During this interview I misspoke and said tropical island. What I meant to say was tropical climate. Lol 😂

Joe … you are my hero … as a Black man, I have only had two negative incidents in all the years of traveling to Thailand, and both were White men who imported their racism and prejudice with them. One man was from England and the other, … who I ended up punching his lights out for calling me the N word, … was German. Thai people are most excepting, with few exceptions. I recommend, whether you are Black, White or Brown … leave your racist, prejudice predispositions in the country you are leaving.
My only fear … is driving …

    • @acewongsawad6910

You are right about the driving or even being on the road in TH in some places. It's outright scary!

I agree with you. The only racism i faced on Thailand were from white expats. However, i did deal with colorism.

    • @markmorgan8763

You're absolutely right bruh... Im African American and German and of light complexity however as you might think I've gotten called racial names depicting latin people,or even one time"sand n#### " in Europe before I spoke and educated the idiots who ran anyway once I approached them ! Look bruh we've seen and been through it but Thailand among other places I've been is one of the most understanding and pleasant places to be and live. Joe and Gift know this and I'm certainly glad they throw a little life expectancy and experience for many ethnicities going there in their videos so as to show others the real Thai people and culture ! Definitely a class act !

I’m an Afro American woman, NYC born and raised. I’ve been exploring TH-cam for ideas where to go when I retire. I like Mexico and Thailand so far, but mostly I see videos of white guys of all ages traveling alone and not much else. I’ve joined maybe 5 solid channels of women alone that are not traveling just for fun, or Black American couples, or Black American women. Thank you for this both couples were very helpful.

I am also retired and am here solo . I'm looking forward to experiencing this wonderful country, its culture and people! I am a Vet as well and the VA will reimburse for treatment related to service connected conditions through the Foreign Medical program. I hope to meet all of you guys one day!

Joe ... my man you definitely stepped up your game on interviewing these two couples . Obviously being from NYC I'm slightly favorable towards " Kesha and Charles but I also admire Nicole and Mike's attitude and incite on their life experience in Thailand. What immediately drew my attention was your understanding and indepth inquisition about Kesha and Charles's experience as a black (African American couple) in Thailand. That my friend was ethical, civil, and smart on your part. It definitely defined you and Gifts social state of mind and humility towards all people around the world. Hence your propensity for peace and success in a tranquil life ! Thank you and Gift for this video " I'm sure its going to be one of your best" and definitely we're ( Ta and I) looking forward to meeting you two ! Excellent video dude 😎👍🔥🙏🙏

Good evening Gift and Joe,thank you for sharing such an enlightening vid,you have a special talent of listening and empathising with your subjects,Kei and Charles made the point how big Bangkok can be and intense with heat and humidity, nice to say how real you fellow expats are! Nicole and Mike are so relaxed and are not skimping on their quality of life. Many of us get to an age and stage in life when we weigh up things and come to the conclusion,to travel, holiday home or emigrate due to the costs and pressures in the west.I really, really enjoyed this interview, thank you! and have a nice day!

Interesting interviews and very nice people. I am still geared to go to the Philippines and hope to find a good place to use as a base to travel from. I still plan to go to other Asian countries and explore and learn about those countries. If I can go to the Philippines the way I want to go it will be cheaper and won't have to put out a large amount of my savings that most retirement visa's require. But never say never cause anything can happen to make you want to change your mind. BTW Joe I tried your New York Onion recipe and put the onions in a wrap with some thin cut steak and cheese and it was awesome. Thanks so much for sharing that recipe. I don't usually have ketchup but just happened to have some packets here from take out food. I usually use Heinz chili sauce so I think I will try that next time I make those onions

WELL DONE JOE: Really nice introduction to Mike and Nicole and Kei and Charles. I’ve already subbed to Kei ‘ s channel and she and Charles have some really fun content. And really appreciate what Mike had to say about retiring….” Didn’t want to work the rest of my life to pay bills “…. Amen to that and I will sub them also…ok Foreigner Joe…. Thanks for sharing and I’ll c u on the next one …..:-))
