John Otieno actually, no, he was generally sympathetic and kind to kids. The people he didn't like were complacent and pretentious people - and kids are generally too innocent for those traits to be engrained.

People freak out so much because they have this weird idea that children are "pure," but they also made up arbitrary rules for what purity means, and get upset if a child crosses them. Lots of kids masturbate, and House is so dead on about the appropriate response to that--just teach them about privacy. Boom, discomfort solved.

It’s likely what contributed to the Satanic Panic; hearing a kid say “Tyler let me touch his unit,” you’d think at first that it must mean that the daycare is promoting child sex. But the truth is that small kids don’t really grasp taboos. The more likely scenario is that Tyler was all “wanna see my unit?” and while showing it the other kid went “that’s so weird! Can I touch it?”

Epilepsy is horrifying. My old friends mother has it, I was 13 when she had a seizure in front of me. She was cooking dinner & she collapsed & knocked her head on the counter, she shook uncontrollably & repeatedly hit her head on the tile floor.
Her husband came rushing in & told me to throw him a pillow. He put it under her head & opened her mouth to hold her tongue so she wouldn't end up swallowing it. Her eyes were rolled back into her head & there was white foam coming from her mouth. I thought she was dying.
An ambulance was called & my parents were rung to come get me.
Thankfully she was alright & sustained minor head injuries. But 16 years later, it's still the most traumatizing thing I've ever witnessed.

Lone Wolf There's a difference between an health habit and an unhealthy one. Sexual Education is made to teach where's the line.
The "problem" with this desorder in children is when they simply can't stop masturbating and they do it often without even realising it: that is when it's not "normal" anymore and it becomes to be considered an obsessive habit, therefor a mental condition. It's nothing excessively bad by its own, but it should be kept under control because it could be the sign of an obsessive desorder, or it can lead to a need for perpetual gratification that, as you can imagine, is not the key for an healthy development.

    • @Pablo-V

Gratification disorder doesn’t mean that someone masturbates every time because they’re addicted to it or something, it means that they’re exploring themselves in public, that’s what it happens only to children, because they still don’t know the concept of privacy, like house said in the clip, and they don’t know they should do that while not in public.
