I have the same exact GPU (Sapphire nitro+) and its a beast still now. RDR2 in 1440p i get 35-40 fps high settings and 60 fps in 1080p. Its crazy for its price.
I bought one for 79 dollars new last year...Runs RDR2, Cyberpunk 2077, and Elden Ring at 60+ FPS on Max settings. Gonna Upgrade the whole rig this year...But I love my 580
Genuinely surprised you didnt benchmark it using games that a majority of people are playing right now. COD, Fortnite, Apex, Marvel Rivals, even demanding games like Last of Us and Alan Wake 2 just to see what the performance would be. But great video nonetheless.
I just bought a rx 580 sapphire nitro+ it will be enough for some time, I will have to save money for a few months (maybe even a year, because I am building a computer from scratch) for rx 9070xt or rx 5070 ti
Very true - it's one of the cheapest things out there, surprising for it's price but, of course it's better to add a bit more and get something more powerful
What drivers did you use? Because the newest one is probably from August 2024.(Win 10 64bit)Unfortunately, we won't be able to run the new Indiana Jones on this GPU.reserved for RTX
Yes you will get more FPS, depending on a game, but it won't be much. In some cases even 10fps, but mainly as @milanlen3008 said it will be around 5. Still it's something
RX580 is a great GPU. It's just that AMD no longer supports driver updates for polaris and only goes up to DirectX 12 (12.0)☠ Even GTX1050ti (2016) which is older than RX580 (2017) , is still getting DirectX 12 (12.1) driver updates this year.🤣🤣
@@JacekSopotnicki Is it still worth buying the rx 580 even though it lost support? It destroys the gtx 1650 (which is still supported) in terms of performance
wtf is this video? is in 2025 a old card a gaming beast... yet you use super old games... make a video "can a old gpu play old games" your your shadow of the tomb raider in this 2025 video is a video game that came out on 2013 consoles so weak computers in 2013 ... your bearly 2023 game has only nearly 2 years after relase less then 2k reviews on steam... a better video would test newer and more popular games even at low res and setting things ppl are actualy playing...

Exactly! It may lack some of the modern features but for gaming it offers amazing value, practically impossible to beat.

Its really a helpful video
Still available new from Best Buy (even in store at some locations!) over here in the U.S.
I love hunting for opportunities in Bestbuy (when visiting US). And the fact it’s still available is a clear proof - it’s great
By the way one guy managed to buy brand new PS3 game in Mexico
This gpu is for older games and esports games thats it the 6600 and 3060 is what people should get
I had 3060TI and honestly it seems like the best choice for 99% of people. Or 6600 as you said, but I didn't have any personal experience with it yet.
I been using this gpu since 2019, hey even 4GB vram model :D
It's been nice gpu to keep, but it started to show its age. Its ok for older gaming
Yeah, it's true that some of the newer games will struggle and may soon not be supported. I'll be testing newer AMD, budget options soon
"Love this breakdown! Would you recommend the RX 580 for someone building a cheap gaming rig in 2025
I would recommend an RX 580 8gb but make sure it's not a 2048sp
RX 580 = Budget legend 👑

If your budget is $50 then sure. Would heavily push someone to get a used 6600/2060 for like 80-100$ on marketplace over this card

Great review
Now i wanted to get this to pair with my Ryzen 5 3400g.
I have the same gpu. Is yours power limited to 160w in gpuz? Mine is for some reason
I don't have it anymore to check, but I don't remember it to be the case
For 1080p gaming , this card is a Beast specially due to it Vram and price to performance , im still rocking one i brought year ago for 61$ asus dual
That's amazing! 61USD for a card that can play practically anything. So good that there are great budget options out there
"Great video! Curious if you’ve tested how it handles newer titles like Starfield or Cyberpunk 2077
The RX 580 has stood the test of time, but I wonder how it stacks up against today’s entry-level GPUs.

Hi! To be specific: 31.0.21921.1000 / The thing with Indiana Jones sounds bad, but...
"Can we all agree the RX 580 deserves a hall-of-fame spot for budget gaming GPUs
Can i get better performance with ryzen 7 5700G and this gpu ?
(Sorry for bad English)
it depends on the games which rely more on CPU,2-5 fps plus minus

What is the best lans do you use
I love Samyang 50mm f.14 second version
"Does anyone else think the RX 580 was ahead of its time? Still performs like a champ in 2025
My son have RX480 and it still runs Fortnite with high fps.
"Watching this makes me nostalgic for when I first built my PC with an RX 580. Still a budget beast in 2025

Awesome, it still holds up pretty well
RX 580 is the real MVP of GPUs
