Honestly, I think Laiths style suits Vic 3 well, he's good at sinking his teeth into complicated mechanics and making it make a little bit more sense. I'm noticing a bit of a scramble for v3 content from creators, and with all due respect, many appear to be struggling to create interesting content to watch. Really enjoyed this one!
I know everybody is really hyped for this game, myself included. But one thing I have seen is that attempting to make gameplay of this interesting to watch on TH-cam has been a challenge, even though the game looks pretty
@@moonboi1233 You mean "let's sit in the mountains and bait the AI into attacking because my excel spreadsheet says I have a bunch of modifiers?" Look, I like Victoria 2, but pretending its gameplay wasn't spreadsheet hell in all aspects is idiotic. It's literally an economy simulation with politics as a side dish.
@@Gustav_Kuriga If you learnt how to play it, you understood that 90% of the graphs and weird stuff you could ignore. Not gonna say the UI was perfect, it wasn't and it was easily one of the worst parts of the game. But saying that Victoria 3 is better because "Ai was dumb lol" isn't the slam dunk you think it is. Warfare & Troop movement, whilst clunky and easily needing some QoL improvements, was a VERY big part of victoria 2, even victoria 1.
This looks like so much fun! I'm probably gonna wait until it goes on sale to buy it, but watching this video is seriously tempting me to just go for it right now.
For all the times that we mocked the AI for it’s 11 conquest of moldavia or the 7th war for liege… now Lathe steals their playbook for the twenty-six naval invasions of algeria

I’d like to see you make more videos like this where you take a country in decline or a minor nation and make it something cool and fun. I can’t stand every other video on Victoria 3 but I watched this 1 hour video through. You make it so easy to understand and it’s fun. Not boring or complicated, you’re the best paradox youtuber.
Seconding the opinion of others here, I think your vic3 gameplay is a step above everyone else and I hope you continue it for a long time. I think it really fits your format and your energy, your animated style helps keep people invested in the chart heavy gameplay, but it’s not so overbearing as to distract from the gameplay. Great stuff laith!
This guy is brilliant I watch this video 4th time now. He is improving with Russia, attacked from the sea, fix tanzimat reforms, army and economy. Like it was imposible in a day or 2. He have to replay this game over and over to get this much strategy for that its crazy.

I feel like building at least a construction company in every province, alternating with gov't offices, while throwing in the occasional factory or mine, would get you to urbanization pretty quickly. Reform the bureaucracy, retake Syria, Urbanize, and maybe Education reform for the fast research. That looks pretty doable.

Wow. This is my first time watching a vic game, and it really is just like the memes. This would be an accountant's wet dream. It's all graphs and minutia.
Apparently, you get a major naval invasion penalty if the number of battalions you invade with is more than the number of flotillas. Probably why the invasion of Algeria didn't go as well as it should've.
Its honestly surreal after so much EU4 to see the Ottomans not roflstomping the entire globe within the first 10 seconds of the game.
