As a midwestern, Culver's 100000% is the best "fast food/ restaurant" experience you can get. It's 100% always fresh, I am obsessed with spicy chicken sandwiches and they have the best because it is 100% always fresh. They do not mask the taste of their chicken with mayo or anything like that. Just pickle, lettuce, tomato.

when covid was brand new and it was called corona, burger king's nuggets always tasted like they added hints of glue in with the meat. it only took like 2 years for them to remove said 'glue' obv there wasnt actually glue but it tasted like glue
As a Texan there is only one good meal at whataburger. Get the honey barbacue chicken strip sandwich and have them replace the honey barbacue sauce with the honey butter sauce. Get it with a side of onion rings and ranch. For the drink you can get whatever you want but I highly recommend a normal dr pepper or the Dr Pepper shake.

Ted is so right about culvers, I love Culver’s so much especially their butter burgers 🤤 they have good food, never had a bad experience. Also insane that jschlatt put jersey mikes in D tier because I actually used to work there 😭 their hot subs are amazing! I get how it can get soggy because people ordered it mikes way ( and it gets super loaded with vinegar and oil) but you have the option to not have it mikes way or have less oil and vinegar :P (even have cups of vinegar and oil if you want to decide how much you want)
For anyone wondering, the A&W near Ithaca is in Cortland. I loved going as a kid because you get to order by phone and I thought it was the coolest. Now it's just alright but still a fun nostalgic treat. Also, nowhere else up here does cheese curds because we don't have Culver's in the NE.

My dairy queen experience is very similar to schlatt. Its the must do road trip food for my brother and I. We once got lost in a cemetery during someone's funeral in a small town off I-10 trying to find the local dairy queen on a roadtrip.
A&W here in Canada is, in my opinion, king of the fast food breakfast. Their coffee is pretty good for what it is, their hash browns actually taste like potato, and the sandwiches don't sit like a brick in your stomach. As for the rest of the menu, it's pretty good. Best onion rings as well.
One time I got Taco Bell at like 11:30pm with my girlfriend and I bit into my burrito and as I was pulling away with my bite, there was a huge greasy wiry hair and I just couldn't handle it. I instantly rolled down the window and vomited. I will never have Taco Bell again from the sheer PTSD.
Worked in drive thru, we were expected to get people through the line and out in 3 minutes. We also made the food to order at this particular restaurant, making this time near impossible. There was a list next to the window of the steps of the window interaction that was 9 steps and said “this should take you 1 minute” at the bottom. Also I was consistently the only employee in the drive thru from 5am to 3pm. Hated that. Working fast food is so ass.
