Firstly you can check if your VGA bios is flashed. Get GPU-z to check the clocks: -gpu clock (base) should be for you 1506 MHz -boost clock should be 1683 MHz -mem clock should be 2002 MHz (8Gbps effective speed) And you can press on the lookup button on top right. If not I recommend you to try to use SignalRGB‚ as with Asus software I've had badluck until now.

Hi i got a question i got an rx 580 sapphire nitro + 8gb am i broke the bios switch and now its stuck on the normal bios, and i want to flash the bios to the 1411mhz like the other bios, you think this is a good ideea?

@@KSword007 yeah. I know, the problem is if it doesn't have the correct vBIOS, it will not output the image after installing AMD's official drivers, some will not output even without drivers. When I flashed the first time the GPU I used in this video, I used the wrong BIOS, and it was not outputting the image with AMD's drivers installed. Also, if you will flash a new BIOS on those 2048sp GPUs, you have to match the memory vendor too, so you will have to disassemble the cooler if you want to be 100% sure what Memory vendor the GPU has. You'll have to do that for both. And in case you have an iGPU on your PC, you could use the iGPU to output in case the flashed BIOS can't display images even without Drivers.
Your Bios, Vram or BGA is going bad. The cards are garbage. You can try to blast them with some heat, but just because you hear the windows chime dont mean shit, you can boot windows 10 without a gpu and get the same result. The cards will black screen when you load up drivers? The Vram is bad, the bios chip is bad or the cold solder behind the GPU has broken off due to constant heat and re-heat cycles. You might be able to blast it with some heat, like throw it in a oven and fix the borken cold solder. Works about 50% of the time. Keep in mind in the future, when a GPU behaves like this, it is no longer going to work properly. The GPU is in "limp mode" like a car with the check engine light.

@@Davidut366 you gotta check what memories your GPU has. For REV 1.1 there are Micron and SkHynix. For the Micron version, I see that there are 2 versions FZ3 and F93. Nice video bro btw i need help I just flash my rx470 mining. The display just show 20sec after it bootup to window then it just go black screen what should i do ?
Hmm what model of RX 470 is that?
Bro i bought a asus strix 1070 . But its rgb lights not tuning on . I think it used for mining and all lights turned off by miner because heat problems . Can i fix this flashing my gpu bios
Firstly you can check if your VGA bios is flashed. Get GPU-z to check the clocks:
-gpu clock (base) should be for you 1506 MHz
-boost clock should be 1683 MHz
-mem clock should be 2002 MHz (8Gbps effective speed)
And you can press on the lookup button on top right. If that button sends you to the right page of your GPU‚ it should be alright.
BTW try to check the RGB connectors to see if there is any cable disconnected. If not I recommend you to try to use SignalRGB‚ as with Asus software I've had badluck until now.

Hey guys I don't know why but my hackintosh doesn't see my used GPU that I've buyed from an used store, the card was from a miner I think because on windows works fine but on hackintosh not.
The Rx 580 is a compatible 100% hardware for hackintosh build.
I think there is a custom Bios on it which it may the reason why on macOS the card won't work and I get black screen or freezed, this video can go back to original stock BIOS of the sapphire RX 580 8GB?

It is a Sapphire nitro? If yes can you try by using the secondary bios? Some miners just flashed only the performance bios. Also‚ you can use GPU-Z to watch what frequency you have for GPU and VRAM.

If the page says something like unknown model or something like that 100% there is a custom bios flashed. And default clocks for OC'ed bios (or performance bios) should be 1411 for core clock and 2000 for mem clock. On silent bios core clock should be 1340 and 2000 for mem clock.

For some reason the display is not quite right, it has random tiny green dots showing up but popping out randomly like tv noise when not picking signal right and quite a lot, not obvious because its so small, but when the screen show darker image its much more noticeable
Is it on the mining bios possibly? Should i reflash it?
I am not 100% sure in this case. Sometimes‚ wrong frequency can make the GPU show artifacts. Sometimes it could be a sign of its end being closer. Though could you tell me what clocks do you have on this GPU?

@@linggarprasetyo4201 It is a bit hard to tell if it is 100% the original bios on it. But usually, I am looking for the GPU Core Clock and Mem Clock in GPU-Z software and then I compare the clocks to the ones that are listed on manufacturer website or Techpowerup spec page of that GPU.
Also, when you go on Advanced tab on GPU-Z you will havedrop-downown menu‚ there you have to go to AMD Bios.
And here you will have a Part # from what I've seen with recent GPUs from Sapphire‚ that doesn't match with the one that is labled on the GPU's shroud sticker.
But you might check that one too‚ if they match and the clocks matched with the ones specified by the manufacturer it is 100% the OG bios. If the clocks match but the Part # doesn't it might be a different one or not (as in case of Sapphire's more recent GPUs).

Hello Mirel, thanks for the video
I have a question, i saw a similar video where someone force flashes an rx 5700 with a rx 5700 xt in a similar way, but they use -unlockrom 0 before running the flash to force flash it, instead of using -fp like here, do both methods work or should i use the one here since the video is more recent?
To be fair‚ I am not really sure‚ I always used -fp for R9 380x and RX 400/500 GPUs. Probably with Navi GPUs they changed the commands for flash tool.
Hi, how do i know if i have mining or gaming bios on my gpu
Try to use GPU-Z from techpowerup. Then press on lookup button. In theory, it should send you to an official specs page from techpowerup for your GPU. And at the same time, GPU clock and GPU mem clock should match the ones specified by your vendor.
Hi i got a question i got an rx 580 sapphire nitro + 8gb am i broke the bios switch and now its stuck on the normal bios, and i want to flash the bios to the 1411mhz like the other bios, you think this is a good ideea?
It should work but in case of instabilities, or even flashing the wrong BIOS, I recommend you to have an iGPU or a secondary GPU to be able to flashback your RX 580 in case you get no output from it.
Don't forget to make a backup to your present stock BIOS.
Also, if you're skilled at soldering, try to replace the switch.
I'd suggest using the 2.93 version, since the rx 580 is an old card. I force flashed mine using it, now It's working great. If you're not having any issues with the quiet bios then I wouldn't recommend flashing them to the performance ones since there's not much of a difference.

Btw the mining bios was sitting on 40c to 66c on some games but the stock reach 72x

@@KSword007 could be a mining BIOS or just a bad BIOS the guys have flashed onto that GPU. You could try to search on techpowerup for such situations, some guys succeeded in fixing those GPUs, and some didn't.
It could work to flash an RX 570 BIOS (usually you have to find a GPU that could match the Outputs of your RX 580 2048sp), but it isn't guaranteed.
@@MirelRC The cards DO work, as even when they black screen, Windows boots properly and I hear the startup chime.

For the Micron version, I see that there are 2 versions FZ3 and F93. Theoretically, if your GPU had F90 - F92, you have to use the F93, for FZ0 - FZ2, you have to use FZ3. How to check if my second hand gpu use for minimg?
The only way I know is to use GPU-Z.
There are 2 ways of telling that.
One by looking at clocks:
GPU clock
Memory
Boost
All 3 should match what the values your model has specified by the manufacturer.
And a second thing would be by pressing on "Lookup" button on top right in GPU-z.
Also, I think that there could be another way of checking if the GPU has S/N or P/N written on it and then check the S/N or P/N with amdvbflash GUI tool.
