I am a struggling painter for 2 years. For the past years, it was really hard for me to learn techniques and how to get the right skin tones. How I wish, I should've seen your channel before. I felt so blessed to discover such great artist/creator like you. I have REALLY learned a LOT from your videos. YOU'RE A REALLY AMAZING ARTIST!💗✨
I am not such a great artist. But I am really glad that you have found my videos helpful 😊 Thanks a lot for your appreciation and comment 🙏. Keep Painting. Good luck 👍
Thank you so much for your appreciation 🙏 Glad to know that you too an acrylic artist. This work took around 10 hours in real time. Stay safe, have a nice day 😊🎨
Nice to see a work with the proper underpainting application. I like your technique a great deal. I've seen artists that either blend still-wet acrylics together on the canvas or wait until dry before applying the next layer, and blending it with the existing. Do you have a preference?
Thank you so much for appreciating my works. I usually change my method depending on the subject. But mostly I do with wet on dry. Because Acrylic usually dries while you paint. You'll hardly get time to blend wet on wet. I hope you'll find my latest video more interesting. I have applied glazing technique in some of my recent videos. Please have a look.
Thank you. That was mesmerizing to watch! The music was quite pleasant and unintrusive too. I have battled with acrylics for many years. I love and hate them at the same time, but I persist so the battle continues. Not sure what make of acrylic paints you are using here but there is nooo waaay mines will stay workable as long as yours using only water. Even when I pre-mix my colours, ready to go, they dry far too quickly whereas yours seem to work like oils. Plus - and this is crucial - I can NEVER mix enough of each colour, not EVER! That is a real problem for me as I usually do both head/face and full body portraits on 24 x 30 inch canvas. I have searched but as yet have found no help with this dilemma. Thankfully my paintings always look good in the end, but by heck, what a bloomin struggle to get there. I think I get by on luck, determination and pure fluke. Acrylic - or any painting process - should be therapeutic but instead I could do with therapy during and afterwards. Most unsatisfying and frustrating. I know there are a lot of factors involved but can't help feel that there has to be a better way, that I must be doing something wrong!
Thank you so much for appreciating my work. Glad to know that you liked it. Acrylic dries even for me. But I prefer to work in layers, rather than pre mixing them. Also you can use water mist spray to protect your color mix from drying. I have many videos on it. Hope you will find something usable. Thanks again 😊🙏🎨
@@DebojyotiBoruahArt Thanks for your prompt reply. I always use a water mister which def does help. Also have various slow-dry mediums, retarders etc, and a few do show promise but time will tell. Recently I bought some Golden Open acrylics but haven't really experimented enough yet however they also look promising. I think the canvas size is part of the problem. It is quite big and most videos I watch demonstrate on a smaller scale. Anyway, fingers crossed something will work for me! I have subscribed because I like your presentation and the way you paint - and you respond to your commenters which is a huge plus! I look forward to watching more of your videos. Again, thank you sooo much and have a wonderful day! 😊

Thank you so much for your comment and continuous support for my art 🙏😊 I'll be very happy if someone gets benefits from my videos. Surely you should try 👍 Have a nice day 😊
Thanks for sharing your talent. My question is, how long to let dry once the preliminary shading with the grays has been done before applying the general layer and starting to color.
For acrylic you don't need to wait much longer. 10 to 15 minutes is enough. Sometimes I apply next layer almost instantly after completion of the first layer. You may love to visit some of my recent videos where I have shared more details. Thank you so much for your appreciation. Have a nice day 😊🎨
Your work is absolutely amazing! I am hooked on your technique & videos. I am attempting a painting where my heads and faces are small, maybe 2 inches by 2 inches. When they are this small, should I paint the skin tone first or do as you did here and paint the facial features first? It is very fine detail work and the eyes are looking down so you only see the eyelashes. Thank you so very much.
For small studies like yours I would suggest you to go for glazing or grisaille technique. You may like to see my recent video, where I have discussed the same. Here you start with a detail monochrome underpainting with an eart tone. Then apply colors of multiple layers to achieve the skintone. Hope you can do well. Good luck👍 and thank you so much for your comment 😊
Thank you so much. My acrylic dries too. I just spray water to keep it moist for longer. You can visit my website for more details. Link in description.
Great video. Quick question why do the two color values in the beginning if you just go over it with an amber over coating? Why not just start with the amber overcoat Yk? Thank you so much!!!
Thank you for appreciating my work. I prefer to start my painting with a warm undertone. As the yellow is a dominant colour for most of the facial skin tone, I use ochre with white most of the time.

Most of the time I use white bristle flat and nylon round. But I use different types of brushes time to time. You need to experiment for your liking. Thank you for watching 😊
