The quirky art in the tiny room are known to be Minoto's drawing. Lore said that Minoto's art are quite popular outside of Kamura, it was treat as some kind of rare exotic merchandise.
I believe the drawing of the twins also is like that because Minoto admires Hinoa, so she's drawn well, but she drew herself as this weird inflatable tube thing.
2:30 you can send to your cahoot to actually attack Utsushi in offline mode and at 2:56 if you do the same thing the historian will hold out his staff for the cahoot to land for a moment and then send it off
If you want hub NPC interactions, some of my favourites are Luchika standing on the ledge over the quest gate (behind Utsushi) eating dango, but if you get close enough to her she'll finish it off really quickly and hide the skewer. Another is Jae hanging out with the Hell Hunters and having (losing) an eating contest against the Red Hell Hunter. Supy and Chichae's interactions are fantastic too. Edit: also, I've never seen anyone talk about it but you can climb all the way to the top of the main crane in Elgado. There's nothing up there but it's got a pretty decent view: th-cam.com/video/hunNnSBHPNw/w-d-xo.html
Something to note about the antidobra frenzy clear: If you run bloodlust, you can effectively use the antidobra as a max potion, this is because clearing the frenzy with bloodlust heals red health, and the antidobra clears frenzy. There have been many times where I was lagging behind my normal frenzy clear speeds, so I’d use an antidobra to fully heal myself and get my 20% affinity.
I think those paintings are from Minoto. She has dialogue where she tells us that she discovered that her paintings where popular and they wanted her to do some live painting. For me, one of the biggest tells it's from Minoto, is that everytime that Hinoa is in the drawing, she looks beautiful like some shoujo protagonist, while the rest looks like some hand puppets. There's anoher behind the quest counter where Hinoa is again really well drawn, while the rest are less detailed. Don't know about the palamute one in the window though.
Not sure if this has been included already but I just recently found out through a friend. There is a point in Elgado higher than the baby snowy cohort nest. Looking back from the nest towards where the big tent and Galleus and Fiorayne, there's a part of the castle and a wooden crane you can wirebug over to. The crane let's you walk all the way to the tip of it, out over the crater. It's super cool
One thing I like about the room customisation is that you can have different decoration and wall portraits in your Rise and Sunbreak rooms, so if you can't fit all your favourite models in one room, you can put the rest on the shelves in the other room. The only decorations that stay the same between both rooms are your photos. I tried putting new photos in my Sunbreak room and they replaced the photos in my Rise room.
Considering Antidobra are so common in Rise and can cure Frenzy, they’re probably single-handedly responsible for there not being a Frenzy outbreak during the events of the game
The Felyne Monarch layered armor is based on the painting you can get from a trade in the Argosy. The painting is called “Valliant Knight”, and it says “depicts a legendary Palico who devoted himself to the foundation of the Kingdom.” Basically, you’re making your Palico look like this said Palico knight.
@@melon3109 my guess? It’s probably a Palio of the Royal Family. Nothing specifically states this Palico is dead, just not present in Elgado. I don’t have the sticker to see who the Palico is paired with, but I’m guessing it might be Chichae’s Palico, even though she’s not a hunter, but it’s just a guess. Whoever is with that Palico in the sticker, it might belong to them.
there's stately storage boxes all over the place in the map, not just the well room (such as under the bridge immediately outside of camp, the belltower in the cliffside houses, and so on)
The drawing inside the palico house i believe is from Minoto the twin sisters drawing, and Hojo the palamute drawing, people in the Kingdom seems to really love Minoto's drawing in fact if you talk to her when she and her sister comes visiting Elgado, she claim that some people even come up to her and ask her for a live drawing. If you wondering why one is a potato and the other twin looks relatively normal its coz Minoto is such a siscon that she draws Hinoa as beautiful as she could, and the potato is herself.
Prettiest potato I've ever seen. I also framed it up in my room. Basically snap a pic of the painting. Put it in the kamura home frame, snap a pic of that and put it back again until it is zoomed in enough for it to seem like a framed painting and not a snapped pic of a painting.
Thank you for including my tip! I really wasn’t expecting that, and I know it’s can be pretty niche, but I hope this can help anyone! Also, this trick might work with the Quiros augmenting on armor, for the extra skills we can add on to the armors themselves.
Fun fact: if you put three of any figurines on the back table, it will appear in your starting screen (with your zenny, hours, hr/mr, and name). I personally still have Magnamalo and the two serpents on my back table, so I get to see them every time I hop out and into Rise. A fun endemic, especially while in the Citadel, is the blast toad. You don't even need the 1k wakeup damage, the toad itself guarantees a knockdown if you are in a pickle (unless the monster is resistance against blast and fire statuses). Just time it correctly and make sure the monster collides into the blast radius, it could save your life or give you time to sharpen.
I've got one for you: You can actually wirebug to and then climb to the very tip of the large crane(The one with a submarine dangling from it) in the back corner of the command post. Makes for a great posing spot for a guild card photo.
What I learned during this video: Antidobras are actually Classic Apex Monsters because they can just instantly overcome the frenzy effortlessly, what a chad.
The opening character select screen reflects your progress with your different characters. My main character is in the Elgado ship room with the three statues I put up on the desk in the background. I found that kind of neat.
Everyone keeps saying this is the place you get antique silverware but you can get that at the beginning of the map as well. Go to the bridge in the first zone and go underneath it and you have a chance to get it there too. I always get that item when I fall at times fighting a monster and just grab the box underneath that bridge.
It's a bit of a shame that during the frenzy virus/antidobra tidbit, it wasn't mentioned that it could completely heal and prevent bloodblight (which could be useful during some fights).
I like how if you take Fiorayne and Luchika on a quest together, Luchika will ask if Fiorayne is hurt anywhere. I don't know at what point this starts happening but I like to think she is being passive aggressive or poking fun at her
When Malzeno goes to recover his stamina, he will actually send his Qurio out to kill the small monster which will then fly back to him (and I think they like nestled into his fluffy chest? A team mate smacked him before I could see the end, but it looked that way). A very nice touch
Bahari’s assistant is literally just Draco Malfoy. Based Also fun fact about the drawing of the twins, that’s actually Minoto’s art. She’s known to draw her sister really well and herself as a thumb, which is hilarious because theyre identical twins! Apparently her work is super popular in elgado too.
Bubbly dance gives even more evade distance while active, I think I read somewhere that it's an extra two levels worth, but at any rate it's something I've been using since base rise, because I find the super long evades funny.
I don't know if anyone's already said this but no one has talked about it so it's either common knowledge or has gone unnoticed: the sap pool in the citadel has a use. Downed monsters in the sap pool will stay downed for longer as the sap slows them down when they're trying to get up.
You can actually tell what kind of item you're going to get from Pingarh based on what's in the docks. There are three items from each village they trade with, Kamura, Yukumo and Bherna. If items from Kamura have just come in, there will be boxes with the Kamura logo on and umbrellas from the umbrella merchant in the village. If it's Yukumo, there are little monkey pots (never played the game with Yukumo in so not sure of their significance) and if it's Bherna there are wooden pipes and I'm sure there are some other little village easter eggs in there if you look closely (and know the villages well)
I found it disappointing that Master Arlow and Jae don't have a special interaction on support surveys, given how Jae will be shadow boxing next to Master Arlow sometimes. It's also amazing the kind of punching strength master Arlow has in his old age.
Something people might not know. When talking to Nagi the Buddy Agent in Elgado pressing Y let’s you talk to the Palamutes and contributes to a guild card award.
Not sure if it's been commented before, but not only does Evade Extender increase the evade after a Switch Skill Swap, but also when you're wirebugging around. It increases the distance of that evade as well and is really handy to zip around the map faster.
As you exit the well sewer, go left downstream, there's a paratoad at the bottom of the steps on the right side and another storage box under the bridge further down.
Gore Magala. The creature behind the Frenzy! And it turns out all we had to do is slap an Antidobra and that just resolved everything. Would have made MH4U’s story seem ironic if the big threat’s biggest threat could have been slapped away so easily with a snake…
Another nice fact, You can decide how you're character select screen looks because you're hunter sits before the furniture you can place up to 3 statues ect.
A fun thing my friends and I found out recently is that you can elementally charge those wall crabs that you can throw monsters into by hitting them with an elemental weapon. Hit them with a fire weapon and they'll do fire damage, for example
I'm lazy and just yeet beetles at them before marionet spider wall banging. 5 wall beetles of damage vs 1 yeeted beetle, can setup as you enter the area.
So another thing for the Lottery statues. The Sunbreak introduced the bonus of the Golden Balls and such (a secondary reward to doing the lottery) and occasionally one of the statues will pop up there as a guaranteed reward for reaching a certain amount of lottery points. It's rare but it can occur.
If you send your cohoot at Utsushi while the Wyvernian is on his shoulder, it lands on the Wyvernian's staff. I said this on the last secrets video but the decorations on the desk are visable on you file select screen.
Hollow, the palico armor you showed up is in fact an old palico hero of the kingdom (apparently, as it has it's own portrait you can buy and set where you have the magnamalo painting). Also, running lv5 evade window and lv3 evade extender does grant no offensive bonus on paper, but turns monster hunter into a souls game because makes rolling through attacks so much reliable (even for me playing on the switch)
Can run 3&3 if you've got a decent bubblydance 3/3 talisman as well. Gives 2 evade window, 2 constitution after rolling 3x or dashing 4x to bubbleblight yourself
Sounds great actually, but only got a decent 3 evade window + wall running boost + lv4deco, so slotting that into my full malzeno set fit awesome, besides, makes my dumb self not spend half of the time dumping potions haha
Something I learned recently is that Quick Sheathe actually speeds up the GS Power Sheathe. Don't know if this has been mentioned in a previous episode but I only just learned it
For the art in the palico room check the other window (not sure) also try looking at the quest... kart? For more art. It's behind Chech on the outside of the structure she stands in.
On the Citadel map, i always go from the starting camp, through the well from the bottom, and when im out of the well, there is a tower at 30° angle, there is a Brewhare, from there up the wall for the Puppet Spider, back to the bridge for the Golden Wirebug, and i the end, i have a free mount with 100%more shinies, a lot of spiribirds, and a Balsttoad for extra damage. And sometimes the flower bushes next to the entrance of zone1 gives an extra Blastoad
thats Minoto's art Minoto is very harsh on herself but she admires Hinoe very much, thats why she draws Hinoe with such detail while drawing herself in a more simple manner
The bigger surprise about Andidobra is that the effect it gives is actually 3 minutes long status immunity. I always thought it just cures poison once and figured that's worthless to waste a helper box slot on.
During the beginning of sunbreak, there was a different drawing then the twins one. Then at about mid game, it just changed to the twins painting. So mabye it changes as the story progresses... I'm Mr 100 now and it hasn't changed since tho
There's a piece of artwork you can put up in the big frame of your room that's of the same felyne as the "Felyne Meownarch" set. I guess historically important for Elgado?
9:52 you actually missed the second half of the well secret, there is a second route out of the room with the stately storage boxes that leads to a Relic sword and a great wirebug
I try to grab an antidobra and pop it when I reach a monster when I run bloodlust and dereliction on my swaxe sets. This works well because you get the red health from dereliction back as well when you overcome the frenzy virus with bloodlust on.
oh yeah for the qurio for the ibushi and narwa set you can get them unlock 2 lvl 2/3 slot without any loss of armor value. mine all part unlock with lvl 1 and 2 slot. and head piece with lvl 3 and 2 slot. good luck grinding that.
Fun fact the Antidobra can cure bloodblight so if your fighting afflicted monsters you can use to cure the bloodbight when you have gotten all your health back from attack the monster
3:12 I actually did find this out on my own cuz I like to watch and see what dumb edgey stuff Utsushi gets up and I like to climb around Elgado, since it's more open compared to Kamura. Such an adorable thing carrying grandpa wyverian around.
I don't know if this was featured already, but for the longsword, you can sheath as you finish the reckoning combo. Can be good if you really like using the double slash.
I believe we saw that little "trick" in one of the gameplay Videos before but if you instead of kicking the scale lizard, rock lizard etc and throw kunai at them, they drop 3 shinies instead of one. Im not sure if that was mentioned in a previous video here but it was randomly shown in a gameplay video with Josh and Cotton but not even mentioned
Its a known trick even in base rise. I remember that they did it in a video, but i dont remember if its a proob playthrough or not. But they definitely did the trick back then.
Antidobra can cure the Frenzy... the lore implications of this discovery... what does this little snake have stored in its body, that completely nullifies one of (if not) the deadliest plagues to ever face the Monster Hunter world?
That antidobra tip was awesome ps with the new room this also means we have 2 customizable rooms some people seem to not realize they can go back to Kamura village and they think it's just gone according to cottons hot takes videos
Sometimes you can actually find the palico sleeping up in that lil' room! Im guessing it may be random. I'm not sure how to replicate it. But one of the times I went up there he was sleeping.
For the secret room with the tableware in the Citadel, if you go back into the area with the Lanternbug there's another way out that takes you to a Relic and a set of Jewel Lilies.
12:05 Not sure if it was mentioned in the comments, but if you load in from elgado, the scenery behind you on the save select screen changes based on the statues you picked for the desk.
i did hear about the cutting pyre rakna's web fuses but haven't gotten the chance to try it myself, nice to see some footage of the animation. yes, it is an evade so evade extender should work. i'd be more surprised if it didn't work. what, those cleanse frenzy? um ok... huh it doesn't erase it entirely, instead it's considered beating it? what the shit? that makes those thins a lot more useful.
You could cut the kadkis silk in rise too. You are intended to as part of the fights mechanics just to stop them from constantly moving around. How do so many people not know this ;-; it changes the fight quite a bit ;-;

There's a piece of artwork you can put up in the big frame of your room that's of the same felyne as the "Felyne Meownarch" set. I guess historically important for Elgado?
Did you know: Hinoa returns a "Blow Kiss" Emote with a "Blow Kiss" Emote of her own?
Antique tableware you can also be find right at the start under the first bridge from the main camp
The thing i realized after 380 hours in Rise. When using gathering palico - set them to Large Only, so they will use pilfer only on large monster.
3:15 also if you send your Cohoot at them, it lands on Pasapato's cane
That tiny room might be a little hide away for chiche if you look on the side of her cart she has a similar drawing of hinoa and minito on it
Fun fact the Antidobra can cure bloodblight so if your fighting afflicted monsters you can use to cure the bloodbight when you have gotten all your health back from attack the monster
3:12 I actually did find this out on my own cuz I like to watch and see what dumb edgey stuff Utsushi gets up and I like to climb around Elgado, since it's more open compared to Kamura. Such an adorable thing carrying grandpa wyverian around.
I had noticed the old man missing from time to time, but I had no idea where he went
I don't know if this was featured already, but for the longsword, you can sheath as you finish the reckoning combo. Can be good if you really like using the double slash.
That royal cat armor has a picture you can put in your room over the informant
there is also one of those boxes with the antique tableware Under the Bridge
The assistant for bahari inside the room you see them there's a Rajangs horn(probably not) and a Rathalos severed tail.
In the desk in your room if you place statues the will also be seen when your selecting your game save file at the menu screen
actually, there is a chance that the assistant palico can be sleeping in that room on the bench, so assuming it's him that's been drawing those
I got pretty good results from a Narwa-Ibushi mix and a Shagaru helm for dragon bows!
That anticobra one just gave my build a massive boost
Oh I saw the art in there but indeed it was a different picture than the shrine maidens for me. the palamute was the same tho.
Gamer dog glasses are from the Espinas layered armor set, if anyone was looking to use them! 😎
Antidobra not only works with frenzy, it also blocks bloodblight from malzeno o afflicted monsters
Sometimes you can actually find the palico sleeping up in that lil' room! Im guessing it may be random. I'm not sure how to replicate it. But one of the times I went up there he was sleeping.
One nice thing about customising you're room is that statues you place near the window wil appear in the save file select screen
Love the Gamer Knight Dog.
One small tip for the Antidobra: you can also get rid of the bloodblight immediately
For the secret room with the tableware in the Citadel, if you go back into the area with the Lanternbug there's another way out that takes you to a Relic and a set of Jewel Lilies.
You can get tableware under the bridge right out side of the main camp.
There are multiple doors that require exploding in the citadel, there is another one under the bridge to the castle.
12:05 Not sure if it was mentioned in the comments, but if you load in from elgado, the scenery behind you on the save select screen changes based on the statues you picked for the desk.
There’s a cute secret in your room, the housekeeper will play with toys
i did hear about the cutting pyre rakna's web fuses but haven't gotten the chance to try it myself, nice to see some footage of the animation.
yes, it is an evade so evade extender should work. i'd be more surprised if it didn't work.
what, those cleanse frenzy? um ok... huh it doesn't erase it entirely, instead it's considered beating it? what the shit? that makes those thins a lot more useful.
You could cut the kadkis silk in rise too. You are intended to as part of the fights mechanics just to stop them from constantly moving around. How do so many people not know this ;-; it changes the fight quite a bit ;-;
Cuz destroying it's abdomen prevents this interaction
The art is Minoto's art, she draws everyone like a potato except for her sister. You see more art on Chichae's post and by the Dango shop.
Love antidobra and use them all the time and even I didn't know about the frenzy trick.
