Never seen someone show off Chicago so nicely before, genuinely there’s so many options for food here, so it’s nice to see so many videos dedicated to the city.
Mark, thanks for covering my city! The pandemic took a few of our historic restaurants out! It’s really sad, but you do such an awesome job with bringing light to those that are, thankfully, still around.
After watching this guy for a decade, it's wild watching him come to Chicago and eating the foods that I grew up on and still eat regularly. I'm glad you're enjoying your stay. Cheers from NYC- another great food city, but Chicago is the best in the world!
Being a Chicagoan and visited nyc, i can see the reasons why. One of the biggest reasons being, usually most places i go to like this to eat, theres no line, or a really short one. In nyc just to go eat a quick meal at a costco was a 15 min line for food that wasn't that good. I wish i could've gone to queens i heard thats where alot of the good food places are
Coming out of one of the blustery, cold, Chicago winter days, into a sandwich shop to eat comfort food like that is a true comfort for one's soul. Love Chi-Town Food, thanx Mark.😃
Yess, a hott soup n breaded sandwich mmm. Then come back home turn on my fireplace kick back light one up and smoke a fatty while watching the kids play in the snow outside as it falls. This the kinda Chicago memories ❤ i love to think about. Its like all if not most the food thats Chicago origin is designed for maximum comfort. Even on the harshest of days, a good sandwich and hot soup does alot

Hi Mark from Sweden. My brother who was born the same year as you, used to watch your videos, he said it calmed his anxiety watching your videos. He commited suicide earlier this year. I thought you should know, you mean a lot so many people.
Those sandwiches look so good my eyes started to water 😭 The Famous Chi!! One of the greatest foodie destinations in the nation for sure.. The servings are massively guaranteed to fill the pot which I absolutely love!! Mark this is another smack out the park again & again!! Thanks so much for your consistent delivery. Safe travels.. 🍕
Mark you are killing it with the Chicago content. You continue to pick great places. Ricobene's is my 2nd favorite breaded steak, so darn good. Nice to see Derek experience one for the first time as well.
Mark, you and your bother in law makes a great team in front of the camera! Wish you guys could do more videos together! Seem like you guys are so comfortable and confident together :)
This place is a Chicago 💎 . One of my favorite restaurants in the city. Used to come here after a white sox game. Still come here till this day. Southside Chicago baby! 💪🏽
Chicago native here. I have spent most of my career working in the "Loop" district for many decades. I have eaten at most of the places reveiwed. Ricobene's is at the top of my list including Johnnie's Beef in Elmwood Pk. for sure. Cheers Mark!

Grew up eating Ricobene's. It's a place that's criminally underrated; in my mind having the best pizza crust for their deep dish. It's really something that only a Chicago native would know if they're from the South Side or if you've been living in Chicago long enough.
Ricobene's is LEGENDARY. I also have the breaded steak as one of my top sandwiches ever. Real food coma+heartburn hazard but it's sooo worth it. Manny's is pretty good but mostly has history going for it. Eleven City Diner down the road does a better pastrami in my opinion and the Salami Valor is another on my top sandwich list. Still have yet to make my way to JP's.
No he eats a ton of calories he just has a fast metabolism and it gets burned. He said on a video once that he only exercises when he’s at home in Bangkok
"JAR-da-NAIR-uh"! Looks like fun. Been to all those spots. Manny's workers have been there for years; the portions are famous for being belly-busting. Graziano's is probably one of the lesser-known local spots.
Ricobenes!!!! The place the locals keep to themselves! Hahaha. Retro as hell... dates back to the 40s. Easily a top 5. This place has the history to back it up. Many many consider this above portillos, and regarded as full fledged Chicago, leaves nothing to be desired. Its messy but the taste is unmatched by any city in the usa. These sandwiches carry weight! Bring your most savage appetite here
Happy to see you in my neighborhood 🥰 Grew up and still live 1 1/2 blocks away from Ricobenes. Everything there is really good…I always order the French fries well, well done. My grandchildren love their pizza. I love Manny’s too….1/2 corned beef and 1/2 pastrami on an onion roll with a potato pancake on the side 🥰 You need some sour cream or applesauce for the pancake.
