Mark, this proves again why you are the best food blogger on the Internet. Your attention to detail your research before you visit different cuisine or restaurants is second to none. Thank you for showcasing my beautiful city that I’ve known for 58 years.
Filming in a van by himself with the door open and a car seat in the back....Mark is continually genuine and never pretentious. This is why we love him!🥰
Nothing to do with whether he’s pretentious or not, more like he’s not being aware of his surroundings. Protect your family. Know where you are. Close and lock the doors.
Keep em coming Mark! Show off what Chicago has to provide to the world! People really need to stop hearing or seeing the bad news the media shows and instead focus on what Chicago really has to offer. Beautiful Chicago! 👏
Absolutely I’m tired tired of the negativity! I’ve lived here for 50 years, and will defend it to the end! Thanks for showcasing our great cuisine! Second to none!
Your bro-in-law is the man for putting you on to all the real Chicago favorites, this series is ridiculously awesome thank you guys for this my city should be proud
Loving you & Derek together. Wish he had time to travel with you around the world because the appreciation his has for food and his good natured temperament makes him a top class companion. Keep this series going, Mark.
I agree. I wish he and Derek traveled more together. Derek compliments Mark so well. I watch their San Diego VLOG and the Little Miss BBQ in AZ all the time. I need more of it.
My husband is Boricua! he was soo happy you tried a puerto rican dish, he recommends you go to Puerto Rico ! you will love it, puerto rican food is delicious! 🇵🇷🇵🇷 glad you loved the jibarito dish .
As a Chicago native for my entire life… dude. You are hitting every single spot. You’re making ME jealous because you are having every single place I have eaten and wish I did more often. You’re eating the best we have to offer. Enjoy our city!!!! Love ya bud
Ah man just discovered this channel! I'm in Andorra currently and I haven't discovered the local food yet! I make videos whilst traveling the world but don't do any local food reviews! He's doing this so right! Much to learn
Mark Wiens is killing it with this fantastic series about Chicago. Me having family from the Chi, the series really hits home!! Thanks for all the great work you do Mr. Wiens. Being a fan of yours is a great honor!!
Mark, you and your brother in law are like two children with a Child soul discovering every time their new "Toys" with such an "naive", kind and sweet approach that it's a pure gem seeing you both eating!!!! thank you for helping me traveled through your videos and sharing your passion, be all blessed and safe 🙏😂🤗😋
Mark is so humble. He has incredible knowledge but when people tell him a fact he almost certainly knows, like what a broiler does, he doesn’t need to let them know he already knew.
Mark is the best food blogger on Earth. he is the moast possitive and cheerful person , who makes everybodies day possitive and happy. thank you mark for doing a great job!!!!
With all due respect, Mark, your brother-in-law is by far the star of the show. What a fantastic gentleman he needs his own TH-cam channel I will subscribe right now.
😮Nice to see you in Chicago Mark. Since you have the kids along, here’s a couple of iconic ice cream shops you should try: Rainbow Cone, serving since 1926, five flavors of ice cream sliced and layered in a cone, and Margie’s Candy, serving since 1921, for hot fudge sundaes.
What I find interesting is that I've lived in Chicago for almost 7 years, most of it near Margie's, but have never wanted to wait in the short line all the times I thought to go. Yet, as a tourist in New York, I waited in line for Katz's Deli for over an hour. The things you take for granted.
I loved this Chicago series and I will make sure that I visit most of these places. By the way you and your brother-in-law make such an excellent combination you should do this with him more often
WOW Mark! You have hit it on the head when it comes to spots locals actually eat at in Chicago. This whole series is so different from all other Chicago food tours I’ve seen. You are definitely killing it 👍
One of the best jobs a human being can possibly have .travel ,eat ,and create content I watch every single one of his videos always with a positive attitude and charisma.
Mark, you've probably been asked this a thousand times but, how do you stay so thin after eating all of this food? Between you and Sonny, you have the most the most enjoyable food channels on the net. Thanks for sharing your experience with us.
Mark, I'm puerto rican and have had A Lot of puerto rican food in my life both here and in PR. Jibaritos y Mas is my favorite restaurant. The food only comes second against my abuela's. God rest her soul.
I love the fun that you, Derrick, and the family have that amount of fun eating meals together. I love the 1 liners thrown in here and there. You guys are awesome together.
Bourdain was a vanguard, a travel foodie trailblazer who opened up the whole idea for people like Mark, but Mark is great in his own right. Everywhere he goes, people warm to him, he’s so likable, but in addition, he just does such a great job of researching and finding all the great places and foods that are emblematic of the place he is visiting. The comment section is filled with praise from the locals, and from many who visit there to the restaurants and food trucks/carts/shops he has himself visited. He’s a magnificent travel guide! Bourdain we will always remember, his quick wit, and quirky personality we all love him for- but he had a whole network production crew behind him who scoped out the place, provided him with local contacts and guides, arranged his travel - it was a different world for Tony.
I’m a New Yorker, so I’m used to hearing a lot of trash talk about my city as well, but you all have an AMAZING city there! If I was ever reborn in a different place, I would hope for Chicago lol
With the skill of your editing and your charisma, it astounds me that you're not on network television by now. I hope you always get the reach you want with your content, Mark, you really deserve it.
As an asian American from chicago, yes, Great Seas is where they invented the lollipop chicken wings. They are super crispy and tasty. Would drive all the way to the north side city to get these
The plantain used to replace bread helps many people who are gluten/wheat intolerant, kudos to señor Munoz😎....I need to try that brownie😋...thank you mark😎
This video take 'snacking' to a whole new level! 'Hot dogs' are more like a work of art, 'popcorn' comes in flavors you didn't even know existed, and 'deep-fried everything' is a state of mind (yes, even Twinkies). Makes me really wanna go to Chicago very soon and have a mukbang for a TV show lol.
Great video Mark 👍 Love the Jibaritos 🇵🇷 *Harry Caray's highlight years came as a Cubs announcer.. "Holy Cow!" -but often overlooked are his years with the White Sox! Just a touch of history in regards to this Chicago special 😎

Give Geranimo a raise. And a shout out. That is tough cooking and then on camera. He's a proud and seasoned chef. Much love to the people who cook our beautiful food. I love him and many like him. That is passion.
You really outdid yourself in this series. Derek is the real deal and a proud Chicago Kid. The MIL was sold at Fun Town so I’m a bit surprised he never had one. Maybe I’m aging myself.

I wonder if Mark has thought about handing his channel off to Micah when he gets older, if Micah wanted to. Or maybe Micah''s own channel, helping his son carry on the tradition. I'm sure as a family they have thought about it, but it will be interesting to see. Still many more years to come.

Love Chicago, although admittedly I usually eat lots of Asian food when Im there... the underground food court in China Town is amazing! Brother in law was a great addition!
My grandmother from Italy made Italian baked chicken this way nearly every week, while I was growing up in Chicago. Never knew it or called it chicken Vesuvio back then. 😋
I am so disappointed I miss seeing you in my hometown if I had known you were going to be in Chicago that long I would’ve booked a flight back home just so I could meet you. I’ve been watching you for a while and I enjoy your content. Keep up the awesome work. Love you, Mark and family. ❤
Mr Ds on diversey. Chicago only and doesn’t get enough love outside the city. I think it’s the best hidden gem. That shishkabob sandwich I would travel anywhere for.
