  • In this reaction video we take a look at Cogito and their video entitled Islam explained. Islam is a monotheistic Abrahamic religion that originated in the 7th century CE in the Arabian Peninsula. It is based on the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad, as revealed in the holy book known as the Quran. Islam emphasizes the belief in one God (Allah) and the importance of submission to His will. The Five Pillars of Islam, which include the declaration of faith, prayer, fasting during Ramadan, giving to charity, and pilgrimage to Mecca, form the foundation of Islamic practice. Islam promotes values such as justice, compassion, peace, and the pursuit of knowledge. Muslims, the followers of Islam, strive to live in accordance with these principles while seeking spiritual growth and connection with God.

Do not take bad things from prophets and men of this world like Adam, David, Solomon etc
Muhammad married many to help them.
He killed many as they were bad.
So he added polygamy and jihad and made Quran.
You will get many women on earth and in heaven.
Beware in the last days many logical men will make many to fall.
Pray nonstop till you know God
Jesus is the only way ,truth and life.

7:27 In the Islamic narrative, the Prophet Muhammad "meditated" for six months before receiving revelation. That's because during those six months he experienced something strange: every night he dreamed, his dream would come true the next day. For example, he dreamed that someone visited him, and the next day that person actually came to him in the same clothes and said the same words as in the dream. That's why he thought something was strange and began to "isolate" himself in the cave.
13:47 Yes, we call the Prophet Muhammad "the seal of the prophets". This means that he was the last prophet sent by God to all beings, because previously prophets were only sent to specific groups, such as Prophet Moses and Prophet Isa (Jesus) who were sent only to the Children of Israel.
16:40 In Islam, one can get out of hell. As long as he believes that there is only one God and tries as hard as he can to worship him, he will go to heaven. But, if he commits a major sin, such as murder, he will be "cleansed" first in hell to cleanse those sins and come out as a "new person" and after that God will put him in heaven. Even so, the Quran deliberately gives very "sadistic" details about hell so that no one thinks of committing a major sin and thinks he can go to heaven because he believes in one God. God said, just one second in hell would be excruciating.
21:00 Yes, Arabic calligraphy is amazing. Usually mosques are filled with calligraphy of 99 attributes of Allah, the name of the Prophet Muhammad, shahada, or verses from the Quran. And no, no one drew a picture of the Prophet Muhammad, most just made calligraphy of his name.
24:56 Yes, you must become a Muslim to go to the Kaaba and some areas around it. Beyond that, you're free to visit it. This is actually just a tradition of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, so you will be punished by the kingdom, but in the time of the Prophet Muhammad, he invited anyone into the mosque, even the Prophet's Mosque in Medina.

You can't enter inside the building if you're not a Muslim because there is already so many Muslims visiting kabah but if they allow non muslims as well then it'll be more packed as you have seen in the video I've lived there when i was young and believe me it used to be so full sometimes that people would pray on roadsides outside the kabah.

@@stayspiritual and other reason why non muslim not allowed entered masjidil haram (where is kaba inside at that masjid) because people who are not from same religion, basically they will dont want to follows other religion rules or give proper respect for the rules coz they are not a muslim, so why should they obey the rules for something they didnt believe or have a faith? (Not all people can respect other people's rules, right??). Even for a muslim who enter masjidil haram, they must follows the certain rules (the rules is more strict n have special rules compared entered a common masjid around the world), such as must wear a certain clothing while doing tawaf (circling the kaba), how to pray, what we must do and do not while do tawaf etc.
And THE MAIN REASON, we go there is for worship Allah n answered His call. It's a pure spiritual journey for whom believe in Allah n His call n His rules. We not go there just for playing around, for recreation like we do to other tourism spot etc but purely to worship Him n answered His call. That why non muslim cant enter to masjidil haram and Kaba, coz surely they didnt go there to worshipping n answered Allah's call. But just like a tourist like they go to tourist spot , or even for mocking muslim and insult the holy place just to show off on social media (u can found some non muslim slipped in and pretending be a muslim, wear hajj clothes, but after he entered kaba, he mocking n insult the holy place at there just bragging on his social media how brave he is).
They already do that even we have a rules, imagine if we didnt have rules to allow non muslim entered the holy place, the spiritual journey will lost the meaning n kaba will become just like other tourist spot where people who come at there with so many purposes n intention, not just to worship Allah.

@slaywhat, please make sure before you make a comment on something that you have knowledge of what you’re talking about, to not risk spreading wrong information. Because what you just said “it’s not because of religious reason” is completely wrong.
Allah has forbidden the disbelievers from entering into Makkah. Period. This is mentioned in the Quran:
      A non-Muslim is not allowed to enter Makkah, the evidence is the saying of Allaah (which means): {Verily, the Mushrikoon (polytheists, pagans, idolaters, disbelievers in the Oneness of Allaah, and in the Message of Muhammad - - are Najasun (impure). So let them not approach Al-Masjid Al-Haram after this, their [final] year.}
      [Quran 9:28].
Imaam Al-Baghawi interpreted the above verse saying:
"Allaah wanted to forbid them from entering the Haram (i.e. Makkah), because if they enter Makkah, they will be near the Haraam Mosque.' So, this verse is evidence about forbidding the non-Muslims from entering Makkah, may Allaah protect it, and the reason why they are prohibited is because they are impure. Ash-Shawkaani said: 'They are prohibited from entering Makkah because they are impure."

@@SlayWhat.-. this is why it’s a major sin to speak about Quran/Sunnah without knowledge. If you are not 100% certain about what you’re talking about, it is better to stay silent.
The Muslim should not speak about anything of which he does not have sufficient knowledge, or anything of which he does not remember the details correctly, or anything of which he has no knowledge. Rather he should speak - if he does speak - on the basis of knowledge, otherwise remaining silent is safer. Allah does not require him to speak on the basis of speculation or suspicion, which is the falsest of speech, or to speak of that of which he does not have sufficient knowledge.

Instead of Kaaba ( the black stone) in Saudi Arabia, people used to face towards masjid al Aqsa which is in Jerusalem while praying. The direction of prayer from masjid al Aqsa to Kaaba ( mecca ) was changed at the time of prophet Muhammad..which is also a strong proof that Kaaba is not the idol that muslims worship..it's only the direction which muslims face at the time of prayer as a symbol of unity..to stand united facing at one direction

  • @watchmyplaylisttoopenyoureyes
    @watchmyplaylisttoopenyoureyes 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Hey thanks for reacting.
    Few points
    1.
The statement "Islam is only the way" that has to be understood holistically with all the exception that Islam gives.
You must learn the consequence of differnet categories - Example Christian, Jews before Muhammed, Ignorant people from other religion like Hinduism, christianity, judaism etc.
About Kids who die at young age, Or people who never received, understood the full message to the time it was clear in their hearts,.
An old person who received the message when he was old.
Like this there are many exception who will be judged as per their living circumstance by God.
In Islam god is the "Most JUST"
This is a very deep discussion which has to be understood with nuances.
    2.
Since you are being exposed to words like hell, heaven, eternal hellfire etc. You might not digest few things and make fun of it. This can be because people coming from a non muslim background, tries to impose their idea of hell and heaven to Islam.
Example - Heaven in Islam is a place which no human has seen, no human has heard of what it will be, no human mind can think of what it will be.
But God has told us few details from his side so that we may understand in a limited manner ( Example - Even a grass beauty is increasing every second to humongous times while you are looking at it) - So it is a sign that this is not a stagnant place like this world whose luxury you will get bored after sometime)
When God is saying eternal happiness - We cannot imagine with our human limitation that i will get bored of good things for eternity.

Would God be really merciful and just if he put those who struggled all their life for him and those who denied his existence and were of the evil people, in heaven.
    It doesn’t make sense.
There are people like hitler, stalin who massacred and tormented innocent people. Are they equal to those who did good in this life and never harmed anyone and believed in God and his message through his messengers?
Allah says in the Surah Ghafir verse 58:
(40:58) Never can the blind and the seeing be equal; nor those that believe and act righteously and those that do evil. Little do you understand.

Around a thousand years ago Imam Muhammad Al Ghazali told story of a man walking in the jungle. A roaring lion ran towards him and the man ran as fast as he could to escape from it. He noticed a well in front of him and he jumped inside hoping to escape from the lion. As he was falling inside the well, he grabbed onto the rope and saved himself. The man was so relieved but when he looked down he saw a big snake at the bottom of the well. It had its jaws wide open ready to swallow him up. The man then looked up and saw two mice nibbling at the rope. A black mouse and a white were both chewing into the rope. The scary lion was still prowling outside the well. The man's heart was pounding as he wondered how he could escape from this. Then he noticed a honeycomb in front of him which had delicious honey dripping from it. He stuck his finger into the honey and put it inside his mouth. It was delicious and for a moment he forgot about the lion, the snake and the two mice chewing at the rope. Imam Ghazali explained that the lion is like the angel of death which is always looming above us. The snake was like his grave which all humans will face. The black mouse and white mouse were like the day and night which are always nibbling at our life (the rope). The honey was like this dunya (this temporal world) which with its momentary sweetness makes us forget the death and the eternal life.

Just a small correction, regarding hell, some people do stay in hell forever, but with god’s mercy he may take some people out of hell after they are punished, for example some muslims might enter hell fire for some time till they are purified fully of their sins, it is up to god at the end of it all, we don’t point at someone and say this person is going to hell or heaven, this decision is god’s decision and his alone.

The answer: it is just some architect which just a sign for the people showing the direction of Kaaba that they should be directed towards in their Salah (pray).
Question-2: can anyone who is not Muslim visit Kaaba? the answer is not Why? because this is a holy place where people there should be wear according to Islam and they should be clean as Allah said in Quran: "(O you who have believed, the polytheists are only unclean, so do not approach the Sacred Mosque.) [Al-Tawbah: 28]

"Head of the State as well as the Church, he was Caesar and Pope in one; but he was Pope without the Pope's pretensions, and Caesar without the legions of Caesar, without a standing army, without a bodyguard, without a police force, without a fixed revenue. If ever a man ruled by a right divine, it was Muhammad, for he had all the powers without their supports. He cared not for the dressings of power. The simplicity of his private life was in keeping with his public life."
"In Mohammadanism every thing is different here. Instead of the shadowy and the mysterious, we have history....We know of the external history of Muhammad....while for his internal history after his mission had been proclaimed, we have a book absolutely unique in its origin, in its preservation....on the Substantial authority of which no one has ever been able to cast a serious doubt." Reverend Bosworth Smith in 'Muhammad and Muhammadanism,' London, 1874.

"...the Meccans still demanded of him a miracle, and with remarkable boldness and self confidence Mohammad appealed as a supreme confirmation of his mission to the Koran itself. Like all Arabs they were the connoisseurs of language and rhetoric. Well, then if the Koran were his own composition other men could rival it. Let them produce ten verses like it. If they could not (and it is obvious that they could not), then let them accept the Koran as an outstanding evident miracle." Prophet Muhammad(pbuh) didn't spent his whole life in the cave. He spent his childhood like normal kids, he helped his uncle taking care of his goats and learn business at the market until he's a full grown man. But he spent many days praying in the cave, because he hated the way people were worshipping idols.

I just wanted to note that this video is not as accurate in its information about Islam, so if you find anything that this video mentioned that goes against what you read in the Quran or Sunnah (i.e., Hadith), then obviously take the Islamic sources as a criterion for your information about Islam. Nonetheless, it is still an informative video. Regarding the place that you want to visit, Mecca, it is actually only for Muslims. Anyway, keep going in your journey of learning 👍🏽

According to The Encyclopaedia Britannica: “Most of the classical literature that spurred the European Renaissance was obtained from translations of Arabic manuscripts in Muslim libraries.” (1984), Vol. 15, p. 646. Bertrand Russell in ‘History of Western Philosophy,’ London, 1948, p. 419. "Our use of phrase 'The Dark ages' to cover the period from 699 to 1,000 marks our undue concentration on Western Europe... "From India to Spain, the brilliant civilization of Islam flourished. What was lost to Christendom at this time was not lost to civilization, but quite the contrary..."To us it seems that West-European civilization is civilization, but this is a narrow view." Professor, Reverend, W. Montgomery Watt reminds us in The Influence of Islam on Medieval Europe (Edinburgh: University Press, 1972: “It is clear that the influence of Islam on Western Christendom is greater than is usually realized. Not only did Islam share with Western Europe many material products and technological discoveries; not only did it stimulate Europe intellectually in the fields of science and philosophy; but it provoked Europe into forming a new image of itself. Because Europe was reacting against Islam, it belittled the influence [of Muslim scholarship].... So today, an important task for our Western Europeans, as we move into the era of the one world, is to correct this false emphasis and to acknowledge fully our debt to the Arab and Islamic world." Tim Wallace Murphy, A Templar Historian wrote a book called What Islam Did For Us, on page 215 sums up as follows: "even the brief study of history revealed in these pages demonstrates that the European culture owes an immense and immeasurable debt to the world of Islam. Muslim scholars preserved and enhanced the learning of ancient Greece, laid the foundation for modern science, medicine, astronomy and navigation and inspired some of our greatest cultural achievements. If it were not for the inherent tolerance for the People of the Book that was manifest within the Islamic World for over 15 centuries, it is highly doubtful that the Jewish people could have survived as a racial and religious entity, and we would have lost their contribution to art, medicine, science, literature and music which is almost beyond measure. We in the West owe a debt to the Muslim world that can never be fully repaid. Despite our common religious and spiritual roots, we have thanked them with centuries of mistrust, the brutality of the crusades and imperial takeover that conducted with callous indifference to the needs of the peoples we exploited"

22:46 "2.5% you guys have a good comparation christian coz they want 10%".
There is differences zakat in islam with tithe (10%) in christian, where zakat is an absolute obligation for muslim (except the poor), while in christian it have different opinion depend on the church. Some church make it as obligation, some church make it as voluntary (not an obligation). And for the purpose n how to paid/distribute is also different. In islam, we can distribute our zakat by ourself to people who allowed accepted zakat or we can paid it through trusted people or trusted zakat associations who collect n distributed zakat (it called amil zakat) and this association will distribute it to people who allowed accepted zakat. It's our choices. So it's not must we give to spiritual leader on local mosque like Christian people must give it to local church that they attended for every month.
And the purpose also different, zakat is for poor people, in needy, orphanage, poor widowed, people who just newly embrace islam if they have economic difficulty, poor people who have debt, etc. While 10% in christian purpose is more to service to God's religion (build up the church, support church works, support priesthood or pastor financial or who work for the kingdom of God, an activity to spread God's message throughout the world or for missionaries), but some priest allowed to give tithe on poor people, but mostly still must give to the local church.
And there is some different types zakat in islam, not just one type.
    For example
    1. Zakat fitrah is an obligation that must be paid by all muslims (man, women, older people n kids, but still have requirements, only for them who can afford to pay or have economic ability, coz this zakat purpose is for the poor people). For older people or kids in the household, of course it will be paid from people who hold the responsibility for their family member will paid for them). It will be paid once a year at the beginning of the holy month of Ramadan until before the Eid prayer. Even though it is an obligation, zakat is only intended for people who have economic capability.
The amount to be paid as zakat fitrah is 2.5 kg or 3.5 liters of rice or sha' per person. Or some mazhab can replace it with money that have same values with 2.5kg of rice/wheat.
    2. Zakat mal. Also known as zakat on assets, zakat mal is applied on money income, gold, silver and other valuable assets owned and rented by someone. So u not just counted from money that you have, but if have a gold or other valuable assets like a private house, land, bank deposit, etc u must counted it too. The condition is that the assets is halal (from its origin), meets the minimum limit, and has been owned for one year. You must paid 2.5% from money, gold n other valuable assets that u have in one year and give it to poor people directly or through people/organization who will distribute the zakat (amil zakat national agency). It's ur choices.
    3. In some countries such as indonesia and malaysia, we have other zakat types called Income zakat (this still inside of zakat mal, but the differences, in zakat mal, we will paid it after one year we owned the money, assets, gold, etc. While income zakat, we can paid it in every month if we accepted salary every month, or if we get money from trading (in agriculture, farm, fishery etc), then we can paid zakat everytime we get money from the trading n the money we get is reach the limit for zakat requirements.
For people who get salary in every month, then they must paid zakat for 2.5%. People who get money from agriculture n fishery trading, they must paid 5% for zakat on each trade transaction every harvest time. People who get money from farm, then their zakat is 10% everytime they do trading.
But if they hold their salary or trading for whole year, then it will become zakat mal.

Which is why in Islam burning corpses is forbidden. Only humans with even an atom of faith in God will be able to escape hell.
