    Setting appointments is simple AF getting them to show or answer the phone is whole different beast

  • @MyDiscountsNow
    @MyDiscountsNow 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +35

    These appointments are good, but there is an additional follow up question that I would believe needs to be asked to ensure the actual appointment is able to be closed.
    An additional question I would ask is, "besides yourself, is there anybody else that needs to hear and see the information when I arrive? If so, will they be there, too?"

      Yes. You want all of the decision makers present. A husband may be the prime decision maker, but he will require input from his significant other...
      Your statement is on point.

    I think its great that you show the calls where they hang up, so agents know even the best in the industry deal with the same obstacles on the phones. Nice job!

      Yes I agree! I think it's wonderful that he shows both the good and bad calls. The thing is, I don't know why people even bother inquiring about insurance if they are just gonna blow off agents who call them. Why even fill out a quote page if you're not interested? If you put in your phone number or email, you should expect to be contacted.

    Great content. I got my insurance license in 1989 under New York Life. Had zero experience before that. They have exceptional training classes and they prepare you intellectually with the knowledge but reality hits you straight in the face when you’re thrown out to the field. Knowledge is great but it damn sure doesn’t get appointments. 😂 The best advice I have is FORCE YOURSELF TO MAKE CALLS NO MATTER WHAT. If you embarrass yourself or get your feelings hurt take a breath and laugh it off. Insurance sales are definitely a humbling experience and it will only strengthen you. I don’t know of 1 agent that hasn’t struggled at some point in their carrier. Not 1. Here’s the kicker, I got out of the business in 2000 to go into my family’s restaurant business. Had a great time in the food industry until Covid hit. I recently got my insurance license again and started up 2 months ago. I find that it’s harder now than it was 30 years ago. Nobody answers the phone and have been called a bazillion times. It’s funny, even having prior training and experience I feel like a newbie all over again. Cody, your videos have really helped me press forward. I’m in the process of toughening up my skin to prepare for battle with leads. I know it’s a mind game and I just tell myself im going to win. Thanks again for helping. Joe

      Hi. It’s been two years since this comments. How are you doing now? Did you start off in telesales in 2000 or door to door?
      I’m with Aflac after passing my prelicensing course and was kinda thrown into the field I feel on my first day.
      I’m a self starter and have been learning on TH-cam a lot even before I joined them though, and I want to be in this business long term, coming from a long background in transportation, copywriting and voiceover.

    One mind hack that I was able to implement was the perception of “more quotes = more sales”. By default, if you have the ability to get your client through the quoting process, naturally you will close more… even if you’re the worst closer in the world! Realizing it’s a numbers game is a big step in the right direction!

      I agree. Adversity happens in any career, no matter what you do. Not every call you make is gonna become a client. Not every interview you go on is going to turn into a job offer. Or you may work with a company for 5-10 years and then end up getting fired. There is so much uncertainty in career and finance. That is why you must always have a backup plan and keep yourself on the go. Even when you are happy with a job, always keep your resume and LinkedIn up to date. NEVER stop networking!

Then text over the exact same thing you had them right down on paper. Then say “Did you get that text?” The closing ratio statistically increases by 300% when you do this.

    I love that I got to hear the objections, it’s great that you sounded nervous and unsure at times, you seemed new and like you didn’t really know what you were doing or going to say BUT THE RESULTS LIT UP THE BOARD. I believe Success is structural and not personal, you stuck to your your success proven script and I seen live, that appointments were being set.

    So what exactly are you dropping off on these "appointments"? Are you sitting down with these folks and going over the info they request when you stop by that first time or are you just handing them something and heading out shortly thereafter and calling them again to book a sit? Because if you are sitting down with them the first time, it doesn't seem like they are aware of that so i'm just wondering how this works.

    How are you still able to sell insurance with Covid pandemic? Are agents doing it only from home and is it harder since you cant always meet f2f?

    • @CodyAskins
      @CodyAskins  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It depends on which state or country you're currently working from but many agents have switched to telesales.. It definitely can be harder if you're not used to doing telesales. I have a program I started specifically for agents struggling during the pandemic to learn all the ins-and-outs of selling over the phone called the Telesales Mastery Membership.. give my office a call at 833-402-4368 if you'd like to learn more about it!
