The first cool ecology detail I saw is that Espinas hunts poison toads, presumably to add to its toxin count. It would be cool to discover other new ecology details like that! (Honestly even some from base rise as I didn’t know they were in Rise at all like they were in world)
Not very useful but Followers actually react to Emotes. Some of them are really into it like Hinoa. Other ones, like Minoto, are less inclined to join your Emotes.^^
So something I noticed, is that you can actually spot your buddies out in the field. By which I mean the Recon ones. So you could be hunting in a map and somewhere in the skybox near the buddy recon point you can see a kite flying in the sky. The kite also matches to which kind of buddy you used for that spot (so if you used a Palico it'll be the Diamond Kite and if you used a Palumute it'll be the rectangle) and as long as you don't actually use that buddy recon point during the hunt, you can still see the kite in the same spot. If you use the buddy recon, the kite disappears (since the recon point is a one time use). So nothing major but a very nice attention to detail moment.
@@mkv2718 Yeah they're the recon buddies. I had Meowcenaries in Sandy Plains and ran all over the map looking at the sky. Only place I spotted a kite was near the area I had my recon buddy. Also my meowcenary team is all doggos and the kite I saw in Sandy Plains was diamond because I use a Palico on recon there. Plus as I said, I used the recon point, saw my cat, then looked into the sky to see no kite. Plus to even further prove it was recon I went to several other maps (Shrine Ruins and Frost Islands to be specific) while my meowcenaries were still on Sandy Plains. Found the kites on both maps near the recon points I had active. Trust me, I spent a good 30 minutes confirming this stuff lol
Did You know? - You could knock of Khezu when she Stick on the roof by throwing kunai at her tail which creating vacum to support her body. -Also you could also knock Great Izuchi out of her "stick to the wall" move, by throwing kunai at her legs.
Probably the coolest detail i found in the game so far is that you are able to cut the threads of Rakna wich she uses to slide around the place and you can cut Pyre Kadakis explosion threads before they reach the Pyrantulas or I was daydreaming when it happened but i am quite sure that it works!
It does say that detail in the hunting notes. (Honestly it’s surprising people don’t take time to read them, helps in details for many monsters). So no, you aren’t daydreaming, you can do that. And if you are able to reach her (Insect Glaive and the ranges weapons can do it more frequently) if she is in the caves doing her spinning fire breath, you can make her fall when attacking the webs she holds herself up with.

A thing I discovered while fighting the magalas that the Antidobra cleanses the Frenzy. I was thinking that nulberries only delay the Frenzy and not cleanse it like other debuffs, I was under the impression the Antidobra would do the same, so i used one to delay the frenzy, But No, it just straight up clear the frenzy and give you the affinity buff. sadly you can still be reinfected with the Frenzy even if you still have the Antidobra ailment prevention buff, which is probably a good thing as it would likely mess up Bloodlust. Also the DoT caused by Bloodlust wont kill you like Derelictions DoT
Honestly the more I explore the Citadel, the more impressed I am with the design of the map! There are several tiny little nooks scattered all around the map, including tunnel passages, ice caves, cliff hideouts, a hole in a well, etc. The Citadel easily became one of my favorite maps of the series.
On one hand I can agree it's a great place to explore. Other hand if you're not exploring it's just a convoluted mess of a map. Wanna farm ore? Welp gotta jump into this hole, then run down the cave, and make sure you take a left at just the right moment or else you end up back where you started. Also make sure you bring bombs cause there are a number of walls that can be blown up. Going on a hunt and wanna collect spiribirds? They're all over the place so you gotta zig zag constantly. Citadel looks really great design wise but gameplay wise it's the worst map.
@@jaxman682 That's a strong point, especially with spriribirds. While the exorbitant amount of great wirebugs about the place makes it a little easier to get around to gather the sweet bird juices, they are scattered pretty wildly. Also most of the bushes seem to be in clusters of 3 opposed to the usual 6/7, resulting in less birds. So yeah, I can get behind the argument that as far as actual farming materials and gathering buffs/endemic, its a little less desirable.
One detail I’m sure others have noticed, the imports that Elgado receives are from Bherna and Yukumo, the other locations Rondine had pictures of in base Rise along with the Jungle. Also be sure to talk to the sailor. For some souvenirs.
@@Dtoszi you do get an award for collecting them. I believe you need at least one of each and/or a specific amount. Just remember to grab one in between quests when available and you should get it in no time
Now and then, Shagaru Magala will sit down and start emitting pulsations of the Frenzy, spreading it out with its wings. Seems innocuous at first, but when you remember that the species reproduces by infecting other monsters, using their bodies as vessels for Gores to grow in, it's a much more sinister motion.
That’s actually kind of weird because Shagaru wasn’t supposed to be able to make the frenzy virus anymore that was supposed to be a gore exclusive thing
@@technodude458 that's not the case exactly, if Shagaru couldn't produce the virus, then it wouldn't be able to cause the frenzy status in battle (which it clearly does). The lore states that Gore spreads the virus with the hair that grows on it's wings. Shagaru loses this hair, but still spreads the virus over a larger area through "unknown means".
@@sabsfazbear7592 from what I understand no. The lore never mentioned anything about the PRODUCTION of the virus, that's still a mystery. It only mentions the SPREADING mechanism for gore (wing hairs) and said Shagaru's is unknown. I still belive it would be better to do your own research tho, as I might be forgetting things
I don’t know if this is a secret, but a handy trick I’ve learned is that you can use a marionette spider to pull Khezu down off the ceiling when in a fight. I lot of times I’m not well equipped to do anything when he’s up there but now I have a good way to get him back on the ground.
Another cool thing I’ve found, is with the Narwa/Ibushi sets. You can mix n match 4 pieces for the set bonus, that gives +1 to all armor skills, and then this will apply also to whatever 5th piece of non Narwa/Ibushi you are using. Example, if you use 4 pieces of Narwa/Ibushi, and then use Malzeno coil, you get max lvl 3 bloodrite from that 1 piece. It can be used with a few other sets and set bonuses too in interesting ways
@@zoddsonofthor5576 Right??? Especially with element phials of dragon of thunder, love seeing phials hit over 600 each on some matchups. Only thing I wish is that the sets could be better with weps other than CB, the skills are pretty weapon specific.
I've been using mixed serpent with bow since I have a ballistics 2 - normal/rapid up 2 charm, and comfy bow is way nicer to me than dps bow. I've been considering getting full blood rite since it just removes some constitution and stam surge, and I could slot them in too.
@@ToasTFresh I love bloodrite, but I recommend only 1 or 2 points of bloodrite, with 2-3 points of recovery up. I personally prefer 1 bloodrite, 3 recovery up. This is really nice as it raises health regen from both blood rite, and blood blight in anomaly hunts, on top of boosting healing items too. Mostly just for the health regen though.
Souvenirs from the trader in Elgado. You need 20 to get an award. Doesn't have a yellow box above is head and is somewhat hidden. You can only try once after each quest, it isn't guaranteed you get any. You can sell them, or hold, for maybe an secret in the future.
i been pairing bubbly dance with coalescence for like maximum uptime for the skill since bubbly dance can easily be taken off by taking a hit or not dodging but can be reactivated by dodging , making niche little combo of high uptime against afflicted monsters i would like to throw out that its better to use a gourmet fish over a mega potion because your more often time left with more red health on being attacked and those fishes heal all red health and are unaffected by its healing debuff
Some Cool Easter eggs I found are that pictures are randomly seen around Elgado and the picture itself changes randomly like the boxes by the port, speaking about those boxes the sailor by them after quests has a chance to give you souvenirs and after collecting a certain number you get an award (I think 20). And finally after helping my friend through rise I found at that the low rank baggi quest randomly has the Wagon of the trader on the map!
Down the well in citadel in the little Castle Town Place is a bombable door that contains a few lockboxes for points. It's not a super important secret but it was handy to know about when the game gave me a quest to find some stately tableware or whatever it was
The "Use the Felvine!" buddy command for Palicoes (which isn't new) fills the Feline Fireworks bar by half when it's used. If you set the fireworks to the action bar, you can see the cooldown fill up. I think you may have to be in combat for it to kick in, though. This lets me fireworks monsters 2-3 times a hunt with a single palico, if I use it + felvine optimally asap. The end boss "G"'s tail cannot be cut in the first phase (so it doesn't get left behind, I guess). If you damage the tail a lot in phase 1, you can cut it with kunai right at the start of phase 2. I think it has about 20 hp remaining, so it takes a few, or maybe I've just missed. You can Puppet Spider a monster and yank it into another one, and it'll make the slammed-into monster mountable just like if you'd launched the monster while riding.
If you explore up and down the river that goes under the big citadel bridge, you'll find several gathering points hidden behind doors that you have to blow up with a barrel bomb and a hidden water way that will lead you up to the bottom of a well that you can then climb to reach the town ruins to the south of the Citadel proper. Also, partway up the well is a hole that leads to another bombable door with several account item gathering points, and past that, a path that takes you directly to the Relic Record 1. Also, to the west of the Second Camp on the Citadel, there's a fishing spot filled with high value account item fish. On the Jungle, the great wirebug directly up the cliff from the starter camp will take you within spitting distance of a spot with four large spiribird bushes with several spiribirds flying around them. The perfect spot to quickly prep for the hunt. In the top central area of the Jungle: Near a hollow trunk with a Great wirebug at the bottom of it, there's a mandragora gathering spot blocked off by a ring of thin trees. You can only access it via a particular crawlspace nearby.
You don't actually need to use a barrel bomb on the rock pile in the jungle to get to the hidden island. As long as you've placed the great wire bug there before you can just wire bug to the 2nd great wire bug in the air above the hole. Just have to be fast enough to interact with it as you fly by on your normal wire bug.
This is late but I dont see anyone else with a main comment about it. Maybe it's redundant. But the hunter notes on the monsters, actually give you tactics and tell you specifically how to fight / counter some of the monster moves. They seem to be more detailed in sunbreak, as to what tactics to use. I didnt realize there was so much about hunting the monsters tactically in the notes, I just thought they showed weaknesses etc. So now before every hunt I check to see if there's anything I need to know about the new fights.
Even more on the Sniff 'em Out, if you mark gathering spots (Herbs,ores) they appear Blue, not yellow. Endemics show up Yellow. good way to tell things apart and plot Spiribird routes for hunts
Yeah, to add to it, the Sniff "Em Out mark persists. So say you gathered a node already the mark on the map goes away, until the node respawns. Once the node respawns the mark gets added back to your map so you don't have to redo the command. Great for a long farming session.
Here's a tip: When setting up your item loadouts, only put one Mega demondrug and Mega Armorskin in your inventory, instead of the default 5 stack. That way the slot is freed up after you use it, and if you cart and need another you can just pop into the tent to restock your supplies.
One cool little thing I found was after doing a sub-quests for "Arena Master Arlow", I unlocked an outfit called the "Commission" outfit. It's actually the same outfit the Commander from MHW wore~
When using CB, you can keep your Condensed Element Slash (Glowy Sword) / Condensed Spinning Slash (Glowy Axe) state from one to the other if you quick swap while in Axe mode.
Number 8: it turns out Longswords can actually CUT TAILS OFF OF MONSTERS! Shocking, I know, but it turns out the weapon is extremely good at it, and LS players should probably start positioning themselves at the back of the monster in order to take them off more quickly.
Would have being more interesting if that comment didn't have a 10 kilometer beard . The whole "go to tails vs use flinch free crybabies" debacle is old as dirt and completely boring after 9999999999 repeats
Not much a secret, more like a QoL thing, but I suggest making a set with Chameleos blessing, Spiribird call, the Spiribird rampage skill, evade extender 3, hungerless 3, and master mounter to start out hunts with. Pick up some birds on your way to the nearest gold or ruby wirebug (or puppet spider), go grab your monster, finish the ride, then farcaster back to camp and swap into your main gear (If you have gold bug, don't farcaster back until the monster actually finishes its attack or you won't get your extra shinnies). This way you'll have maxed out your spiribird (Or gotten close) without having to waste time looking for them. You can also add like wide-range to give you partners/team mates demondrugs or armorskins.
I was discord streaming sunbreak last week, and two of my friends watching asked me what the dots on my mini map were. I told them it was with the sniff 'em out they added. Then later one friend asked where he can get the mod I'm using to show items on his map the mini map. I again had to tell him its not a mod, it's built into the game. I then proceeded to actually show it to them, cause I have a feeling they still didn't really believe me. Good times.
Also the tower in area 4, if you ram a monster into it, there are about 3 spiribirds hiding in there as you get two shiny drops which are random items.
Did you know that the skill swap dodge has a bigger roll than normal roll? It also stacks with evade extender and window so you can skill swap dodge huge distances if a wide monster attack comes your way
On Citadel with the double wire bug from the camp side to the middle of the map. When you land from the second wire bug in the sky hop up the small ledge that's Infront of you for a sleep toad everytime.
For some reason, just like the poses you can duck under some things while you are in special sheath as a ls user, thats why it made countering the crab beam so confusing for me at times even tho it clearly passed me.
There's a spot in the jungle map that I can't seem to figure out. It's at the very top, and there's this hole next to a mushroom surrounded by little trees and an invisible wall. Idk how to get in!?
well, if spiribird's call made more of them that could be nuts so you do a normal rout to get like half of the buffs or something and just get the rest as time passes so this is you don't have to run around but if you do you may get unlucky where the bird on your rout vanish so you wasted time or ones that weren't on your rout are given by the skill. are the birds you get in order of buffs or locations on a map random or set? that would be interesting to test or see in data mining. well that makes it a bit more fair, still goes against the gs identity though. the counter on the shielded weapons oftent have it so if you don't have guard up the silk bind won't work with those attacks. those silk binds are not like the stance lance gets where the skill is not needed, same for guard, but stamina drains over time rather than based on what you block with more chip damage while in it. yep guard up is can you block it or not is level 1 or not, for those specific attacks, the other levels just reduce chip damage. the 2 attacks from Rise 3.0, not 3 because no apex zinogre, still glitch through your guard even with level 3. those attacks being the all mother narwa's dragonators and valstrax's around the world/ambush.

6:49 I know there is one other place that looks like you can blow it up to reveal something... But I found it before I realized you can blow up stuff to reveal things and I now can't find it anywhere in the jungle map. It looks like a small pile of explodible rock that would open a path ya have to crawl through. If anyone can find it or figure out if it is explodible or not, or if it was just a rock the game temporarily place there to not allow to go somewhere for some reason (but I don't think modern monster hunter would do that) plz do tell
@@imalltheragex2000 There is a brewhare behind those destructible rocks, it's between area 1 and 5 next to the trapbugs. It's the only other destructible pile of rocks in the Jungle I can remember. There's just the brewhare though, so whether it's worth using a barrel bomb or wyvern fire to get it is debatable.
the palamute pouch might actually be essential for anyone using niche bowgun builds, like slicing, sticky, and cluster since we can only carry so few crafting materials and ammo for those ammo types. i may have to play around with that more, as while i knew about it, it didn’t occur to me that i could use that stuff in a hunt. hmm.. 🤔. viable cluster builds again?
having 8 extra slots from the palamute pouch is realy nice? you know camps arn't far away accept for the citadel.. if when the monster changes zones you quickly hop in and out of a camp you have a new empty collection bag. i think thats way more usefull then a doggo. sorry doggo.
spoiler warning for late story of sunbrake me think sperit birds call can just summon in spirit birds in to the map if non are present that 1 quest before the last boss fight where everything but the lunagaron is dead the skill effect was still triggering even tho theres no spirit birds in that quest
Maybe you should try to teach new players where to hit a monster. It still surprises me that people are attacking the wrong area depending on the weapon. Like Hammer and Hunting Horn. You bonk the head. Sharp weapons cuts tail.

My suggestion for an introspective video is why do players fail into the "Meta" mentality vs. The players that rock full sets they like and work with what they got. I hope this isn't too spicy, but I've never understood the mentality of making a meta set when the game isn't fun that way
Rememeber that "fun" is subjective. Personally I have fun making my non-meta sets and layered fashion to go with them, but I know some people who get the most enjoyment from big numbers and fastest hunt times. Often it's the same people that skip character creation or fashion sets. Nothing wrong with that. To each their own.
Capturing is faster and has a better chance at some rewards. Why don't you just say "kill quest" at the beginning of a hunt, instead of whining about it?
I don't know if it is just me or others also noticed, but Gore remains unnaturally long in the Zone to the North with the destroyed Castle on the Hill when fighting him there. I had him for about 10 Minutes straight in that Zone to the Point he was already close to death because not even 5 Minutes in the next Zone, the Blue Skull showed up
I think Gore in general takes a long time to leave a particular area. Once his feelings are out and the sky darkens, he will stay in that place for quite a bit

This is a good idea. I've seen people use blightbeetles, but it seems a little inconsistent from my experience
You can also just throw Kuni (Knives) at him
The kunai works, but you tend to have to land a lot in HR/MR
I usually just stand below him and get some wirebug counter off lol. Or I wait like 10 seconds.

Yeah I was doing that late in the base game. The amount of skills you can get is ridiculous.
I've been using mixed serpent with bow since I have a ballistics 2 - normal/rapid up 2 charm, and comfy bow is way nicer to me than dps bow. I've been considering getting full blood rite since it just removes some constitution and stam surge, and I could slot them in too.
@@ToasTFresh I love bloodrite, but I recommend only 1 or 2 points of bloodrite, with 2-3 points of recovery up. I personally prefer 1 bloodrite, 3 recovery up. This is really nice as it raises health regen from both blood rite, and blood blight in anomaly hunts, on top of boosting healing items too. Mostly just for the health regen though.
Souvenirs from the trader in Elgado. You need 20 to get an award. Doesn't have a yellow box above is head and is somewhat hidden. You can only try once after each quest, it isn't guaranteed you get any. You can sell them, or hold, for maybe an secret in the future.
Some of them have... interesting names and descriptions too.
My tip is to set the skill switch on your D-pad to make swapping super fast! (Instead of hitting L+X+A)
i been pairing bubbly dance with coalescence for like maximum uptime for the skill since bubbly dance can easily be taken off by taking a hit or not dodging but can be reactivated by dodging , making niche little combo of high uptime
against afflicted monsters i would like to throw out that its better to use a gourmet fish over a mega potion because your more often time left with more red health on being attacked and those fishes heal all red health and are unaffected by its healing debuff

I use the Palamute "Sniff em out" to permanently tag Ruby / Gold Wirebugs on the map and make Wyvern Rides pay even more dividends.
Some Cool Easter eggs I found are that pictures are randomly seen around Elgado and the picture itself changes randomly like the boxes by the port, speaking about those boxes the sailor by them after quests has a chance to give you souvenirs and after collecting a certain number you get an award (I think 20). And finally after helping my friend through rise I found at that the low rank baggi quest randomly has the Wagon of the trader on the map!
Down the well in citadel in the little Castle Town Place is a bombable door that contains a few lockboxes for points. It's not a super important secret but it was handy to know about when the game gave me a quest to find some stately tableware or whatever it was
There is also tableware for that quest under the small stone bridge right after you leave the starting camp
The "Use the Felvine!" buddy command for Palicoes (which isn't new) fills the Feline Fireworks bar by half when it's used. If you set the fireworks to the action bar, you can see the cooldown fill up. I think you may have to be in combat for it to kick in, though. This lets me fireworks monsters 2-3 times a hunt with a single palico, if I use it + felvine optimally asap.
The end boss "G"'s tail cannot be cut in the first phase (so it doesn't get left behind, I guess). If you damage the tail a lot in phase 1, you can cut it with kunai right at the start of phase 2. I think it has about 20 hp remaining, so it takes a few, or maybe I've just missed.
You can Puppet Spider a monster and yank it into another one, and it'll make the slammed-into monster mountable just like if you'd launched the monster while riding.
If you explore up and down the river that goes under the big citadel bridge, you'll find several gathering points hidden behind doors that you have to blow up with a barrel bomb and a hidden water way that will lead you up to the bottom of a well that you can then climb to reach the town ruins to the south of the Citadel proper. Also, partway up the well is a hole that leads to another bombable door with several account item gathering points, and past that, a path that takes you directly to the Relic Record 1.
Also, to the west of the Second Camp on the Citadel, there's a fishing spot filled with high value account item fish.
On the Jungle, the great wirebug directly up the cliff from the starter camp will take you within spitting distance of a spot with four large spiribird bushes with several spiribirds flying around them. The perfect spot to quickly prep for the hunt.
In the top central area of the Jungle: Near a hollow trunk with a Great wirebug at the bottom of it, there's a mandragora gathering spot blocked off by a ring of thin trees. You can only access it via a particular crawlspace nearby.

You don't actually need to use a barrel bomb on the rock pile in the jungle to get to the hidden island. As long as you've placed the great wire bug there before you can just wire bug to the 2nd great wire bug in the air above the hole. Just have to be fast enough to interact with it as you fly by on your normal wire bug.
This is late but I dont see anyone else with a main comment about it. Maybe it's redundant. But the hunter notes on the monsters, actually give you tactics and tell you specifically how to fight / counter some of the monster moves. They seem to be more detailed in sunbreak, as to what tactics to use. I didnt realize there was so much about hunting the monsters tactically in the notes, I just thought they showed weaknesses etc. So now before every hunt I check to see if there's anything I need to know about the new fights.
Even more on the Sniff 'em Out, if you mark gathering spots (Herbs,ores) they appear Blue, not yellow. Endemics show up Yellow. good way to tell things apart and plot Spiribird routes for hunts
Yeah, to add to it, the Sniff "Em Out mark persists. So say you gathered a node already the mark on the map goes away, until the node respawns. Once the node respawns the mark gets added back to your map so you don't have to redo the command. Great for a long farming session.
I love using the sniff out to find extra blastnuts for my palamute to hold onto, an extra stack of ordinance is always helpful
Here's a tip: When setting up your item loadouts, only put one Mega demondrug and Mega Armorskin in your inventory, instead of the default 5 stack. That way the slot is freed up after you use it, and if you cart and need another you can just pop into the tent to restock your supplies.

At 6:45 where you suggest the barrel bomb, I was surprised to find out that Gunlance Wyvern Fire can break it too.
One cool little thing I found was after doing a sub-quests for "Arena Master Arlow", I unlocked an outfit called the "Commission" outfit. It's actually the same outfit the Commander from MHW wore~

When using CB, you can keep your Condensed Element Slash (Glowy Sword) / Condensed Spinning Slash (Glowy Axe) state from one to the other if you quick swap while in Axe mode.
Number 8: it turns out Longswords can actually CUT TAILS OFF OF MONSTERS! Shocking, I know, but it turns out the weapon is extremely good at it, and LS players should probably start positioning themselves at the back of the monster in order to take them off more quickly.

Bird caller and Chemoleo’s blessing, then you can potentially get 4x buffs, Kinda overkill but it’s pretty fun!
Not much a secret, more like a QoL thing, but I suggest making a set with Chameleos blessing, Spiribird call, the Spiribird rampage skill, evade extender 3, hungerless 3, and master mounter to start out hunts with. Pick up some birds on your way to the nearest gold or ruby wirebug (or puppet spider), go grab your monster, finish the ride, then farcaster back to camp and swap into your main gear (If you have gold bug, don't farcaster back until the monster actually finishes its attack or you won't get your extra shinnies). This way you'll have maxed out your spiribird (Or gotten close) without having to waste time looking for them. You can also add like wide-range to give you partners/team mates demondrugs or armorskins.
I was discord streaming sunbreak last week, and two of my friends watching asked me what the dots on my mini map were. I told them it was with the sniff 'em out they added. Then later one friend asked where he can get the mod I'm using to show items on his map the mini map. I again had to tell him its not a mod, it's built into the game. I then proceeded to actually show it to them, cause I have a feeling they still didn't really believe me. Good times.
Also the tower in area 4, if you ram a monster into it, there are about 3 spiribirds hiding in there as you get two shiny drops which are random items.

Did you know that the skill swap dodge has a bigger roll than normal roll? It also stacks with evade extender and window so you can skill swap dodge huge distances if a wide monster attack comes your way

For some reason, just like the poses you can duck under some things while you are in special sheath as a ls user, thats why it made countering the crab beam so confusing for me at times even tho it clearly passed me.

All the bomb-able surfaces and such can be destroyed with a small barrel bomb the ones you can throw making it easier to avoid the explosions
There's a spot in the jungle map that I can't seem to figure out. It's at the very top, and there's this hole next to a mushroom surrounded by little trees and an invisible wall. Idk how to get in!?
There is a different entrance nearby to get to that mushroom, that hole is where you come out.

I just notice that when the palamute uses healing over time scroll if you get on him you'll heal too
well, if spiribird's call made more of them that could be nuts so you do a normal rout to get like half of the buffs or something and just get the rest as time passes so this is you don't have to run around but if you do you may get unlucky where the bird on your rout vanish so you wasted time or ones that weren't on your rout are given by the skill. are the birds you get in order of buffs or locations on a map random or set? that would be interesting to test or see in data mining.
well that makes it a bit more fair, still goes against the gs identity though. the counter on the shielded weapons oftent have it so if you don't have guard up the silk bind won't work with those attacks. those silk binds are not like the stance lance gets where the skill is not needed, same for guard, but stamina drains over time rather than based on what you block with more chip damage while in it.
yep guard up is can you block it or not is level 1 or not, for those specific attacks, the other levels just reduce chip damage. the 2 attacks from Rise 3.0, not 3 because no apex zinogre, still glitch through your guard even with level 3. those attacks being the all mother narwa's dragonators and valstrax's around the world/ambush.

6:49 I know there is one other place that looks like you can blow it up to reveal something... But I found it before I realized you can blow up stuff to reveal things and I now can't find it anywhere in the jungle map. It looks like a small pile of explodible rock that would open a path ya have to crawl through. If anyone can find it or figure out if it is explodible or not, or if it was just a rock the game temporarily place there to not allow to go somewhere for some reason (but I don't think modern monster hunter would do that) plz do tell

@@imalltheragex2000 There is a brewhare behind those destructible rocks, it's between area 1 and 5 next to the trapbugs. It's the only other destructible pile of rocks in the Jungle I can remember.
There's just the brewhare though, so whether it's worth using a barrel bomb or wyvern fire to get it is debatable.

the palamute pouch might actually be essential for anyone using niche bowgun builds, like slicing, sticky, and cluster since we can only carry so few crafting materials and ammo for those ammo types. i may have to play around with that more, as while i knew about it, it didn’t occur to me that i could use that stuff in a hunt. hmm.. 🤔. viable cluster builds again?
Only problem with that is you cant put things in the pouch before the hunt

me think sperit birds call can just summon in spirit birds in to the map if non are present that 1 quest before the last boss fight where everything but the lunagaron is dead the skill effect was still triggering even tho theres no spirit birds in that quest

My suggestion for an introspective video is why do players fail into the "Meta" mentality vs. The players that rock full sets they like and work with what they got.
I hope this isn't too spicy, but I've never understood the mentality of making a meta set when the game isn't fun that way
Rememeber that "fun" is subjective. Personally I have fun making my non-meta sets and layered fashion to go with them, but I know some people who get the most enjoyment from big numbers and fastest hunt times. Often it's the same people that skip character creation or fashion sets. Nothing wrong with that. To each their own.

Better chance at mantles on capture. They carve off tails at 1%/2% on a few versus 3% capture. That's mainly why this expac.

Capturing is faster and has a better chance at some rewards. Why don't you just say "kill quest" at the beginning of a hunt, instead of whining about it?
Also there’s a lot of side quests that require captured monsters, so people were probably going for that too!

I don't know if it is just me or others also noticed, but Gore remains unnaturally long in the Zone to the North with the destroyed Castle on the Hill when fighting him there.
I had him for about 10 Minutes straight in that Zone to the Point he was already close to death because not even 5 Minutes in the next Zone, the Blue Skull showed up
I think Gore in general takes a long time to leave a particular area. Once his feelings are out and the sky darkens, he will stay in that place for quite a bit
