This is truly an incredible song. I was in the streets of Iraq in 2004 and it was indescribable. Not appropriate for a TH-cam comment. But I lost a brother named Rodney Jones. He was taken in western Baghdad in a town called Abu Ghraib. I carried his death with me when I came home and it destroyed me. I got into a car accident and had a terrible head injury yet I survived by the grace of god. But the war wasn’t done with me because I still ended up a homeless alcoholic 4 years ago. I was at the end but I met a woman in one of the hotels I was living in. I started hanging out with her everyday and she helped me realize that god didn’t cast me to the pits of hell for what I had done. 2 years ago I put down the bottle. A year and a half ago I bought a house and got married the next day. All it took was Jesus Christ. But back to Rodney Jones. My left shoulder is covered in a soldier’s cross tattoo dedicated to him and I must admit that this is an equal tribute. Thank you brother and may god be with you at all times.
Having lost my husband in Iraq this song has touched me so much. Thank you for your service to our country and for this amazing tribute to our fallen friends and family.
Nathan, Sir I listened to this song and I too was brought to tears. I've had family that's fought in every American war up to myself in this era. I thought about my older brother and my grandpa who was a WW2 vet, my uncles that were spat on after Vietnam. This song moved us all. Thank you for singing this and for hitting it home. - SPC Stephens
Nathan, I do not have family who served, since my father back in 1940's in the Navy. He past years ago at 89. I have met someone who served as a Marine. His son also served as a Marine. I have heard a story about his son who served over seas, on a mission, there were only two Marines that returned.....one his son and the other he now calls his son.......every year they honor those who haven't returned.......they get their dress blues on and go to Arlington and pay respect to those fallen soldiers....He has show me this video many times, it moves him every time he views it. It has effected me also.........I thank you for your voice.......
Currently serving right now and my buddy is deployed right now. Got to basic 5 days before I turned 18. I turn 20 in 2 months. Its definitely been an experience. Thank you for your service sgt and I'm happy to be apart of this. It's not easy watching your buddy leave without you. I simply didnt make the list. I'm honored to serve however I can. Thank you again.
What a powerful tribute, the song, the artist performance, the video. This should be a new standard played by all radio stations on Veterans Day. Salute !!!
Thank you for your bravery for this great Country and who ever disliked this can just go on this song is one of my favorite songs and soldier's light is my favorite. Nathan thank you
This is one hell of a tear jerker for me. A good friend of mine was taken out by an IED in 2010 traveling down the road in Afghanistan... He's the one who inspired me to enlist, and I can't listen to this song without thinking of him. Thank you SSG for recognizing his sacrifice, it means a lot.
Thanks for listening and Im sorry for your loss. Seems from the 6 degrees of seperation, we all know someone close that has paid the sacrifice. Thank you for your service as well. Airborne!
Nathan you and all other poeple who write songs like this i must say they are beautiful and i must say thank you i almost lost my father to war when i was 9, im 16 now and have lost him twice form disabilitys from war. he has come back each time because he has had the Encourgement from songs like these that his time is not yet up and he has life left, thank you man i really appreciate this and all you do for our coountry men in red, white and blue
Thank you for your service and this song. My son is a Marine. Just returned from his 1st deployment. My daughger-in-laws brother, who currently lives with me, is an Army Iraq Vet. Some of the stories he has told rips my heart. It breaks my heart that so many still don't understand the price y'all pay. Doesn't matter your job, rank or position. You're all family and you all sacrifice your freedom so we can continue to have ours. God Bless ALL our Military Men and Women and you can count me as a continued Military Supporter. Please let me know if you ever need anything. Prayers, Love and Hugs. Marine Mom (My Sister, Army -- Brother, Navy. -- Cousin, Navy. Vietnam...My Dad, Air Force, Uncle, Navy. Korean War...Great Uncle, Navy, WWII).
Thanks for listening Luanne, and thank your family for their service for me as well. Thats quite a long lineage of American Warfighters! I like it. God bless ya
USMC OIF OEF veteran brother this song made me tear up remembering the fallen brothers and sisters who didn't make back with us the hardest thing to do is push on after your battle is hit and gone
Thanks for taking the time to listen brother. Glad you like it, sorry you can relate. Our cross to bare, in the end though, it’s better for us to bare to bare that cross than others.
My Uncle lost his life in Vietnam exactly a month into his deployment with B CO, 3RD BN, 187TH INFANTRY, 101ST ABN DIV. My family knows just what it feels like to loose someone to a conflict. That isn't to say however that my family hasn't risen to the occasion to the nations call. Needless to say I will be the 8th Generation in my family to Enlist and fight with our Armed Forces. Beautiful song. Hooah!
Nathan , puedo escucharte y verte un millón de veces, y no me canso, me encanta la melodía y tu voz.... excelente coreografía... felicidades ❤❤❤❤bendiciones a ti eh familia.
This song honestly bring's tears to my eyes, to think about people waiting for a relative that's coming home in a box, it chills me to the core to think that my cousin is becoming a Combat Engineer in the Marine Corps, I think I will start to cry whenever I Skype him on base once he's through Basic.
Nathan Fair I also wanted to enlist in the Army Airborne, what is jumping out a plane like? I honestly would want to be in the 173rd Airborne, but I really don't care.
Every time I listen to this song it reminds me of my grandfather who served in veitnam he came back home safe but he had got a cancer from being in that fight. It also reminds me of my other grandfather who served in veitnam and survied a bomb that dropped on his fox hole he was the only one out seven people to make it out alive every one jumped on top of him to save him he still lives to day thanks to doses six soldiers.
By far one of the most powerful songs I've heard in a long time. Sadly I have a bracelet with the name of a brother in arms who made the ultimate sacrifice in Afghanistan, so this song hits home for me.
The whole United States hose all the servicemen and women at debt of gratitude and loyalty it kills me that so many didn't make it home and so many are suffering now thank you all for your service
Being in the U.S. Army Reserves for 5yrs now I have not ben deployed but I have lost many friends over there though and this song hit's that spot I thank you for your service Nathan Fair

Very cool video, well thought out, extremely touching. The song itself is a wonderful tribute to our brave countrymen, so often their sacrifices are forgotten. Our country needs more people like you, so gifted, using your talent&raw emotion so no one is forgotten. God Bless you&all your fellow battle buddies&thank you for your unselfish service to our country.
Nathan this is a powerful song. I wasn't in the service. But do have family in there. Brother I gotta tell ya something. I was touched by your singing and this video. Top Notch. Simple and supports the song without the flashy crap on most videos these days. The song is just awesome. I wish the radio, CMT and GAC would play this.
Good Job on the song and thank you so much for you're dedication to the country we love. And for all the fallen soldiers, they will be missed everyday and we honor them for their service and sacrifice. I have family in the Military and know many people who never made it home and its heart warming to know people can take time out their life to honor the fallen soldiers to keep this country going, this song is very touching and thank you for being one of those people who take time to honor them. I have been training with my retired military family my entire life to be a Marine, and I'm joining out of highschool. Going into Infantry.. It's gonna be an honor to become a United States Marine and Serve and protect the country that we love and Cherish. Just wanna thank you for you're service. Stay safe out there..
Stay strong, and great song, keep on keepin on, from the great white north up here in Canada. My Mother sent me your video today, currently waiting to transfer to the armored regiment back east, Combat engineers been good but not enough. This song brought a tear to my eye, I lost an instructor last summer on base, only minutes after shaking his hand talking about meeting up for beers, and to my uncle Sgt, Draeger who passed away being struck by a drunk driver in January. Thank you for your talent and passion, and keep on fighting the good fight! Good luck to you and the troops on your future endeavors.
Wow an amazing and touching song sir. I share it with everyone I can, especially soldiers coming home to a rough time here in the states. I really wish I could share this with my grandfather he server with the 96th infantry division back in WW2 fought on Okinawa he would have really appreciated this song. I'm going to enlist after high school wish me luck and thanks for your service sir.
Thank you for the song, brother. I lost my LT in a firefight in Uruzgon Province, Afghanistan Nov. 26, 2007. Your song is a great honor to 2LT Scott Lundell and all of the many that have made the ultimate sacrifice.
I remember watching this video(live) when it was first uploaded. It was/is always stuck in my mind. My sister and brother in law were both in Iraq and I've had multiple close friends get deployed and it's hard to see them return different. But never give up on them and try to understand even though I never will.
Nathan, I just want to tell you that you did a wonderful job with this song and the video. After a friend of mine posted it on Facebook I couldn't help but share it with everyone I know. Many have served and I know they understand better than I about what you did there. Best of luck!
All I can say is wow. My husband came across this yesterday and shared it with me. Powerfully moving song that gets both of us to the core. I've shared it with our friends and hope they do the same. RLTW!
Nathan, First Thank you for your service and all that you do and have done. I Love this song, and want to help in any way I can to share it. So I will Share with you some things that have helped me: Get a G+ account. I have face book and twitter but G+ has been like the two combined and better, More more professional so to speak. And better at getting shares, views, etc. look at the communities I joined and had great luck sharing my "Soldier's Light" Tribute. This is how I came across your video tonight. Second... I will share your video privately with "Stolen Valor" on fb If they post it they like to do it in a great way. Stolen Valor is where I really got started so to speak when they shared my video. I shared your "Fallen Soldier" on my G+ page and here is what I wrote: I came across this video. It was released about 1 month before "Soldier's Light". I have over 123,000 views, Nathan has over 6,000 One of the hardest things for me when I first released was wanting to share my tribute, and finding a means to reach those to whom it was meant to be gifted too. "Soldier's Light" has had so many beautiful comments, support, thumbs up, shares and subscribers. I believe "Fallen Soldier" by Nathan Fair is a gift and a great song. Please help support Nathan and this video,. Nathans song "Fallen Soldier" is worthy and deserving listening, sharing, and supporting, its a great song and tribute. Please give it the support it deserves and tell Nathan Thank You for serving our Country. :) Rylee
Rylee, as always your gracious ways never cease to amaze me. Such a mature, kind hearted person at such a surprisingly tender age. Nathan's song is a beautiful&touching tribute to our soldiers. Hopefully he will follow your advice&let the rest of the world hear his beautiful tribute. God Bless you both.
Rylee, thank you. Im hoping it gets out there more! I appreciate the support, and I have put your song on blast on fan page as well, a few months back. I will re-engage.
Yvonne, Barbra Thank you for the kind words and for supporting me. Lewis Thank you for sharing. Nathan, I love Fallen Soldier and I really want to help share it. I also watched one of your other videos and I agree, that's why I want to help, because its the right thing to do
Nathan I want to tell you that I saw this video on Facebook. It is so very gut reneging beautiful and heart warming. It brought back all the thoughts I had when I was in combat. I cried and normally videos don't bring me to tears. Thank you thank you for doing this song and video. 1Sgt Bobbye
Thank you Nathan for standing for your brothers. My brother was an 11b with the 101st airborne for 3 years, served in Iraq, than went into New York's legendary 69th infantry regiment which I will be going into in a couple of months also as an 11b. RIP to our fallen brothers and sisters, may they RIP and stay strong to those both visible and invisible injuries caused by combat
I have always wanted to join the Marines but my cerebral palsy holds me back so for all those going to fight for our country be safe and fight extra hard for me. Also thanks to all who have served in our armed forces.
@Nathan Fair Amazing song, i myself have lost family in Iraq. From now on every year on his birthday I am going to play this song to my family. Because it perfectly represents what happened on that day. I would like to ask you what music you used for this because I would love to sing this for my family as well if that is fine with you! Thanks please answer! RIP Staff Sergent Jeremy Katzenberger

Thanks for being a fan Curtis, and thanks for your service as well
This song is one of the best songs I've ever heard keep doing what your doing.
Sorry for your loss. I am happy to honor where I can. Thank you for listening
In the deepest darkest nights we have this to console us
I remember watching this video(live) when it was first uploaded. It was/is always stuck in my mind. My sister and brother in law were both in Iraq and I've had multiple close friends get deployed and it's hard to see them return different. But never give up on them and try to understand even though I never will.
Thanks Tommy for stopping by and taking the time to listen, back then and now. Im glad you like this song.

I shared your "Fallen Soldier" on my G+ page and here is what I wrote:
I came across this video. It was released about 1 month before "Soldier's Light". I have over 123,000 views, Nathan has over 6,000
One of the hardest things for me when I first released was wanting to share my tribute, and finding a means to reach those to whom it was meant to be gifted too. "Soldier's Light" has had so many beautiful comments, support, thumbs up, shares and subscribers. I believe "Fallen Soldier" by Nathan Fair is a gift and a great song. Please help support Nathan and this video,. Nathans song "Fallen Soldier"
