    Your art and the way you are painting with your brushes is astonishing. Please don’t let other people tell you what you have to do and what you don’t have to do and what you have to buy and so on.
    What you are doing with what you have is so nice, it’s not the material that makes an artist. I think part of the beauty of your paintings derives from exactly using what you are having at hand. The way you put those gracefully aged brushes to work is perfect.
    I don’t want to disqualify the previous commentor.
    Just wanted to make sure you follow your path and don’t let others interfere with it too much. Many people these days seem to know what’s best for you, meaning no harm, but none of them is walking in your shoes.
    Keep up the nice work, and thanks for bringing this to the world.❤️❤️😊
    Have a wonderful day
    Marco

      Dear Marco
      Thank you so much for your wonderful words🙏. Whatever you have said is absolutely true. Materials and medium doesn't matter much for an artist. For me the oldest brushes are my best friend as I know how they will behave😃. And , I don't use any expensive materials either. I use which anyone can afford.
      Thanks again for your valuable time and a genuine feedback and support for my art 🙏 Have a great day 🌄☺️

    So much control over acrylic even with nubby brushes... I have a long way to go... I struggle with so many things but picking the right brush is right up there. It isn't the brush after all... its the skill behind the brush. Very nice job!

      You are right. I usually use very cheap brushes. Some are even worst. But I used them for different purposes in my paintings. Thank you so much for your beautiful words 🙏😊 Have a nice day 😊

      You have to buy quality brushes.
      Almost 1 brush costs you 20-25$.
      Synthetic & pony hair I use for acrylics. You need to use acrylic retarder to maintain more dry time.
      Also you can use glossy medium for
      Perfect finish.
      Acrylic paint brand also important.
      You need to buy market leading brands.

      @@saichand999 buy the best gesso you can buy,. It does a. Better job, will last longer and it's not too much to begin with.
      When it comes to paint and brushes, it doesn't make any difference.
      The best acrylic artist don't use any medium only water. Mediums will get in your way when you're trying to get to the higher level. Use only water never use mediums
      The expensive brushes are ok, the only thing is THEY DON'T WORK. They were made by companies who are only interested in taking your money and not your artwork.
      I been there, I know .
      The expensive don't even work.

    Amazing is the word !! Are you using Hog brush for highlights? And after that blending is done by filbert brush on cheeks ?
    Secondly are you not using much water while blending?

    • @DebojyotiBoruahArt
      @DebojyotiBoruahArt  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you so much 🙏
      Hog hair- Yes,
      Filbert - Yes,
      Less water - Yes.
      I frequently change my brushes in different areas of the painting. And use less water during blending..

    Thank you for yet another beautiful tutorial, Debojyoti!! Am I correct when I say that, for the most part, you're using a dry-brush technique when you are applying your paint - rather than a wet brush? If so, then I'm doing it all wrong!! I've been using mostly a wet brush. Do you "dry" your brush on a towel/napkin before you apply brush strokes to the canvas - or pick up a clean, dry brush each time?

    • @DebojyotiBoruahArt
      @DebojyotiBoruahArt  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thank you so much for your appreciation 🙏😊 I don't use purely dry brush for all areas. It depends. I wash my brush time to time and wipe clean to prevent it from drying. Dry brush is helpful for small areas and sometimes in hair details. I think I have told you once to use dry brush for correcting some areas.

    • @momasan2
      @momasan2 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@DebojyotiBoruahArt Yes, you did tell me, and I have been doing that. I just happened to note that you seem to be 'dabbing' paint instead of swiping it, and I thought it looked like a dry brush. Such great tutorials!!!😊

    Mind blowing work 🙌 & lovely video. But my question remains ...what's the secret of blending the colors 😄 ?? Is it that we must work very fast so that the color applied before doesn't dry up ?? Also when I take out several colors together...some of them start to dry up if not constantly used ...what yo do ?? Do you keep spraying with water ? Kindly let us know 🙏

    • @DebojyotiBoruahArt
      @DebojyotiBoruahArt  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you so much ☺️
      Acrylic dries fast. Mine too. I always let my paint dry on the canvas. But I always spray water on my mixing palette. You can control it's moisture as long as you want. Nothing special, just water 😃 Try it once. It works.

    Your colour blend perfectly on canvas . I'm still learning by myself so i took time sometimes in colour blending so colour on canvas dried or sometimes Colour which i took out for mixing also dried easily on palette . So it's difficult for me to do all work quickly before colour gets dry . I watched many videos artist used acrylic paint which was more like cream texture easily mixed but i used camel acrylic paint which comes in small tube like toothpaste tube and it's very thick paste i need water to dilute . So tell me what to do . I have no knowledge about colours and what kind is best for portrait making . Except oil painting please suggest me something else . I can't handle oil painting .

      I can understand your situation. I have been practicing with Acrylic since 15 years now. But in the beginning I was struggling with it.
      Try using water spray on your palette. It will not dry soon. I too use Camlin acrylic paint from tube. It's an excellent product.
      Try practicing with smaller subjects so that you can paint it within 30 to 45 mins.
      It will help you understand acrylic faster.
      I have a dedicated course on it. You can visit my website for more details.
      Thank you.

      I don't use gesso much. I start with the outline most of the time.
