10 yrs next month,I met David Lam,went to see him about getting married to Thai Lady. He told us all the paper work we needed..1 weeks later had appointment at his office,did some paper work at his office,then got into a car ,went some place filled in forms,came back to office,had a coffee,went into another car filled more forms...back to office signed more forms ( some were Translated to English ,for NZ laws ) So all done in 3 hours we were Married..Very good service....

@@thaigirlgiftforeignerjoe7774 Thanks, major surgery involving removal of last Kidney is now scheduled for Sept 1 and then 6 weeks recovery and then surgery for Dialysis port. I am on Dialysis now with catheter in chest. So I hope by Thanksgiving I will be up and about more and plan to return Home to Thailand by spring2024. No prognosis for cure of Cancer but maybe with surgery I can have a couple years of Quality of Life. Love your Videos, thank you so much 💕💕💕🙏🙏🙏

For each of our 2 daughters going to MFU in Chiang Rai, tuition is around 25,300 baht per semester. I pay for a room (think efficiency apartment) in a new building adjacent to the campus for about 4,500 baht per month, plus electricity. It doesn’t include meals. I give them each a 2,500 baht per week allowance for food and essentials.
We have a home in Ngao (close to Lampang) and looked at the university in Lampang for each of the girls, but ultimately decided on Mae Fah Luang University based on what each girl wanted to study. It’s a little more expensive than Lampang, but better suited for their fields of study.
I’m glad Ammie got that cleared up. (There’s a really good American style steak house in Lampang I can recommend next time you’re there for a visit.

Just a great video from news from Emmie to your great interview with TLP, it’s great information, Joe you may want to get a fiancé visa versus K-1 there’s usually 6-11 lag on fiance vs 19-24 months on K-1 having done both! And please don’t pay to have someone fill out the forms they are very easy but make sure you copy everything you send, because if your to get her a green card you’ll need to basically fill out some of the same forms just update the original!
I recently saw a Video from a guy in the Philippines basically stating a service in RP as TLP. Very interesting stuff!
Also you may reach out to the Embassy to do a similar blog on what kind of services are available specific to Thailand!

Haha the world revolves around miscommunication, I thought it was very expensive for a Government University. Our daughter went to Mahicol University in Bangkok,, probably one of the best in the country and it wasn’t near 200K per semester. Glad you clarified that Joe, didn’t want her to get ripped off.
I was very surprised when Emmie said how expensive the course was as my daughter at Mahasarakham University (Government) was only paying about a 10th of that but I didn't want to say anything at the time. But now she is paying about the same as we do for Yuy. Good news indeed! Gift you are right about feeding a family in Isaan on one bowl of that fish mixture and sticky rice. It is still the same in my father-in-laws rural village near Chum Phae. It is a very poor village and many people including my 90 year old father-in-law eat at the temple at midday. His only income is a small amount per year for renting out his rice field plus 900 baht per month from the Government. That Thai Legal Protection firm looks good on the face of it and I might take a look at their site. Having done everything by myself up until now including a run in with the police over a traffic incident, it might be nice for me to have some help from time to time as I get older (now 75). My son attended Stamford International in Bangkok, was 76,000 for 3 months. And now he transfered to Payap inChaing Mai. Which costs 81,000for 3 months. 18,000 for Dorm + food.

My daughter is at university in Prachinburi. It is 25K baht per term. She is also at government university. It's quite reasonable in Thailand. Having said that back in Scotland university is free for Scottish students.

I've got them on my property in the UK, which believe it or not as we never have any sunshine here, provide me with a much cheaper form of electricity. I was just wondering if it's a cost effective option for people in Thailand, especially with the weather you have over there.
Yes, we are still considering adding solar sometime in the future.
Cool man, My wifes neice is working on her english, then she will get a visa from the local city college here in southern california which is about 3 miles from us. If she kicks butt like my son did, she can transfer to a university. Hopefully we are still here at that time...lol

Joe when you first got there did you get the service of visa there
No, luckily for me I had Gift and her family help me with immigration. Also back then, the US Embassy was still providing financial affidavits at the time. Unfortunately, it’s a bit more complicated now when trying to get the initial visa.

Yes, Chuck’s mom used TLP for her visa and other things.

Congrats on finally getting your will done and doing a power of attorney to gift, for when you are incapacitated while in Thailand. I was just wondering if Thai Legal also does a Living Will and Living Trust. The Living Trust really sets up all of your love ones for during yours remaining years and the years after you are dead Joe. You should asks the Thai Legal's lawyer about the Living Trust part too. It is better to do both the Living Will and the Living Trust at the same time if you can. Good luck with your legal process.

The Living Trust really protects your love ones from the tax man when you are gone. Once again, congrats on your good decision to finally have this done by a professional attorney that specializes in such matters.

I don't need to check out Thai Legal Protection website, but ask what the annual fee is and also where does the money come from to run this organization. Is enough funds made by membership or possibly they get funds from the company they recommend to the public.

Sin Sod is about the Thai tradition. In many cases it is only for show and the groom and or his family receives the money and gold back. Gift’s mother does not want anything from us but we still may give money for ceremonial purposes only.

Not True. Thai lady family will loose face big time if No dowry is paid. Been to almost 80 Thai weddings and never seen Farang Not pay a large amount to help the Daughters Thai family. Expect to pay about 1 million THB n your case.

Was gonna say, 400k sounded way too high for four years at a thai govt college...one could argue that even 40k for a year is higher than what it ought to be considering the main thing she will have to show is a degree ceremony picture on the wall of her mom/family home to show they are in the club...nonetheless, if at the end of four years she can confidently descern between 40k and 400k thb without asking her senior, then the 160-200k++ will have been well spent! If anything it will be part of her Thai rite of passage... best of kuck and congratz to alk
As I said in the video it was a misunderstanding between the cost for 1 yr versus 4 yr. I believe we all once in our lifetime misunderstood what was being said at one time or another. Emmie is a very intelligent girl and with her degree she has a great future ahead of her. Have a nice day!
