I appreciate how you show that sometimes it’s necessary to start over, but not get discouraged. Art is a process. Even from pieces we’re not satisfied with, we learn. It can only get better! Thanks for sharing all your techniques and color combinations. I learn a lot from your videos. 👍🏻 Never thought about the challenges of painting oily or sweaty skin with acrylics. This is a great reference. On another note, I bought carbon/transfer paper and recently used it to paint a few portraits. It makes life so much easier. Thanks for teaching that tip on another video you’ve posted.
Yes. Sometimes you can do better in the second attempt. It works for me. As I can avoid the mistakes that I made before. Acrylic was challenging for me earlier. But it is my favourite medium now. Many things to learn. I am learning from each of my painting. It's a journey. I am really glad to know that you found the carbon tracing technique helpful. Keep Painting. Good luck for your next project 👍 Thank you so much for your appreciation and support 🙏😊
The solution to growth. When you are able to paint over your old painting and move on to a new one instead of trying to fix the old one. I was trying to fix a painting and realized that I was just painting around the error and that made the whole painting look bad. I redid the painting and it came out better of course because that flaw that I put down was not there. The reason why I clinging on to the previous painting was because I felt that I put so much time into it. I didn't want to feel like I wasted it. However, I realized by trying to fix it instead of start over, I was wasting even more time.
Yes. You are right. It takes much lesser time when you start the same subject for the second time. It happens to me many times. And I think it's the best practice an artist can do to improve the skill. Thank you so much for your comment and watching my art🙏 Have a nice day 😊🎨
Faced a similar situation and starting afresh again. It was a mental stress for me as I was not getting the features right and was trying to rectify it.
Thank you for sharing that you weren't happy with your first attempt. That's real, not always one gets the perfect results, even not the professionals. Having said that, just started watching some of your work, it's great. I wish to be good enough to mix colors that way. I'm inspired.
Yes, I do erase my paintings if I am not satisfied. And the good thing is you came to know about the faults. There are lots of techniques to follow. I have shared a very easy technique in my recent video. Please have a look. Thank you so much for your appreciation and support 🙏😊🎨
such an amazing painting, i personally find painting with acrylics very hard as I have not mastered the blending. i would really appreciate it if you could make this video again but with black & white!
I too had difficulty blending acrylics earlier. But now it's my favorite medium. You may try spraying water mist spray on your palette to keep it moist. It works. Thanks for your suggestion. I'll try to make one in monochrome. Thank you so much for watching 🙏😊
It's about the brush stroke. Sometimes dry brush loaded with thick paint is helpful for a oil like look. I usually use very thin layers. But not in this case. Thank you so much for your comment 🙏
I am in love with your drawings....... How do you achieve this much best level.... Like I never tried portrait with acrylic, but acrylic dries so fast, how I can make same paintings like you with acrylic ❤️
I mostly use white bristle brushes from Camlin and Brustro from sizes 3 to 12 . I use nylon round too. Sizes may differ according to your needs. Thank you so much for watching ☺️
hlo sir I'm your biggest fan i have a question that can't we do this painting on normal paper like A5 size paper is it canvas is that important ? can you suggest me cheapest material on that I can paint instead of canvas?
Sure you can do on paper. But your paper should ne atleast 200gsm in thickness for acrylic painting. Or it may tear easily. You can use gesso or white color coat before painting on it. Brands doesn't matter. Size is upto you. You can do on any size of paper. Thank you so much for your appreciation🙏😊
