Pair Eating Salmon, Sardines, Spirulina, and Chlorella.....for 40yrs....and you will have people thinking you are 20 years younger than you are. This has been my experience
Me too. Old man here who eats sardines, salmon, spirulina, fruits and veg for last 40 yrs. Also walk or run a few miles a day, work out 200 push-ups a day, weights. People guess my age as 45-50. Shocked when they learn my real age, 68.
@ I helped develop spirulina production and food applications, FDA GRAS from 1978 to 2018. Most people and animals benefit from only a small quantity. Just a couple of grams a few times a week, is needed for long term benefits. The amounts found in some popular juice smoothie products are good. The most bioactive component is the dark blue biliverdin(also called phycocyanin). Biliverdin is a water soluble substance your body also produces naturally, and spirulina is loaded with it. Biliverdin is a safe yet highly potent antiinflammatory antioxidant and more. See wikipedia: “Bile pigments such as biliverdin possess significant anti-mutagenic and antioxidant properties and therefore, may fulfil a useful physiological function. Biliverdin and bilirubin have been shown to be potent scavengers of hydroperoxyl radicals.”
@ Just as with any other natural food, strawberries, peanuts, wheat, there are persons who can be allergic to spirulina. For the vast majority there is not problem.

Yes, vegetable oils like canola, soybean, and other polyunsaturated oils are prone to oxidation due to their high levels of omega-6 fatty acids and low antioxidant content. When these oils oxidize, they generate free radicals and lipid peroxides, which can have several effects: 1. Oxidative Stress: The free radicals and oxidized lipids can promote oxidative stress in the body, potentially damaging cells, proteins, and DNA. 2. Competition with DHA and EPA: Omega-6 fatty acids in vegetable oils can compete with omega-3 fatty acids (like DHA and EPA in fish oil) for incorporation into cell membranes and enzymatic pathways. This competition can reduce the availability and efficacy of DHA and EPA. 3. Imbalance in Omega Ratios: A diet high in omega-6 and low in omega-3 contributes to an imbalanced omega-6 to omega-3 ratio, which is linked to inflammation and chronic diseases. If you're consuming fish oil or other sources of omega-3, minimizing the intake of heavily processed vegetable oils and focusing on stable fats (e.g., olive oil, avocado oil, or coconut oil) can help reduce oxidative competition and support overall health.
This worked wonders for me. I started eating more salmon and sardines. I started taking a fish oil supplement. I also minimized seed oils. I had a terrible ratio.
cod liver in cod liver oil tends to have huge amounts of omega 3, the can i got says 16g per can, 100g can. quiet a significant amount. i imagine even eating this can once or twice a week would be more than takin supplement daily in the standard doze of 1g per pill. also you get other nutrients from the liver like high amounts of vitamind D and A and some more plus minerals. its only like 5$ per can. so 10$ weekly totally worth it.
In March, I came down with AFib, leading to a Heart Ablation in October. I've wanted to start fish oil supplementation but kept running in to reports that fish oil supplementation can induce AFib attacks or even cause AFib. Do you two have any information on this subject?
I started getting palpitations after taking fish oil. I realized it was the only thing I recently changed and searched to see if there might be a connection. I was surprised to see that it can lead to palpitations in some people. I really wish the potential was mentioned more often when recommending fish oil to people.
I was recently reading about this connection to Afib. It seems there is some nexus involving electrolytes that may be responsible for fish oil induced Afib. Also, I believe fish oil only caused Afib at high heart rates, ie exercise. I’m not a doctor, so do your homework.
Why are you still shilling for LMNT? Up to 500mg of hidden Maltodextrin in 'Natural Flavors'. This is the stuff you teach us to watch out for and should at least pause them as a sponsor until they can get their act together..
Krill oil has the Astraxanthin which is an antioxidant. But it's very low in omega 3s, even the brands that add omega 3s to boost them. I do both and it's proven that we need around 3600 mg of omega 3s every day not just fish oil. Read your labels and aim for a total between the 2 types of omega 3s. If you can afford the triglyceride type it is better absorbed by our bodies.
So which brand fish oil does Dr. Rhonda recommend? I currently take Carlson wild caught liquid fish oil. I heard on one of your other interviews most if not all fish oil ends up being ranced. Thanks in advance Thomas Delauer.

The human body can synthesis DHA and EPA from flaxseed oil. The conversion rate is low but is greatly enhanced by blending with cottage cheese using an immersion blender to make Budwig protocol cream. This is because when mixed the sulfur protiens in the cottage cheese bind to the electron rich unsaturated fats in the flax oil making them more water soluble thus enhancing bioavailability and conversion to DHA and EPA.The benefit of having The body synthesis its own DHA and EPA is it doesn't oxidize as easily as DHA and EPA from fish oil.DHA and EPA from fish oil are prone to oxidative damage, which can produce harmful byproducts if not properly stabilized or stored. In contrast, when synthesized endogenously, these fatty acids are integrated directly into cell membranes and used where needed, minimizing exposure to oxidative stress. 1. Genetic Factors: Some genetic variations, especially in the FADS1 and FADS2 genes, affect the efficiency of conversion enzymes. Studies suggest that up to 25-40% of people may have limited or impaired ability to convert ALA to EPA and DHA due to genetics. 2. I had an Omega 3 panel performed by Quest. My Omega 3 total was 7.7 but it included DPA in addition to EPA and DHA. Everyone I hear talking about the Omega 3 index only mentions EPA and DHA, so I guess I need to subtract out the DPA (1.9). Omega 3 Total with DPA: 7.7 Omega 3 Index (w/o DPA): 5.8 Please comment if you know about DPA.
The guest's scattered, disjointed presentation style is annoying. When her expertise hits a wall she just changes direction, like when she was going to explain about mitochondria having "TWO membranes", and then...no, not doing that, with no explanation. In a staged setting, I regard a speaker who does that as a poser, and promptly DISregard his expertise.
Her voice can get quite annoying while listening in the background. Elevating her volume level unnecessarily. It's as if she's on a stage rather than literally 2-3 ft from the person she's speaking to.
@bubby372 Can't imagine why she would consider it a good idea to utilize a vocal technique during conversation with someone that is right in front of her.

Thomas is way ahead of the Dr.
@petebarber6778 I'm sure there are many opinions. Wouldn't it be good for them to have a conversation?
Greger is a loon. If you want to look like him; go for it.
@@scottg5588 Sounds like you want to attack him?
Steroids?

I had an Omega 3 panel performed by Quest. My Omega 3 total was 7.7 but it included DPA in addition to EPA and DHA.
Everyone I hear talking about the Omega 3 index only mentions EPA and DHA, so I guess I need to subtract out the DPA (1.9).
Omega 3 Total with DPA: 7.7
Omega 3 Index (w/o DPA): 5.8
Please comment if you know about DPA.
I knew Heavy Metal was good for the brain. 🎸🎶
REM sleep completely heals your mind and body , if that’s happening that’s a great thing
Favorite band?
Are you two really that close to one another or is the video edited? 😂
sardines
Glad Rogan doesn't have her on anymore.
Why are you still pushing that garbage LMNT?
I can’t totally trust his opinion on anything after the maltodextrin coverup on LMNT.
LMNT really????
The guest's scattered, disjointed presentation style is annoying. When her expertise hits a wall she just changes direction, like when she was going to explain about mitochondria having "TWO membranes", and then...no, not doing that, with no explanation. In a staged setting, I regard a speaker who does that as a poser, and promptly DISregard his expertise.
How does such a smart woman say “like” three times a sentence? 😂😊
She's from So. Cal.
Her voice can get quite annoying while listening in the background. Elevating her volume level unnecessarily. It's as if she's on a stage rather than literally 2-3 ft from the person she's speaking to.
Vocal fry.
@bubby372 Can't imagine why she would consider it a good idea to utilize a vocal technique during conversation with someone that is right in front of her.
She’s fine lay off
@@JakeB-Real It's an observation which I'm sure you can hear. She's also doing it intentionally.
Some people are thankful for the gold. Others, like yourself -it seems- just see the dirt around the gold. Adjust your focus. We're all human.
