- Trying to impress Milly by bringing her a scoop for her paper, Hiroki swipes his sister’s personal diary, hoping to pass Milly some secrets. Only that he loses the diary (not realizing that the purloined journal has wound up in Ulrich’s possession), bringing the full wrath of Yumi upon him. Still furious at her brother, Yumi goes off on a mission into the network. But in the heat of battle against Xana’s monsters, her Navskid is lost at sea…

Ulrich's fashion upgrade is by far, my favorite. It may not have been a drastic change, but the jacket suits him well and makes him look more and more mature.

Not only can you tell that Ulrich has physically grown up, I love his green military jacket, his outfit is my favorite new "On Earth" outfit, way better than his first one but it's classic so I don't hate it but it sounds like his voice actress paid a bit of attention and decided to give him a deeper voice like ya know puberty lol, I noticed that a little while back.

I can tell that Ulrich really does love Yumi. He's a sweetheart and a cute guy. Yumi is the only one that he deeply cares about, when she is lost at sea, he sounded like he's mourning for her. I wish he would tell her that he loves her!

Ulrich is a really nice guy, especially when it comes to Yumi. He surely made some mistakes like the one when he told Johny to follow Yumi, but it was only because he was jealous and angry that she had told him they were just friends.

I will always remember this episode. This episode aired a day or so after my grandfather passed away. It was also the very last episode that I ever saw on Cartoon Network brand new even though a few more aired afterwards. Every time they'd play the show to this point they'd always reset after this episode

Richard Nagy Ulrich is really cute. He's cuter than the previous seasons. You can tell he's older by look by his facial features. Odd barely changed. Jeremy doesn't treat Aelita the best, he can be a bit of a control freak.
Yumi is a kick ass woman, she's not the type to be underestimated, none once so ever.

Everyone becomes really stupid in this episode.
Ulrich comes up with some idiotic plot to hide the diary instead of just giving it to Hiroki so he can return it, and Jeremie uploads an update to the Skid's sonar AFTER they already dived instead of before.

This is about my 5th time watching this entire series and I'm just now noticing that you can tell that each of the characters have really grown a little. And that not mentioning the increase in the quality of the graphics

Well it is typical little brother big sister behavior.
Can anyone image how her brother would have felt if Yumi had never come back, if she had disappeared into the digital sea. He might have believed that he was the reason she left and even if he doesn’t , he would have had to live the rest of his life with the knowledge that his sister disappeared (died, kidnapped . . Whatever story he makes up in his little head) mad at him. Imagine him trying to explain to his parent why he believes he’s the reason Yumi left, or going and begging Ulrick, Odd and Jermery about information, anything really, on what happened to her. It breaks my heart just thinking about it. We’ve never really seen a person cry in the past. I think Alieta did when looking at her old house and then Yumi she’d a single tear once, but I do believe that if that had happened we would have seen him full on crying. Ugh. Breaks my heart.

Ok this just makes me imagine a version where Yumi did get lost at sea for good and Hiroki winds up joining the Lyoko Warriors while one of their new missions is finding a way to locate and rematerialize Yumi.

Like they show open affection to each other how a couple would and the group acknowledges it but i dont think theyve ever stated themselves to actually be a couple. Like ive never heard Aelita say Jeremy is her boyfriend or vice versa, or anything. Even though they were macking it up the second she came to earth again lol. At least its not Yumi and Ulrichs back and forth (i still say that almost kiss they had in season 1 or 2 should've made it clear to both of them and cement the relationship, but it didn't for whatever reason

They don't need to say it to others. They are busy with Xana and bringing back William anyway. And it's really different from Ulrich and Yumi. I don't see how is Aelita and Jeremy relationship is confusing at all.
Ulrich is such a cool guy. He makes sure he makes everything right, what a guy.
This is an amazing episode, you can really tell that Ulrich loves Yumi and cares for her a lot.
Ulrich looks good in this season too. I honestly love all their outfit upgrades.

Helping her out of that life or death situation with the meteorite means nothing to her at this point because his ingenuity in the face of danger is undermined by the fact that she can never trust him to not cross any personal boundaries this severe. It was already bad enough to learn the pointlessness of locking her bedroom door. Plus, she specifically told him to find it or consider himself an only child. Sounds like hatred to me

yumi was the victim is “missing link” and again in this episode . this show took almost every opportunity to make yumi the victim and rarely made her the hero . writers were a lil’ sexist
meh the main character of the plot was Aelita and she was definitely a girl. And yumi has had some great moments.
Yep it even happens with the teachers Like how in the food monster episode Jim let slip ‘hot body’ and touched the nurse when she was talking to the students and then talked over her, or in the ‘hot shower’ episode where the principal and Jim didn’t really believe Mrs. Hertz when she said there was a meteor shower at first. None of it is really like the sexual harassment we would hear about today, but it never shows a women in a position power. Still love the show tho

It made me cry a little when Yumi started thinking about her Hiroki. It kind of reminds me of myself and my little brother.
