my little brother lost his battle with ptsd December 31st. his name was Peter Anthony Martin. born January 15th 1990, and passed December 31st 2015. I don't want him forgotten
Absolutely. I look up to and support the men who get paid shit for one of the hardest jobs on Earth. Pardon the language but fuck the man getting paid millions to throw a ball across a field and who can't even stand for the flag that our families have died for. I'm tired of people walking on our military, on our flag, and our president. If you are not happy with our great country, leave it! We do not want you here.
"Our flag doesn't fly because the wind moves it, it moves because of the last breath of every soldier that died defending it" 🇬🇧🤚🏻 Thank you for your service
Thank you so much to every single one of you that have watched and shared my song/video. I cannot comprehend 4 Million people have seen and heard this. It humbles me beyond words. Most of all, thank you to ALL of our Veterans and their families for their service and sacrifice. I am forever in your debt. - Bachman
Thanks, really. I got left behind in a hangar during a rocket attack in Taji in early '04.... that hurt me for so long, and I'm still embarrassed to this day because we've been through so much my battle buddies and I, but that affected me more than anything else and nobody really understands that beyond death and whatever else went on what it was like to be abandoned within the first days I was in combat...I walked back through the rocket fire with no regard. Since that day I've never felt anything but alone
Much love brother and thank you for all you have sacrificed. I was a fister Who served For 8 years I have lost a lot of brothers Due to the war within when we return We veterans Must stick together and look out for one another Across-the-board- Cooper #IGY6 #Unitedwestand #Dividedwefall

My nephew was 18 years old when he was sent to Afghanistan. He was a funny, fun loving kid until he came back. He was forced to kill 4 people over there one of them was a young kid. When my nephew came home he had severe ptsd. He became an alcoholic and drug addict. He was no longer the funny kid we all knew and loved. One night my brother found my nephew lying in the doorway to their house. He had overdosed and was dyibg. My brother called 911 and did what he could till help arrived. He told the EMTs that my nephew is a veteran and made sure they treated him with the utmost respect. My nephew lived, thank God. And years later he is doing way better. He's married now and they just had a baby. I want to say Thank you to Jonathan Fritz my nephew for his service. I love you and I'm so very proud of you. And to all our service men and women, Thank You for your sacrifice. With all my heart I am proud of you and love you. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸😊
I’m happy that he is recovering to many times we see this happen and it doesn’t end well. I’ve lost 3 friends to suicide from PTSD. Congratulations on him having a baby and getting married. My wife and daughter saved my life so I know the importance of family and your wonderful for staying by his side. Much love to you and your family❤ god bless.
I am so very thankful for his sacrifices and for the love your family has for him as a man and warrior🩵 and I am grateful he overcame those things he had to do for his brothers and sisters over there he’s a good man. Much love and prays for us all🙏
Welcome home , Home of the free because of the brave. I grew up as a navy brat father was 42 year submariner Grew up around military bases and military people most of my life .after 42 years active duty my father was a recruiter we always had young men far from home that my folks would bring home to have BBQ swim get togethers because he knew what it was like to be so far from family when he was on tour.so now We do donations drives every few months getting stuff together for homeless vets living on the streets here in Georgia breaks my heart no one that serves should be treated that way I know for some it’s there choice because of PTSD they don’t feel like can live normal life but gust sitting and talking with them helps I believe I get more out it then they do just to take the time to listen or show that you truly care means a lot to them. These two young men are what true hero’s are after all been through still see life is still great
True story: I met a gentleman, about my age (mid sixties- Vietnam Era), at the NASCAR race at Watkins Glen on 06-AUG-2016. He was wearing a baseball cap with, "Disabled American Veteran Chapter 7." I reached out to shake his hand and said to him, "Thank you for your service and welcome home brother." He turned and said, "I'm not home yet. Only about 40%" He then put his hand up to his mouth as to shield everyone from what he was going to say and said, "And it's not physical, if you know what I mean." I told him, "I completely understand and good luck with your healing." What else could I say? He caught me completely off guard but I was very impressed with his honesty and willingness to share his story.
@@armybeef68 I could not join due to asthma but i listened everytime my stepdad spoke about his 30 years in the Navy. It did allow him to get alot off his chest of the hell he seen. At first his flashbacks were bad and nightsweats but over time just me and my brothers hearing him out helped him. The one thing he he got to come home on he threw overboard. He wanted to get his brothers home. His purple heart he said was nothing compared to others. I believe his ability to finally get it off his chest is what made his passing later on go easier.
@@armybeef68 I walked around 25 years, undiagnosed, brother. My first anxiety attack in 2014 put me on the floor, dead. Now, it happens more often than I care to admit. If you have a Vet Center somewhere within driving distance, they will listen. I'm not saying the VA, but a Vet Center. It's not perfect, but it beats the hell out of the silence. Take care. You aren't alone.
My dad is a proud Vietnam Vet. He did what he thought was right for this country and I'm proud of him and his faith in this nation. His love is well placed, I hope his love for America isn't disgraced by future generations who defile what freedom means.
God bless our soldiers! From a Paratrooper to those that did and didn’t make it home... Thank you for your service. You are not alone or forgotten. For those who gave a thumbs down... get bent.
Those who did the thumbs can kiss my ass , the people who gave you the right to post & breathe for you cowards ! I am a 70 year young Viet Nam Vet who can still whip ass and would still serve , but not for you thumbs down, they should put you out front for Cannon fodder!!! God Bless all who served & your families!!! Just a Nam Vet
My grandpa passed away 3 weeks ago Monday, he was a Air Force Vietnam vet. He had PTSD, but he’d never admit it. He couldn’t even go to a restaurant that had more than a handful of people in it. I miss him more than I could ever explain. I recently talked with a recruiter and couldn’t be prouder to follow in Sargent William “Pete” Goucher’s foot steps.
Miss Emmie Sorry for your Loss dear God Bless your Family And Most of the Older vets Hate to admit they have the ptsd Disorder cause it makes them look week My father and my uncle were this way . God bless you and your family . if you decide to serve congrats . you made the biggest leap half these younger generations will never have the guts to do. sincerely Staff Sargeant Payton A. I am a 100% disabled veteran from Desert Storm but my two oldest sons who served during the Afghanistan and Iraqi conflicts both ended up with more severe PTSD issues and emotional struggles as a result of the things they saw and did. This song and video are very well done and bring out the importance of the continued need to support all the veterans who are suffering, and usually silently, to deal with their lives after serving in a long conflict which can leave them with emotions and issues they frequently don't even realize are continuing to hurt them every day.
My son Jacky Dean Moore Jr. Was 19 years old when he was sent to Iraq. Him and two other young brave soldiers where on patrol and hit a road side bomb. ONLY BY THE GRACE OF GOD, did I get my son back. The two other families where not as fortunate. My son is one of our wounded warriors. may God be with each and every soldier that goes over there for us
Praise God Lori that your son came home & thank you for the sacrifices your son & family has made! Prayers & blessings to your family! Yes, prayers to all the wounded soldiers & to those who are still fighting for keeping us free! I pray for protection of my brother every day he is shipping out in January & we don't know when we will hear from him. God bless
Tell him thank you for his sacrifise. Even if some arent on behalf of every last american here at home we are thankful he went out to fogbt them there sow e dont have to here
I was in Afghanistan 6 times for the German Armed Forces from 2001-2005 and the images from there live forever in my soul. We cannot forget what happened to us there😞
My war was over fifty years ago, and last week…my heart goes to all of my brothers and sisters who served and are serving now…God bless all of you and those close to us.
God bless you all for your courage and it is an honor to have you as my guardians of the flag and home land I get to call home . From myself and my family , THANK YOU . MAD RESPECTS
Having PTSD has been a difficult thing I have had to deal with from my 3 tours of Afghanistan and 1 in Iraq. To my brothers and sisters who suffer from PTSD I want you to know you are not alone or forgotten. Stay strong and ask for help if you want/need it.

And to all those that won't stand for our flag , pledge ,and anthem , I'LL HELP U Pack . 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Thank you for this amazing song. I suffer from PTSD. I still have horrible nights and days. I will always share this song to help bring awareness. I am here for all my brothers and sisters in arms. 22 a day is far too many to lose. Please reach out to a brother or sister you haven't talked to in a while, just to say hi and see how they are doing. Sometimes all it takes is for them to know they aren't alone.
I think you put it well. We have our horrible days and nights. We sometimes put on a good face for our loved ones and others. OIF 1. 2003-04 Diyala Province Iraq. Bless other fellow vets.
My husband lost his battle with ptsd and became one of the 22 a day to end their life. I now do everything I can to keep his memory alive for our 5 children
I joined when I was 17 I’m 33 now and I still deal with things from the Army it’s something you can never turn off or forget. To all the service members dealing with PTSD stay strong and get help life gets better. Remember to always dig deep and never stop fighting.
I'm standing beside you, my brothers...different age, different war...but the symptoms are the same!. I can never be the same person I was and nor can you be...until someone decides to understand how hard it really was.
Joe, I served in Desert Storm, and I Enjoyed This Video a Lot, I've Suffered from PTSD fro over 22 Year's, But I've held on because I still Refuse to go and let the Enemy Win By Living, Today I have an 11 Year old son who is 100 % Patriotic like the Old Man, and I tell him Alway's Remember those who Died for Freedom, Thank's for Doing This Video, it Means a Lot, Billy Brinsfield, 385TH SIGNAL Co, Desert Storm.
I have a buddy that was in the 24th ID, lead Bradley in the left hook. That war was short but intense, keep your head up soldier. Former 96B here, OEF/OIF. Hooah!
Your brothers have not left you they stand with you everyday praying for you to push forward and come through this for you. Never forget you can do this for you.
This hits home for me. I spent 9 months in a hospital after my IED hit my vehicle. I think any soldier or marine can relate to this song. It is exactly how I feel every day. Almost every few hours.
This hits so hard right now. My boyfriends PTSD is raging in this moment and I feel helpless even though I'm doing everything. No matter what, you are my soldier, my hero! I love you.
Jessica Anderson Keep loving him and support him by listening. Encourage him to connect with other Vet's. Vet's understand each other. He needs them. Wounded Warriors is another good resource. I have supported this organization. Half the Battle is a belief in God. If you have family support, all the better for you. God Bless to you both, and your boyfriend is a hero for his service and sacrifice for our country. Retired hospital chaplain
When you go out to eat let him sit on the side of the booth that gives him sight of the door. The soldiers don’t like anyone coming up from behind. They also want complete control over the situation if someone comes in and wants to rob the place or cause trouble. My husband is Vietnam vet I am watching where I sit so he can watch the door.
From a Vietnam veteran (me) USMC to you guys that took the fight to Afghanistan and Iraq, thank you for the job well done and this astoundingly important video. Welcome home. I hope everyone gets the messages this video shows. As an American citizen....I owe you all. Thank you.
Thank you for your service in Vietnam. I am sorry you were all treated the way you were back then. it's a shame no one understands how much you guys gave. salute to you brother.
Beautiful song. I see it as a tribute for all western world soldiers fighting overseas. Thanks to every western world soldier! Greetings from The Netherlands.
I think everyone if they get a chance to watch this video. Just maybe a person will realize what a person in the services went through. Some was bless to return home and so many didn't. Thank you for all your services. You are truly a hero. God bless you
From a Australian Vietnam veteran I salute you brave brother soldiers. Doesn’t matter what war, you gave your best mate. Well DONE. TO all middle eastern veterans your government doesn’t deserve you. If they did no one would be talking their lives. Great job men. 👍👍👍👍👍👍
Joe Bachman I don't think I've ever heard someone nail the feeling so well. I'm one of the 20% you mentioned that have PTSD. Thank You for remembering us, and for putting the numbers up there, I don't think people realize there are 400,000 of us, and more growing every day. You made this old soldier cry.
My nephew went into the US Army as an 18 year old kid and was sent to Afghanistan after basic training. He wasn't injured physically but he came home with severe PTSD that drove him to try to take his life. He was forced to kill 3 people, one of them was a kid younger than my nephew. He was committed twice to the VA mental ward as he called it. It was so heartbreaking to see him go through the pain and suffering. It took several years but, he has finally started doing well. He is married and has a newborn son. He'll never be the same but he is still here and getting his life back. Thank you to all who serve to keep our country free and Thank you sir for another great video.
This one hurts a lot my oldest son became one of 22 and as a service connected disabled veteran I’m mad but as his father I am completely devastated 💔💔💔💔 Derek’s dad FE33 (1/21/22)
I think of my son who suffers from PTSD and TBI. this makes me cry thinking all these soldiers had to endure just for our freedom. The nightmares, the sleepless nights I watch him. These soldiers need more opportunities t help them. Not budget cuts taken away from them. There are to many veterans are homeless that need our help.. I know they have some programs but they need more to help these soldiers,. Thank you for their services.
Karen Vance One organization I have supported is Wounded Warriors. They have a website and it would be a good resource for your son. Other Vet's he can connect with who would understand him. Keep loving your son, and tell him you won't bail out on him. Be strong for him, all with the help of God. If he believes in God, some of that Battle is won. For he and your family, thank you is never enough for his service to our country. God Bless. Retired hospital chaplain
Outstanding lyrics and video. The words "Thank You" will never be big enough to express our gratitude and our pride for the men and women who serve to protect our country and our freedom.
3 combat deployments Iraq in the Marine Corps infantry 2005 to 2009. I was diagnosed with ptsd. And still fight it to this day. Thank you brother Semper Fi
Thank you for your service I’m sorry for the hell you went through and are still going through...your service is NOT taken for granted...I live free because of heroes like you!
There are some things that we can not get past or over. Im here, but my emotional being was lost. My family are the ones that suffer from that. Even with a painted on smile they can see the truth in my eyes.
I just graduated boot camp and going into infantry training. The amount of respect I have for these guys . It’s crazy to think I’m going through the same training they went through . My prayers go out to their family and friends and those who are suffering with ptsd
OMG, this touched my heart!!!!!! I just want to take all these guys into my arms and hug them so hard!!!! Please everyone support them all in their pain!!! No one should ever feel alone! !!!! All they did was for us, reach out, we all need it!!💕💕💕💕💕
This is what's makes me mad when people disrespect our flag you got veterans like this that puts their life on the line for our freedom God bless all the women and men served in the military future and past military thank you for your service
I was living in the US studying in college during desert storm and i remember seeing American flags flown in front every single house and building no matter what neighbourhood it was, rich poor middle class everyone flew that flag and it really struck me because i never realized just how patriotic americans are and how much they love their country. You guys i have to say r a pretty awesome bunch of ppl and thank u for making my time in the US some of the best years of my life. It does not matter whos side anybody is on anymore we are all dealing with loss of human life and then there r those they left behind that r greiving and mourning for the ones they lost please accept my deepest condolences on both sides of every single war taking place in this world as we speak. I know how you feel about being busted and that's not the case we have done things most will only see on the news or in movies. You're not alone brother and never will be we got each other.
Damien Bartlett that song got me too. You're not alone brother. We warriors are never broken just seen and done things most will never truly understand. Remember how we tell our kids stories about monsters we just make sure they never see the teeth of them monsters.

God truly blessed America when he gave us men like these who are willing to lose their life for people who don't even appreciate theirs. My dad is a veteran, 1st division Infantry when he was medically retired. My brother was active duty reserves when he finished his term. I may not always like the President and what they're doing, not getting into politics people, that kills sometimes. But I will never stop loving the soldiers who are active, soldiers who are retired in any way, and the soldiers who died for the land they love.
I'm also a vet and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for this outstanding song/ video. Hopefully this will help bring thing into prospective for those who do not know what it means to suffer with PTSD.

Not a soldier, but I do suffer from PTSD from severe neglect and abuse as a child. I still have nightmares every night from what I saw and experienced. Although this song does not perfectly match what I saw, it perfectly matches what I feel. Honors to those soldiers who couldn't make it back.

Great job thanks

God bless every men and women for that survice
I am so very thankful for his sacrifices and for the love your family has for him as a man and warrior🩵 and I am grateful he overcame those things he had to do for his brothers and sisters over there he’s a good man. Much love and prays for us all🙏
Thank you for your service and sacrifice young man I hope you live your life in peace and happiness ❤
Welcome home , Home of the free because of the brave. I grew up as a navy brat father was 42 year submariner
Grew up around military bases and military people most of my life .after 42 years active duty my father was a recruiter we always had young men far from home that my folks would bring home to have BBQ swim get togethers because he knew what it was like to be so far from family when he was on tour.so now
We do donations drives every few months getting stuff together for homeless vets living on the streets here in Georgia breaks my heart no one that serves should be treated that way I know for some it’s there choice because of PTSD they don’t feel like can live normal life but gust sitting and talking with them helps I believe I get more out it then they do just to take the time to listen or show that you truly care means a lot to them.
These two young men are what true hero’s are after all been through still see life is still great
True story: I met a gentleman, about my age (mid sixties- Vietnam Era), at the NASCAR race at Watkins Glen on 06-AUG-2016. He was wearing a baseball cap with, "Disabled American Veteran Chapter 7."
I reached out to shake his hand and said to him, "Thank you for your service and welcome home brother." He turned and said, "I'm not home yet. Only about 40%" He then put his hand up to his mouth as to shield everyone from what he was going to say and said, "And it's not physical, if you know what I mean." I told him, "I completely understand and good luck with your healing."
What else could I say? He caught me completely off guard but I was very impressed with his honesty and willingness to share his story.
"and willingness to share his story"
Sometimes we're willing to share our story, the problem is, at least for me, no one wants to listen.
@@ericshimer6669 Yea, I've tried, but thanks anyways.
Take care.

Sorry R.I.
Actually it’s more stressing that they got PTSD from Things “they did”. It was human on both sides…
Yes,I suffer from PTSD.ive seen a number give their own life's in Civilian street. The more publicity that raises the issue is good.

Thank you for the posting of this video. People today don't understand what we have to live with everyday of our lasting life.

I lost my brother to PTST also! It's like a disease germ that infests and grows within but you can't even tell it's there! He was the ultimate gentleman! So kind loving caring and generous! He was my BEST FRIEND!!! I MISS HIM SO VERY MUCH!!!
Sgt, never give up, never give in, please remember, there are many people who stand behind you and appreciate all you have done for us, and would love a chance to give something back to you! I have had many friends who were Vietnam vets who had PTSD and I stood still and let them take it out on me or cry with me or whatever they needed and I just loved them!!
I struggle with post traumatic stress disorder everyday 😫......I'm by myself everyday...I want to go home 🏡 and reunite with family 👪

My husband has been battling injuries for so long... 80 surgeries in 20 yrs, bilateral amputee and the loss of digits in both hands due to chemical warfare destroying his body. When the towers were hit he was tormented because he couldn’t go fight... once a soldier, always a soldier. Every veteran deserves recognition and praise.
God bless you for staying by his side and god bless him for his service and may he continue to fight. Thank you for your service brother.
God bless our Americas soldiers who died in foreign lands I'm thankful they never left their own behind and brought our soldiers home we salute and love you much respect from a proud American to all of you who wore that uniform and did what you were ordered to do.

Not a soldier, but I do suffer from PTSD from severe neglect and abuse as a child. I still have nightmares every night from what I saw and experienced. Although this song does not perfectly match what I saw, it perfectly matches what I feel. Honors to those soldiers who couldn't make it back.
