the best and last experience to have in a NA Porsche 911.
I can’t disagree. Do you have a GTS?
❤ quality video....sound makes this car perfect.
Thank you. It took a while for us to capture the sound well. What do you drive?
You tellin me that all those burbles are stock sport exhaust system?
Yes sir. Have you driven one before?
@@invictusporsche Incredible! No I have not, but i do really hope i will own one sometime, it's such a nice car.
Le son est vraiment mélodieux… ❤
Love it too 😍
stunning car, great knowledge, you can tell your passionate about your cars
Thank you for the kind comment, I do love this GTS and will be a future classic

You are correct in everything there, I do prefer the centre locks
