@KWASTEK, did you find any information in the manual to hint at the M.2 slot's lane assignment and whether its full bandwidth directly from the CPU or not? The port should say "Ultra M.2" on it but it doesn't.

You never showed the back of the board. Your video and other photos I've seen show what appears to be holes in the board for the old AM3 cooler mounting holes. The new plastic bars use the AM4 spaced holes and cover what appear to be the old spaced holes. Could you confirm if the metal plate behind the board has 8 threaded holes or not (maybe post a photo)?

Great images of the board! I just preordered mine today along with an 1800X and I can't wait to get them! Disappointed you didn't show the back side of the board though, there's one detail that has been brought up on the AMD subreddit that a lot of people want to know - it looks like there are AM3 mounting holes under the edges of the AM4 heatsink brackets, and those of us with AM3 compatible water blocks and heatsinks want to know if it truly does have these AM3 mounting holes or not. If we could see the reverse side of the board it should be obvious whether or not it has them. I need to know whether I need to buy an AM4 kit for my waterblock or if I can use the AM3 kit I already have. Also wondering if the I/O shield can be removed without damage. At very least I want to take a peek at the chips under it, as I'm interested in reverse engineering the Aura controller and get the RGB lighting working on Linux. Pairing it up with Trident Z RGB RAM so I'd like to figure out how that works too.

I want *definite* factual information, not "probably". A lot of AMD's desktop CPUs in the past had ECC support, so it's not unreasonable to hope Ryzen does too, also since Naples and Ryzen are based on the same design. It would be really bitter if Ryzen doesn't, especially in light of ever-increasing amounts of RAM, where it becomes more and more important to have it. But yeah, if it really doesn't, then Naples (if I want to wait yet again) or Xeon are my only options. :/
I am definitely going to consider this mobo when I build my Ryzen in 2 weeks but it will come down to price, I saw one rumor where it was $300 plus, at that point I am not sure. Personally I want a Sabertooth TUF board in AM4.

I'd still like to know how these connectors are internally connected. doesn't Ryzen have "only" support for 2 usb 3.1 ports? is the usb 3.1 header connected to a seperate usb 3.1 controller?

Sorry about that, that was another colleague. If you listen to what I said, I said the 'hero' sits in the lower end of the ROG scale not this board in particular. When the hero was first introduced to the ROG line-up it was the entry level motherboard. Since then the ranger has taken its place. That was the meaning behind my comment, besides that after this video was released the extreme had been released and I knew it was coming when i did this video. So I was somewhat hinting at that release also. I hope that clears things up for you?
I was under the impression it was for a wireless card. if you look at the I/O shield. it has two spots that would be directly in front of the PCIe slot that say antennae

I hear people say this is the first of the ROG series for AMD but I believe it will be the same as they did with the FX just a better looking version. In my opinion this will be the top tier board from asus along with the TUF Series mobo. Gigabytes board is the 5 from the lineup of G1 Gaming and it shows as the components in the Vrm Caps chokes and so on are cheap. Showing that once again AMD is not being taken seriously as we all know all the vendors have already seen the performance of the processors. I hope im wrong but it doesn't change the fact that this is the most promise we have seen from amd in years and we can actually help make them competitive again if we boycott intel products in the consumer gaming sections.

Use a rubber band to pull the camera when you do the pans if you dont have a motorized mount. It removes the jerkines of the shot.

My guess is that they haven't shown the Crosshair VI Formula yet. Could be coming later down the road.
