    Just correction on 16:55. Muhammad ﷺ could not read or write. He was the unlettered prophet. He would recite what the angels told him and ask his companions to write it down. Bobby’s perspective is a great suggestion for you guys, and I’m glad you already familiar with it now. Keep seeking the truth and never deny or reject your own selves. In other words, try to have this mentality that whatever and wherever the truth is, then accept it as it is without buts and ifs. Because at the end of the day, certainty is the natural state of mind or things in general that everything rest upon even your own selves. Otherwise, reality would be chaotic and nothing would be in place such as, when you’re walking the street, you don’t expect to fly or to go through a wall (like video games glitches 😆), when the sun rise from the east, then none expect it to rise from the west the next morning…etc. Therefore, everything and everyone needs certainty and order. I hope I clarified my point 😅

    • @stayspiritual
      @stayspiritual  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I hear everything you are saying, and WILL think about it, but WITHOUT quickly responding, chew on this Milton Glaser quote for a few day: "Certainty is a closing of the mind. To create something new, you must have doubt."
      ALSO
      Erick Fromm: "the quest for certainty blocks the search for meaning. Uncertainty is the very condition to impel man to unfold his powers."

    • @نورةالثقفي-خ7د
      @نورةالثقفي-خ7د ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@stayspiritual I honestly tried to understand these quotes, but it is a bit vague to me 😅. So could you please give some examples that these quotes could be applied to 🙏🏽 Because I’m not familiar enough with this philosophy, and I don’t want to misunderstand it. By the way, I’m very okay with extreme examples as well since the goal is to be able to understand or have a sufficient idea about it. For example, if someone have uncertainty of his/her existence, then what could be the possible achievements or outcomes from this state in terms of the relationship with one’s self, society, environment…etc. By the way, English isn’t my first language, so I hope we’re doing a fairly good job at exchanging our views

      I may agree with this, as God instilled reason and logic to human, and top it off with free will. So it is my deductions that is why God leave some nuances in choices that we could make. To see which of us utilize his blessing rightly.
      And this is why I'm inclined to agree in Islam perspective that this live is a test from God. And God elevated mankind above the angle by commanding the angles to bow down to us, cause angle will always obey his lord command. But we are able to see the wisdom behind our choices. And arrived to certainty.
      With that, we think mankind could appreciate God to a higher degree than the angles.

      @@stayspiritual it's good to ponder & question things, but not over the top. Just like how believing in anything people tell you without really thinking is correct or not. I'm saying there should be balance. It shouldn't tilt to one side. Ponder & question, & also be logical. How else do we have people who know what gravity is? You question, doubt, & try to logically understand & think about it. Once you have fully confirmed something, then U can establish it as a fact. Don't just think doubting is the only thing good. Thinking logically AND basing on evidence, is how it should be.

    The creator in Islam is independent self-sufficient and necessary. He beget none nor was he begotten and there's none in existence equal or comparable to him otherwise he won't be necessary. He is the answer and explanation to whatever exists wherever and whenever they exist and that's mainly the reason why would anyone believe in the creation argument because this argument is a logical possibility and an attempt to explain the real world. Thus whoever believes in this idea is in touch with reality.

    32:55 another great point and that was also clarified in different places in the Quraan as God Said: " And We certainly sent into every nation a messenger, [saying], "Worship Allah and avoid Taghut." And among them were those whom Allah guided, and among them were those upon whom error was [deservedly] decreed. So proceed through the earth and observe how was the end of the deniers." [16:36]
    and Said also :"Indeed, We have revealed to you, [O Muhammad], as We revealed to Noah and the prophets after him. And we revealed to Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob, the Descendants, Jesus, Job, Jonah, Aaron, and Solomon, and to David We gave the book [of Psalms].And [We sent] messengers about whom We have related [their stories] to you before and messengers about whom We have not related to you. And Allah spoke to Moses with [direct] speech.[We sent] messengers as bringers of good tidings and warners so that mankind will have no argument against Allah after the messengers. And ever is Allah Exalted in Might and Wise." [4:163-165]
    so all people through out the time had had a messenger from God to deliver the same message ( the Oneness of God, worshipping of that one God).

      Not quite. Instead, it was a real struggle simply to exist. The existing structures, powers or culture refuse to allow anything to exist that they deemed threatening to their authority and cultural norms. A single man stood up and claimed divine revelation and with his success, replaced tribal authoritarianism/class structures with Consultational system of governance. And in Islam there are no racial, ethnic nor cultural criteria to being a Muslim or even being important in Islam. A person’s sincerity with God and usefulness to society, determines his or her rank with God.

    which makes total sense The One Who created us would know us best. it's not about obsession about certainty, of wanting solid things to believe in or being in rest by not knowing as you put it. it's about logic , what can be more of a leap of faith than believing in God , SomeOne that you can't see, hear or touch, but believing in His Existence nonetheless. 😊

A person (amongst his hearers) said: Verily a person loves that his dress should be fine, and his shoes should be fine. He (the Holy Prophet) remarked: Verily, Allah is Graceful and He loves Grace. when people always talk bad about certainty, it makes me wonder that why are the people talking like that. just take simple things in life to understand things so you don't need to study deeper in theology or philosophy to know this. certainty is a daily course we do for living. even you guys wanted to travel world and you do certainly know that for travelling you need money and you asked how to earn that much of money. before i was into islam i firmly believed i have a unique purpose to be created because every part of my body even have a unique function such as eyes for seeing and not for hearing and so do the other parts of my body. then those parts even have certain function so do i. i can challenge as philosophy student anyone that without certainty of most things you can never live your life, then purpose of life is more important in life so we have find the certainty in that purpose to fulfill.

And the fact that you would go so far as to say Hindus are monotheists just goes to show you completely don’t understand “one God” and that’s why you turned a human into a god. May Allah guide you. So the conclusion is the devil already lost but he wants to make as much as possible more humans to be part of his lost by misguiding them from knowing and worshipping Allah! If you don't know what he knows through his learning over the years than I don't think you have the right to disagree with him. You can I mean, but it would sound stupid. How can you disagree on something that you don't even tried to look into? Come out of your bubble and struggle a little, take a book, start reading, read Quran perhaps. Love you both, so do not be offended. Christianity is not monotheistic. In Islam, God has 99 attributes, but they all belong to the same God. In Christianity, there are three separate entities: God the Father, God the son, and God the Holy Spirit. They are not the same “person”. God sent Jesus. He could not have sent Himself. God resurrected Jesus (in the Bible). They are separate entities. The trinity is not mentioned anywhere in the Bible nor does the Bible ever instruct to worship 3 separate entities. The Bible has always been clear: “This is eternal life, that they may know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent.” John 17:3

    Just to clarify even if this is late, in Islam there is no fallen angel like lucifer story. Why? Because angel made of light and light is constant especially speed. It never changes, and devil is made from fire while human is made from clay. When Adam was created Allah swt command the rest of the creation to give respect to him and Eve (aka Hawa) but devil (aka Syaitan) did not. He deny and even say he is better, faster, stronger. This story is the whole concept where humility is important. Because of devil pride he swears every generation will succumb to his temptation, doing immoral things, follow your lust (aka nafs) etc. Every other thing like jealousy or greed is also wrong. However we need those to push ourselves in life to do better, to improve right? The line is drawn when you HAVE TOO MUCH of it. So yes you can have pride in your work, boast a bit like "I actually did good 😊". There is nothing wrong with that.
    Just to clarify why too much pride is bad, its because you will elevate yourself. And when you think you are higher you will start to look down on people. And when you look down on people that is when you start stomping on people like its nothing. Then the unthinkable happens. So yeah, remember the word Islam practice.. Moderation is key. Stop going overboard or do thing half *ss otherwise we are no different than devil who condemn whole humanity just by the fact he have to give respect to first human ever made.
