      Wait why do you cap your fps, what benefit does it do

    • @Massivecarcrash
      @Massivecarcrash ปีที่แล้ว +10

      @@vivs005 Depends on the game. Say you play an older game and it runs 300fps and your monitor is 120hz, then you're running your GPU hot for no benefit at all other than maybe 2-3 miliseconds of response time. (Which unless you're a pro player, you wont notice anyway)
      If you're running your GPU/CPU maxed out all the time, it generates heat plus use alot of power which in turn effects the lifetime of your GPU/CPU.

    I think asus the only brand that has space-grade lubricant using turf version to reduce noise level and bearing. Also has fan IP5X a dust resistance to prevent dust comply too much. How was it? Do you need to clean? Alot for dust built up or no? Becsuse IP5X in works?

    • @leizerg
      @leizerg  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think the rating is for dust getting into the fan chassis. The radiator needed a little cleaning but it wasn’t bad after a year. All depends on the PC case and how dusty your room gets.

      @@leizerg True, but for ASUS dust built-up probably will take about 12 months to 1 year 3 months estimation. Usually GPU within 6-7 months dust built-up if you active using GPU up till 60%-80% temperature. It's all because of IP5X dust resistance not dust-proof, I've seen the science behind it putting on dust chamber using dust air to sprout out from the chamber and it was excellent

    Hi Leizerg.
    I just bought this model about a week ago (I have the GDDR6X version with 2x8 power supply pin) and I'm on the 3rd video card because the other two cards were returned due to a different noise from the fans when they started (fan ratting) and the second because of the strong coil whine it produced. The board I have now arrived yesterday and it no longer has fan ratting and no strong coil whine noise, it has little and is audible if you listen to it after 150-160W upwards. Mine draws 220-240W in full load.
    How is your video card doing if you still have it?

    Hello, I will be buying RTX 3060 ti but I'm wondering if I should go for the asus tuf oc or for the gigabyte's gaming oc. I think that asus's rtx 3060 ti is colder and less noisy and it doesn't really matter in terms of fps in both of these cards, so that means asus's one would be better for me. But maybe I don't know something, if you could say if my reasoning is making any sense heh. I don't care about price because it's almost the same but would like to have good fps but if asus's card option is definitely cooler, which means less sound i think, I would prefer it. I am not into pc's stuff and will be upgrading from laptop with mx150 to rtx 3060 ti pc (so small upgrade i guess haha) and I think asus's rtx is good, but maybe gigabyte's is a lot better and I just don't know it and could eat that louder card for visible fps boost because I care more about it than about sound, thx for help if you managed to read all of this 😄

      Try to change the fan curve manually in Asus software or any other. 58 gives you plenty of room to work with.

    So here is the booper, after 5 minutes I hate this thing, fans feel cheap, sound cheap and are noisy even with the oberhyped dual ball bearing crap. Runs freaking hot even at low settings this thing is ramping up and down continuously. My freaking GTX 970 and 1660 cards that are over 10 years old kick this crappy cards butt for 1/4 of the price.

    Bought this card 1+ month ago, second hand with 1+ year warranty left on it.
    So far no issues at all, still has good temps and it can run everything I play on my 2560x1080 Ultrawide monitor.
    Even the brand new Plague Tale Requiem plays on Ultra with DLSS Quality between 50-75 fps 'I have my max fps locked to my monitor's refresh rate' and that game looks amazing so I can't complain.
    In my In Win 101c case the GPU sag was minimal but I almost completely fixed it for free using Jaz's method showed here:

      Hey!
      Everything looks good one remark though - as far as I remember the cooler will be too high for this case. You need something that’s max 155mm, the nocturnal according to specs is 158.
      Edit: okay so it seems that it should be fine, according to a post on Reddit. Never tried it though so can’t confirm 100%

      I’m personally using Ryzen 5600x with 3060Ti on a Asus board. I’m cooling it with be quiet pure rock 2. I used NR200P but currently switched to Torrent Nano. But I still think the NR200 is better overall. The nano is easier to build in.
