HOW TO: Twitch Stream With Any Music Without Voicemeeter Mixer And Not Get DMCA Strikes

Want to be able to stream while playing your favorite music and not get muted or copyright strikes? In this video, I will show you how to set up a virtual audio cable to allow you to play music in your stream but not on your VOD to avoid being muted or getting a copyright strike.
Excuse the poor quality, I recorded this in SLOBS to enable me to show OBS, I forgot to pump the bitrate up.

@@MadAboutTutorials thanks for the video. I'm a new streamer and think I don't understand the DMCA rules. So as long as I separate the audio so that it can be muted in my VODs, I can play any copyrighted music without getting permission from the owners first, and not get a strike?

how do you make it so i can hear it? when i enable output and monitor it then plays through desktop as well

sounds like you need to set your default output device for obs to your headphones in windows sound options

Tick the A1 or A2 or A3 (which ever you have selected as your headphones) in your spotify channel

@@MadAboutTutorials I am using Restream IO to multiplatform including Twitch. It doesn't have separate VOD Track. Does it only work streaming directly to twitch? Meaning just one dedicated platform?

@@Chaos1TV Yes, OBS is my preference. I found SLOBS to be a resource hog, while it is a lot more user friendly, it comes at a cost of FPS. If you were running a dual PC streaming set up, then SLOBS might have a slight advantage.

You need to separate from the Desktop audio.

@@pixieangel155 this would indicate that you are capturing you headphone audio as your desktop source in OBS, play around with your desktop audio source.
