This song... God, its beautiful. I'm a Marine, who served in Fallujah, Iraq, as well as Afghanistan. I lost a lot of brothers. People can never see what we have. And I thank God above for that. When my wife asked about my PTSD, trying to understand, I just played for her this song. When it was done, she just looked at me in tears, and it helped her grasp that it isn't just being sad. We all lose something when we deploy. And we can never let go of what we've been through. But the military is a family. And even if we don't know each other, we love each other.
Hunter, may I just say that my husband also has PTSD but his is not combat related, and I still struggle to understand. It is very hard to deal with and has changed our lives, not for the better, I might add. May God bless you and your family this Christmas and throughout the years to come. Love and blessings from Australia.
21 years in my case an still, earlier this week, i dived for cover inside a food store when 1 of their employes turned over a shelf behind me causing it to come crashing to the ground with a loud bang....
16 years for me and I still have my moments. I have to work night shifts as working days regularly is uncomfortable and abnormal for me. Loud noises and explosions do not affect me still to this day. This song is almost a perfect rendition of myself and many of my friends from the desert.
Am a mother of a brave Army ( 8 years ) son. He returned and has shut his whole family out. We have no clue why or where he is or if he is homeless or passed away. My second son ( Airforce ) just passed away so we women are lost without our sons & brothers. Your song hurts ! Sing in LOUDER & PLEASE TALK TO YOUR FAMILIES YOU LEFT BEHIND !
Prayers for you and yours. Today, we honor veterans, but it is so important to remember the pain quietly carried in the hearts of the family members of those veterans. The loss and wounds you have are just as real. My heart goes out to you. I can sympathize with you more than you know. An old veteran.
WOW.. this is the first time i sat down to llisten to this song and i must say, this is me through and through. even though i left the combat zone in 2004, and the service in 2006, i can still feel everything just as if it were an hour ago. this song gave me so many chills and tears. i still get crazy looks because i would much rather be alone in a dark room, than be around my friends and family. God only knows how many times that i had wished that i never made it home. anyway.. thank you all for your support, yall do not know what it means to us veterans
When I was over there, I kept wanting to get back home. And now I'm here - and I want to go back out there. I wasn't even old enough to buy my own beer when I first saw a friend put in the ground.
Still here in 2020. 9 years Army Infantry and 3 deployments. It has been 4 years since leaving the military and these words still hold true. To all my brothers and sisters; past and present, keep your head up. You are not alone and will never be alone. Never give in to the war within. I truly love you all and I understand!!
Forget us not Here we lie beneath the poppies Blowing in the Flanders air Do not forget our sacrifice Do not forget that we were there Young men forged in heat of battle Neighbors, brothers, sons Lost in time, with just our markers Lost to lie, beneath the sun Remember us as men of valor Remember what we came to do We came, and died, do not forget us We gave our lives up, just for you Forget us not, beneath the poppies Where the sky is no longer dark Remember us as long dead heroes We came, we fought, we left our mark Forget us not, please pass the torch on Forget us not, more than this day Forget us not, we were all soldiers And we remain so....all the way!!! Forget us not.... Roger Turner , 201511
That is my friend and brother Chris Corbin featured in the video. He is a true hero and one of the best people that I have had the honor and privilege of serving with. I wish more people in this world had half the heart and love for this country as this man.
I wish my Daddy was here to hear this beautiful song. At 17 he enlisted in the Army to go fight in WWII. He went on to become a career Air Force pilot after college on the GI Bill. He served in Korea and Vietnam. I think dropping bombs as a B52 pilot haunted him. I know the affects of those 3 wars stayed with him for the rest of his life and had a huge impact on his poor relationship with my brother. He left us in early 2020 at the age of 96, I miss him every day.
@@bobleeswagger5850 youre a weird negative creep so what if he has the union jack maybe he respects all the flags that fought in these battles or maybe he likes britain or maybe he lives there and came from poland so get a grib 5g robot drone and im from the uk nothing wrong with the place
I did 5 tours in the Middle East as a US Marine and this brings to life what I am dealing with on a personal level. I spent 21 years in. If you were not there you won’t understand the torment that we deal with. War changes you for life. I lost a really close friend who I knew since we were 4 years old. That pain has never left.
I'm not American. Never had much experience with anything close to the military. But I know from the bottom of my heart I respect the hell out of all the brave men and women fighting through hell and back to keep their home safe.
I am a US Army Captain, i listen to this with my unit every day at work, we are Explosive Ordnance and have had some experiences that we will never forget. My proudly defend our country and support our fellow service members
I am so happy for him and his family is dreams came true and now he's one of my favorite country artists so I'm just catching up on AGT and I just want to tell him congratulations that's awesome🎉😊❤
I am taking the liberty of sharing a friends story. I know George would not mind. He has been my dentist for 18 years and became a good friend. He is now 72 and stills walks like a soldier. I knew he was in Vietnam in the early years and that he was a pilot shot down behind enemy lines and survived on his own for two weeks. He was not the one that told me that. His office is on the second floor with big windows. I would think, WOW he is waiting for me. This last visit, I asked him if I could ask him a few questions and he said sure. My first question was what are you looking at out the window? His reply "the fighter planes". My second question was do you often think of Vietnam? His reply "every day". God bless him and all of our service men and women.
I hear rotor blades and engines and I'm right back in Bosnia. A lot of folks don't know a lot about what happened over there... it was a news blip a couple of times, but they never really tell people what was going on. They boil it down to ethnic cleansing, but it was a whole lot more than that for my Army Company and I. I am there every single day...
after three combat tours 03, 04 and 2012 and almost 13 years of service. its been over 3 years since i was discharged and i still can't let it go. i graduated from college, i have a job, and a family but I still feel empty inside. Nothing in my life can compare to what it is like to have been a active duty Marine. I miss it, I miss the brotherhood, the good and bad times, i miss having the eagle globe and anchor over my heart
Thank you for your service , My son just just left Nov 14 2016 for the marine's boot camp and my heart hurts , miss him already so much and It's just the beginning.
EpicWin1812 everyone has a different experience, death is your fear not mine. it will come for us all no matter where you are and what you do. Why is it people like you like to insult someone behind a keyboard, does it make you feel like a better man? I do take care of my family and spend all my free time with them. its when im alone that the memories come back.
Heath Davis take the ASVAB serious. it will determine what you qualify for and what you will be able to do once you are serving. Also stay in good shape.
26 years Marines 🫡 12 missions. PTSD is real! A photo of my heaven kept me on my feet and fighting. Bible in one pocket. Rosary around my neck. Pray every night and every morning.
Been home from Nam for 50 years and that uniform still haunts me. I know it will never leave me . Its burned in my core. I was only 19 now at 70 it still hangs on.
"You can take the kid out of the military, but you can't take the military out of the kid." Sometimes that's a good thing. In the worst of cases, it's not. Welcome Home, elder Brother. Your generation was my T.I.s, my senior NCOs, my C.O,.s. The lessons and quality training I learned from all you guys saved my bacon more than once. Blessings (and real Peace) to you and yours, sir.
To a Vietnam veteran, your courage is a testament to the resilience and strength that define you. You answered the call of duty in a time of uncertainty and faced challenges that many will never fully comprehend. Know that your bravery and sacrifice have not been forgotten. You are a symbol of endurance and honor. Continue to hold your head high, knowing that the grit and determination you showed then are still within you now. Your service was not in vain, and your legacy of courage will forever inspire those who follow.
well, when I lost my left eye, both legs from the knees down, and my left arm from the elbow down, the government basically said to me, 'sorry to hear that, here's enough money to cover your hospital bill and have a good life'
Right there with you, astral limits. We cry for the ones who no longer have to. Thanks for standing your part of the line. It was my honor to cover your six from my part of that line as well.
Still hands down one of the all-time greatest songs I've ever heard. Never fails to hit like a truck right in the feels. I am a US Soldier and combat vet that just left active duty and am now trapped in this miserable civilian existence 95% of the time. No they never taught me to take it off, but i don't think I ever really want to. When I was wearing that uniform was the only time in my life that I was something. Without it is nothing but hate and whiskey. Never should have taken it off while I still had a breath in me.
+Fergus McCallum a little bit of both, I transferred to the Army Reserve when the army said that I had been in too long to go to cyber Defense, so now I am chasing it on my own
My dad fought during the first civil war in Nigeria to him he was fighting for his country and against the enemy of the nation. He talks about the war and prays there’d be no war in Nigeria again cause of its effect on mankind. I came here from AGT
God bless each & every soldier who has fought for this country... please let them know how much they are greatly appreciated for all they have done & sacrificed for those of us at home... may they find moments of joy & peace in each day for themselves... they are the brave warriors who deserve recognition for all that they do for those of us who live in safety at home... Many thanks to each & every soldier & prayers of safety for them.
Thank your dad fro me! God Bless our Veterans - past, present, and those to come! Side note: My little brother takes his practice ASVAB tomorrow with the recruiter for the ARMY before he takes the official test!
This is why I have the highest and upmost respect for the men and women who serve our country. They didn’t have to do it and sometimes they never leave.
I was the only person my grandpa would talk to about his time in Vietnam. Every time he talked about it i could see his story play out in his eyes. I believe he never truly came back from overseas. I miss him dearly to me he will always be my hero even though he said he wasn't.
This song really hits home. My son fresh out of high school joined the US Army. He graduated basic on 11/6/2014. He has a passion for our country and is proud to serve. He listens to this song daily. I can feel the emotions when you sing Mitch....I am so proud of every man & woman who has so humbly without hesitation chose to serve our country and protect our freedoms. At my sons graduation the words that stuck to me are....."These soldiers are our hero's, they don't want us to feel sorry for them, they want us to be proud of them" words of the ds of 1-61st INF REG 165th BDE. I am so proud of my son and every american soldier and the path they have chosen. This is a very well written song Mitch, thank you for sharing it with us.
I cried the first few times hearing this, and kept coming back to it. It haunted me for a while. My Daddy is a Marine, and my sweetheart is an Army Veteran. I finally found what God intended for me to hear... it's the last verse. Don't you know the American Soldier will always win the war...
Just so you young guys understand that feeling never goes away, it’s been fifty years since I seen combat, and I still wish I was there. But you learn to live with it, carry on brothers⚔️ MACVSOG 🇺🇸
God is that not the truth! It just never leave you no matter how much times passes. I can still smell it, I hear it, and so many things take me back to those sounds of the bullet cracking by. It's crazy how you miss the rush of it all. Semper Fi. 0369
KFOR 99, it's right wish i can go Back. It was my worst and best time of my live. No realy Combat there, but what you say Wish can go Back, ist true and prompted me to answer you comment. I dnt know what it is. Stay strong Guys. Greetings from GER
Thanks your service and my dad was in the army for 20yrs and retired 3 yrs ago and my brother is in the army and he deploying soon , I am taking 1 day at a time !
I may not know what it's like to be in the military as I'm only 14 but I know what it's like to lose someone you love because of the military and that is my future job when I become 18
I served as a medic and combat advisor. Baqubah Fob warhorse november 05 to november 06 and mosul marez/diamondback november 2007 to February 2009. I hear alot of things when I close my eyes. I hear the screams of our men. I hear the desperate cries of full grown men screaming for doc. Pleading with me to save our brother who is already gone. I hear the snap of bullets cracking over my head. Every night when I close my eyes I relive both tours. My body came home, but so much of me I fear, will never return.
Same here , also gave me chills ,exactly what these lyrics the video and Mitch Rossell's hauntingly beautiful vocals bring to life'' Man's inhumanity to man.''
I was so blessed to meet and help a young Sergeant from FortBragg December the 20 th 2019 while he was enroute to his family when he broke down I thank God for that experience helping him get his truck repaired and home to his family has been the best Christmas I have had in my lifetime! I would stand in front of a Mack truck or take a bullet for you Sarge!!!!we love and respect our military here in Marion Nc! God bless you Sergeant Hendricks! Praying for your safety and all your men by your side
For the song- it is heart wrenching, but a good one. For all of the present, past and future vets I read posting remarks, I can Never repay you , or your Family, for the Freedom and Rights , my Family , and myself enjoy, for the Sacrifices each of you represent, as well as my son in law, a Marine ,(until The 'you know what' got him kicked out for Not taking it. He tells me "Once a Marine, Always a Marine", and he is trying to get re- instated now, he and his buddies). I am proud of each and everyone of you for your service, and all the missed family time for you all,GOD bless you all. My ' Thank you' is so small compared to your service, but Each of you have it.
My husband served for 20 years in the Air Force and every time he came home from deployment I can tell you he looked the same, but each time his smile dimmed more and more. Now that he’s been out for 2 years he still isn’t back and I understand that, but his parents and siblings don’t understand.
To all the service men and women, thank you from the bottom of my heart. I’m here, in Japan, an American, living a wonderful life with my Japanese wife and our two children. Without the sacrifice of the brave men and women of our country, my life would not be possible. Thank you for your sacrifice and may God bless you and your families 🙏😔
This is going on repeat and I'm gonna cry every single second. Been out since 2010 and I still have night terrors that won't end, I'm alcoholic and nobody around me to relate with.
I have to say man, I'm really sorry about what you has to go through. I must say though, Jesus is the one thing that can help you with this. Therapy and people can help, but it fades. Jesus says, "I will never leave you nor forsake you." He can help you.
I am a vet going thru ptsd and this song really hit home. Right now I am in a VA residential program for ptsd in Miami and my message for all the vets out there, get help, I held my trauma for 13 years and going thru this program has worked for me and the staff in Miami is the best at what they do. Go for it. Don't hold back. And you will feel a lot better, trust me.
From one NG to another....sorry for your loss. NG often gets ignored, but most don't realize how difficult it is to go back and forth from civilian to soldier with little warning or training,
From a air force cadet SSgt I want to say thank you for your service and thank you to the families brave enough to let there loved one go to war. I will always salute a veteran officer or not they went through hell and most if not all will do it again thank you for your service always respect our troops if it wasnt for them you wouldnt be able to complain and protest about the issues we have.
The ghost never leave, they are always looking over your shoulder. July 4 fireworks can be problematic, especially when the wind wafts the smell of the powder across to me. Every time I go to the Wall in DC, I cry.
Stand tall Soldier, first off thank you for your service. And you are brace, let the fears of your past stay as the past, let the future, be the future, and the new present. Make it one good life :) Otherwise, what does life mean, if it isn't good and great? :) Stay strong soldier ^ ^
as a veteran that's how we feel ,when ever I see or someone talks about the military I still remember everything ,I always felt like I was doing something for my country and my people, you never lose the honor you feel of serving your country
Thank you for your service. My son just joined the Navy..he just turned 18. So proud of him and the others that make the sacrifices they do to defend our beautiful country. God Bless America!!!
I have spoken with a few men that served and your words could not be any more truer, we have to do better for our servicemen and women of war, in helping them once they return to help them past a battle / a fight that truly does not leave but returns at times like a thief in the night, robbing them of Peace that they so deserve... My prayers is that we remember you all in our prayers, and get our communities to bring such awareness for you that somehow / in someway we can have a place for all to go for support when they are battling the Battle of the Bale Out of The Red, White and Blue... God Speed and God be with you all...
My Dad served two tours in Vietnam. We didn't know anything about PTSD back then but thinking back he would jump out of a chair if he heard a pop. Dad stayed in the Army 20 years. We were stationed in Iran for 3 yrs. Belgium and Japan. I can promise you we have the best country in the world! I am so grateful for the soldiers who serve.
I'm a USMC Brat. My Daddy served his entire life in service, for which I am always proud. I grew up in Cherry Point, Camp Le June, and on Parris Island. Regardless of the political BS involved, those who 'wrote the check' are and always will be my heroes!
my best friend is going to marines bootcamp this summer. I'm not ready for him to leave :(. I know its what he wants to do and he's going to be fighting for our country. keep him in your prayers
I can't belive people hate this video I had my greate grandfather storm the beach of Normandy and he saw things he shouldn't have keep doing what your doing veterans no matter what you are still serving our country thank you and I hope to join the mariens one day Ooh rah
Every time i listen to this I break down in tears for a long lost buddy of mine who served in the US Army came home for 6 months and he committed suicide from all the PTSD God bless yall we all care. We miss you brotha
Found this gem for an english homework I am Chinese, but I have incredible respect for the courage and brotherhood of the service members. So, thank you, thank your brothers and thank god that you are alive today. It is incredible that humans can make such selfless sacrifices for the sake of brothers.
Helosinhashow but it does and they choose to sign a blank check to everyone including and up to their lives, it takes a certain someone that cares to do what they do so even if you don't support the war still support our troops because they sacrifice so we people can be free
Hon, your ethnicity doesn't matter. Only that you appreciate us service members. As another great patriotic songs says, "i'm thankful for those thankful for the things I've done"
bro, I appreciate this. Given that you said you were chinese I am assuming you live in China, and it just seems so weird nowadays for foreigners who don't have direct contact with US military to not despise them. Every soldier sent into combat is like Jesus in a way. They came from a good place and go to a bad one, to protect people they don't know and risk and sometimes die for them. There is nothing we can do to repay them for that We all thank God for all our soldiers.
My father is a retired Army CW3. He served four tours over seas and every day I see his struggle, he struggles with PTSD. To every service member I want to say thank you for your service and commitment.
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ THANK YOU for writing this song!!! OUR SOLDIER are the TRUE HEROES! My husband is a SOLDIER and I now understand ALOT of what OUR SOLDIERS go through!!❤
always a soldier. I live my war all day. wish people could understand the war we live. God bless all those that have served before, and those serving now are in my prayers.
I may not be a soldier or enlisted of any type but I understand I have PTSD not from war though so I can't relate much but I still fight my own battles and I do wear a uniform for the civil air patrol air force auxiliary
still serving in the Marine Corps. I like to say I’m glad I keep putting in the good fight still to honor those who support us and those who don’t. To those who have served before me, with me, and after I’m done that I would like to thank all of you. Stay motivated brothers and sisters.
Anyone here from the 10th mountain division? 10 mtn div all the way!!! Thank you all for your service I will be joining the US ARMY soon. Please like, support, and pray for me and those men and women who are serving us. Hurrah!
To all you heroes reading this thank you for service. If any of y'all ever need to talk I am here I won't lie and say I understand. No civilian can ever say they truly do. My daddy served from the day he turned 18 until cancer took him from us.
Indeed we are, Fr4nz3L. It was one of the proudest times in my life when I was an 'exchange soldier' with the Bundeswehr troops at the nearest Kaserne to me (Koblenz) when I was living there in the late 80s. I was a USAF Airman assigned to the 38th Tactical Missile Wing at Wueschheim (Pydna), but I earned your Schutzenschnur the hard way, just like all the rest. Absolut, wir sind Waffenbrüder.
My brother was in The Marine Corps. The day he told me he joined I was so scared. Even though I wanted to ask him to stay I knew deep down in him that this is really what he wanted to do. And I didn’t want to stop him from living his dreams. I am so proud of him and what he has accomplished and no words can ever express that!! PROUD MARINE SISTER FOREVER!!
My late father is a United States Marine. Like you I'm very proud of him. Thank your brother for his service. Semper Fi from the proud daughter of a United States Marine
I'm good friends with a desert storm marine named Kevin he has given me some of his old stuff he is also a subscriber of mine as well sempter fi marines
WOW. I did 8 years in the Marine Corp and 9 in the Army as a medic. This song hits so close to home. I was disabled in 2011 and I miss it every day. It was my Idenity and my life. Every word of this song is how I feel everyday. It gives me goose bumps and tears everytime I hear it. God bless you Mitch and thanks.
Listening to this song, it makes me put myself in the pants of the true warriors of life, who defend the homeland with living blood. These people deserve everything that the law offers, not just psychological support, but to feel good about themselves. I would have had the opportunity to be a soldier but unfortunately it was not possible. But watching the video carefully, it makes us understand that in life war is not only lived fighting for a country, but also lived in current life, at work, with the family, with everyone. The important thing is that everyone has that thought that, to survive, you have to fight, and fight with a single purpose, which is to fight to fulfill your dreams. This video marks me, but a lot... Thank you soldiers, you are a great example for everyone (I include myself). Thank you so much.
Oh my heart!! I have never served.. But love so many who do and have.. And I felt this song deep in my soul. 😢💝 From the bottom of my heart.. THANK YOU to all who have served.. And currently serving!!!
Respect to ALL our fallen on both sides of the pond, friend. Despite the mess politicians make of things, they leave it up to the service men and women to do the hardest work, and bear the hardest consequences. I render a Veteran's salute to all of them. Lest we forget.
I got out in 2012 right before the Boston bombing and I tried go there but no one would let me cuz of the brain surgery I had going on but my brothers and sisters were out there and all I can see in this video is the scary memories and I wish the pain would stop but it's so true thank you for your ur support every vet needs something like this it helps more than people know
EXCELLENT!! Love it as I come from a very long military family who still serve. Thank you ALL who currently serve or served may God Bless ALL of you 🙏🇺🇸🙏🇺🇸
as a future marine it's tough from what I hear. so I'm prepared to do my duty for the thing I believe in and come home. Thank u to all past and present men and women who have served. thanks to my grandpa who served during the Korean war. Oorah grandpa.
As a SGT from Iraq, brother I can't explain but I wish to impart to you the pride instilled into putting that uniform on. So many brothers, of different creeds and services have given life times of sleepiness nights for those "pretty little ribbons" on our chests. I'd give not sleepiness nights by my purple heart closed the chapter out on that part of my life.
I'm in the same boat as you are. I'm ready to serve my country. I'm also choosing to go to the Marines. So Thankful for All that have served, are serving, and that will serve.
As a soldier in the United States Army I feel that this song is so perfect for how I feel about the army and the way of life I live now . Thank you For this video SPC Echevarria U.S. Army
Thank you for your service. God bless you, keep you safe, and help you make it home alive for you and your loved ones. Amen. ❤️👁️👁️✝️🔥❣️🤍☘️💞💫🕊️♾️🛡️⛪⚔️💒🐑🦁🙏🇺🇲🎗️🗽🏡🛐
I retired in 06 as a USAF (AFSOC) medic after 23 years and 4 combat tours. I heard this song for the first time today and while I loved it it brought tears to my eyes. I salute all of you who have been there and done that. Stay strong 💪
23 Year US Army VET (1971-1994) Once a Soldier, ALWAYS a soldier! Civilians will never understand the pain, the fear, the SMELLS and the brotherhood created in a foxhole.
Thank you for your service i dont know what its like but i know someone who does my dad was stationed in germany before i was born but i can still hear him sometimes having nightmares
Beautiful!! My son was a member of the 82nd Airborne, spent 9 months in Afghanistan. I'm proud of his service, but don't like what it did to him. God bless our troops wherever they are stationed, may they all come home alive.
I never served and could never say I feel this song on the level our great men and women who served feel it but I have so much respect for everyone who has fought for this country and the ones who signed that blank check!! I love my country!! Republican or Democrat it doesn’t matter this is one thing we should all be able to come to an agreement with!
I'm not nor never been in the service but my best friend was n I am very thankful for what all you men and women did just hope yall make it home physically and mentally cause my best friend made it home but not mentally but he acts like hes ok but you can tell. Just want to say thanks to all of you heroes
God I miss my times in the Army😢 and the friends I made there. I also met other good soldier there and now wonder how many of them lost their lives to soon, so far the only personal death that been confirmed to me was my best friend and a woman I once and still love ❤. To all my fellow Soldiers and Veteran also remember the fallen heroes for as long as you live.
This is the best song out there I'm 12 years old but I'm gonna be a marine I love this country and songs like this very great song and every US military fighter I thank u so much u are great 1 like - 1 salute for the military out there
My husband (Marines) says he watches this every day. It is very beautifully written and performed. You can really feel the emotion in Mitch's voice. We shared it on facebook. I hope wonderful song grows in popularity. It deserves more views than it currently has.
Mitch Rossell, I have 3 brothers in the military an every time I listen to this song it reminds my that they are gonna be OK an that they are coming home soon.
Camp Colombo Its actually about a Marine who keeps being brought into these illegal war games outside of training camp. Gunsmoke a german shepard mix from Africa.
Respect for u brother from India
thank you for your service
Hunter, may I just say that my husband also has PTSD but his is not combat related, and I still struggle to understand. It is very hard to deal with and has changed our lives, not for the better, I might add. May God bless you and your family this Christmas and throughout the years to come. Love and blessings from Australia.
Hunter Philpot.
Hold her tight and dont let go not many try to understand and thank you for your Service.
Semper Fidelis brother the corps will always have your back
been home 13 yrs ,as I lie awake at 4am ,unable to sleep I found this song ,and can't stop the tears
Keep fighting the good fight!
11, cant get it off
It’s an ongoing battle brother, 16 years since I left Baghdad. Remember that help is out there and never let the bad days win!
God bless you for your service ❤️❤️
no thank necerary, i wish i could go back in.
I hope I can leave up to all my brothers before me but with my last breath I will still fight for this country
I am sure that you will live up to them, and i feel the same way
Thank you for your service
When I was over there, I kept wanting to get back home. And now I'm here - and I want to go back out there. I wasn't even old enough to buy my own beer when I first saw a friend put in the ground.
Thank you so much for your service and sacrifice.
+HeadshotWaffle thx for what you did man I cant even imagine what you went through amen to u man
thank you for the your service to the country
HeadshotWaffle A big fucking hooah. I am joining the fight shortly. thank you and a big solute.
I know the way you feel my grandfather who served in Nam is helping me. I wish I could go back I was a better man then
Still here in 2020. 9 years Army Infantry and 3 deployments. It has been 4 years since leaving the military and these words still hold true. To all my brothers and sisters; past and present, keep your head up. You are not alone and will never be alone. Never give in to the war within. I truly love you all and I understand!!
Thank you for your service and sacrifice for my freedom 🇺🇸 I owe you my life 💯 Merry Christmas 🎄
Forget us not
Here we lie beneath the poppies
Blowing in the Flanders air
Do not forget our sacrifice
Do not forget that we were there
Young men forged in heat of battle
Neighbors, brothers, sons
Lost in time, with just our markers
Lost to lie, beneath the sun
Remember us as men of valor
Remember what we came to do
We came, and died, do not forget us
We gave our lives up, just for you
Forget us not, beneath the poppies
Where the sky is no longer dark
Remember us as long dead heroes
We came, we fought, we left our mark
Forget us not, please pass the torch on
Forget us not, more than this day
Forget us not, we were all soldiers
And we remain so....all the way!!!
Forget us not....

Thanks brother I needed to see this
Hooah
Thank you for your service!!
That is my friend and brother Chris Corbin featured in the video. He is a true hero and one of the best people that I have had the honor and privilege of serving with. I wish more people in this world had half the heart and love for this country as this man.

God bless you all 🙏🇺🇲
I wish my Daddy was here to hear this beautiful song.

Thank you for your service

I'm not American. Never had much experience with anything close to the military. But I know from the bottom of my heart I respect the hell out of all the brave men and women fighting through hell and back to keep their home safe.

Cheryl Farley wow what story thank you for share and tell George I said thank you for is his service my dad served in the army
My grandpa was in Vietnam
I hear rotor blades and engines and I'm right back in Bosnia. A lot of folks don't know a lot about what happened over there... it was a news blip a couple of times, but they never really tell people what was going on. They boil it down to ethnic cleansing, but it was a whole lot more than that for my Army Company and I. I am there every single day...

Nothing in my life can compare to what it is like to have been a active duty Marine. I miss it, I miss the brotherhood, the good and bad times, i miss having the eagle globe and anchor over my heart

Heath Davis take the ASVAB serious. it will determine what you qualify for and what you will be able to do once you are serving. Also stay in good shape.

We owe a huge thanks to these soldiers once a soldier always a soldier thank you for your service.😥this song hits me right in the feels.
yes we do

well, when I lost my left eye, both legs from the knees down, and my left arm from the elbow down, the government basically said to me, 'sorry to hear that, here's enough money to cover your hospital bill and have a good life'
Good luck! And may you have a good life!

Thank you for the sacrifices all the Military personnel do to keep us free
Still hands down one of the all-time greatest songs I've ever heard. Never fails to hit like a truck right in the feels. I am a US Soldier and combat vet that just left active duty and am now trapped in this miserable civilian existence 95% of the time. No they never taught me to take it off, but i don't think I ever really want to. When I was wearing that uniform was the only time in my life that I was something. Without it is nothing but hate and whiskey. Never should have taken it off while I still had a breath in me.
Thanks, hope to see you in concert some day, if you are ever coming to new mexico
+alex crabb just curious-did you leave of your own wishes or phased out by the military? Sorry if this is too personal.

My daddy was in the army. He has PTSD, and this right here is one of the best songs out there!
thank your dad for me!
tell your dad thanks from one veteran to another. i also know his struggle with PTSD.
Thank your dad fro me! God Bless our Veterans - past, present, and those to come!
Side note: My little brother takes his practice ASVAB tomorrow with the recruiter for the ARMY before he takes the official test!
tell him i said good luck on it. and even better luck on the real one.
Thank the lord he made it home. I'm very sorry about the PTSD but I will say this love him and that's all that matters.
❤❤❤❤ Thank you to all Military and prayers for all . Yes horrific tragedy they go through. Beautiful song
The military didn't teach our troops how to take the uniform off. Thank you to all who are still wearing the uniform you are loved.
No.....they didnt.
Thats why we still rely on each other.
My great great uncle died wearing his uniform during the Korean War.

Absolutely a beautiful song that tugs at my heart. God Bless our Military and all who served 🇺🇸🙏🏻
Oh my heart!! I have never served.. But love so many who do and have.. And I felt this song deep in my soul. 😢💝 From the bottom of my heart.. THANK YOU to all who have served.. And currently serving!!!
This song hits home after serving 30 years and having been in some very heavy battles
❤
RIP to the fallen. From the UK , respect to US 🇺🇸🇬🇧
Thank You Luke.
Respect to ALL our fallen on both sides of the pond, friend. Despite the mess politicians make of things, they leave it up to the service men and women to do the hardest work, and bear the hardest consequences. I render a Veteran's salute to all of them. Lest we forget.
@@bretwhitmore8855 Agree!

I got out in 2012 right before the Boston bombing and I tried go there but no one would let me cuz of the brain surgery I had going on but my brothers and sisters were out there and all I can see in this video is the scary memories and I wish the pain would stop but it's so true thank you for your ur support every vet needs something like this it helps more than people know

as a future marine it's tough from what I hear. so I'm prepared to do my duty for the thing I believe in and come home.
Hopefully I be a future US Army soldier
shawn w thank you for your service
I'm in the same boat as you are. I'm ready to serve my country. I'm also choosing to go to the Marines. So Thankful for All that have served, are serving, and that will serve.

Thank you, every soldier. My life wouldn’t be the same without you people. Seriously thank you

I love my country!! Republican or Democrat it doesn’t matter this is one thing we should all be able to come to an agreement with!

My husband (Marines) says he watches this every day. It is very beautifully written and performed. You can really feel the emotion in Mitch's voice. We shared it on facebook. I hope wonderful song grows in popularity. It deserves more views than it currently has.
