Purchased this card a couple weeks ago and everything about it is top notch. Was trying to decide between this and the ROG Strix version. What sealed the deal for me was the front metal shroud, which is very uncommon, less RGB. and the price was about $30 less than Strix version. The two main advantages of Strix model are a little higher factory overclock, and a lot of RGB if that's what you want. Other than that, these cards use the exact same heatsink and fans. The ROG Strix has a front plastic shroud like most others. The TUF version is built like a tank, overclocks well, runs cool, and is whisper quiet, like you mentioned. Very happy with it.

Would you recommend picking it up for $599? One of my gpu fans died on my current 1070ti and I'm looking for an upgrade. Would it, in fact, be an upgrade? My biggest concern are the temperatures, but that doesn't seem to be a problem with this card which is why I'm leaning towards it.

All u need to worry about is ur Power supply and cpu. Make sure you have a good enough watts like 650w or above should be enough and a good cpu like the ryzen 5 5600x or i7. Or i5 but that doesn’t rlly compete with the i7 and the ryzen 5600x paired with the card.
